TIME Magazine Goes All-In With Anti-Semitism

Truth is, magazines like Time and Newsweek's primary readership is almost strictly liberal - the self-involved, self-declared liberal intelligentsia, who often need to peruse a few words of newsprint to keep up their bona fides. So it is natural that these magazines would write what their remaining audience likes to read - lest they lose these last stragglers and be rendered completely irrelevant.

So it is interesting to see what Time magazine considers mainstream liberal thought, and what they feel is acceptable discourse. We'll start with the cover of this week's edition:

The cover lays the entire blame for any and all crises in the Mideast on Israel, as - like all arrogant, barbaric conquerors - they're not interested in making peace, just enjoying the spoils of war.

And that is where anti-Israeli sentiment turns into rank anti-Semitism...Victor Davis Hanson takes apart the despicable essay by Karl Vick:

... Vick argues, the Jews are so obsessed with making money that they don’t much care what happens in thefuture: “The truth is, Israelis are no longer preoccupied with the matter. They’re otherwise engaged; they’re making money; they’re enjoying the rays of late summer. A watching world may still define their country by the blood feud with the Arabs whose families used to live on this land and whether that conflict can be negotiated away, but Israelis say they have moved on.”

You see, Vick has discovered that the rather worldly Israelis, after stealing their land from Arabs, don’t much care for the hard negotiations that the Obama administration is now engaged in (“big elemental thoughts”), not when it is a matter of — yes, making money: With souls a trifle weary of having to handle big elemental thoughts, the Israeli public prefers to explore such satisfactions as might be available from the private sphere, in a land first imagined as a utopia.”

Finally, at the end of Vick’s piece, we discover why this is all so. Jews, we are told by interviewee “Eli,” can’t help it; it’s in their DNA. They like making money at the expense of everything else, from peace to justice: ”

So what does the Time magazine cover use as justification for its blood libel? Perhaps the oldest stereotype of the Jew, used since the Middle Ages as an excuse to persecute: The image of the Jew as a ruthless merchant, caring about money above all else, and willing to lie, steal, and kill for it.

Time and Vick did not have to use the flowered Star of David on their cover to hide the stench of the filth they are perpetrating. They could of at least had the guts to go all in, and use one of these classics:

After all, it wouldn't have offended their core readership...
