Chris Christie Dropping Hints About 2012?

Freudian, or is a cigar just a cigar? New Jersey Governor Chris Christie yesterday, commenting on Barack Obama's offer of "flexibility" to the states on the implementation of Obamacare:

“I’m not going to even be governor in 2014, so the fact that he’s offering flexibility in 2014 is really of no moment to most governors who need to balance their budgets this year,” Christie said.

If there were a second Christie term, it would start in January 2014. Is he presaging his own doom, as the governor who dare speaketh the truth? Or does he have other plans?

Announcing a run now is suicide; it would give the media almost two years to create a false narrative and rip the Republican candidate to pieces. But if Christie were to come in late, to a grassroots not enchanted by Mitch Daniels or Mitt Romney, well...

A good prosecuter knows to save his best argument for the end. And was Christie a good prosecutor?

I don't know, what would you call a guy with a record of 130-0 in cases brought against corrupt public officials?

Besides "savior"...
