Israel: Almost Exterminated By An Iranian Dirty Bomb?

Too early to gauge the truth of it all, but something about this story gives you that feeling in the pit of your stomach that we are dealing with something that is more fact than fiction. Although the truth may never be know...

Let's start off with the facts, such as they are - Somali pirates boarded and occupied the Iranian vessel "Iran Deyanat" on August 21st, and some strange events followed shortly thereafter:

They ransacked the ship and searched the containers. But in the days following the hijacking, a number of them fell ill and died, suffering skin burns and hair loss, according to reports.
The pirates were sickened because of their contact with the seized cargo, according to Hassan Osman, the Somali minister of Minerals and Oil, who met with the pirates to facilitate negotiations.
"That ship is unusual," Osman told the Long War Journal, an online news source that covers the War on Terror. "It is not carrying a normal shipment."

The pirates reportedly were in talks to sell the ship back to Iran, but the deal fell through when the pirates were poisoned by the cargo, according to Andrew Mwangura, director of the Kenya- director of the Kenya-based East African Seafarers' Assistance Program.

"Yes, some of them have died," he told the Long War Journal. "Our sources say [the ship] contains chemicals, dangerous chemicals."

The massive shipping company that controls the vessel, the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line (IRISL), was recently designated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury over nuclear proliferation concerns. IRISL, which is accused of falsifying documents to facilitate the shipment of weapons and chemicals for use in Iran's missile program...

Ominous enough. But where was this ship - with its cargo of death - sailing to? Doug Ross posits a terrifying theory from an Israeli source:

Russian sources claim she was an enormous floating dirty bomb, intended to detonate after exiting the Suez Canal at the eastern end of the Mediterranean and in proximity to the coastal cities of Israel. The entire cargo of radioactive sand, obtained by Iran from China (the latter buys desperately needed oil from the former) and sealed in containers which, when the charges on the ship are set off after the crew took to the boats, will be blasted high into the air where prevailing winds will push the highly dangerous and radioactive cloud ashore.

Given the large number of deaths from the questing Somali pirates, it should be obvious that when the contents of the ship’s locked cargo containers finally descended onto the land, the death toll would be enormous.

This ship was nothing more nor less than the long-anticipated Iranian attack on Israel.

Had it not been stopped by the Somali pirates, the attack would have occured on Yom Kippur...more here.

Well....God sure does work in mysterious ways. Even pirates, albiet quite unwittingly, are doing His bidding.

Final thought:

We can talk about how horrible it is that Sarah Palin allows shooting wolves from airplanes, and how awful things this audience member said at a McCain rally, how uncouth it is for McCain to bring up William Ayers in this debate, etc.. And meanwhile the world out there is still dangerous, still full of men who want to watch the world burn, still eager to bring death and destruction on a mass scale to the innocent by any means they can...

But hey, I'm sure the community organizer is up to it.

Gulp.

Yeah..that last paragraph was very umm.. poetic, "bro" :)

Your tone seems to indicate your confidence in a McCain presidency. If the last eight years of Bush's tenure is anything to go by, and McCain's commitment to follow his policies to the letter, it can be ONLY beneficial to Iran/Hezbollah/AlQaida or any other of the worlds evil doers.

If I were you.. I would just pin my hopes on Obama doing the right thing. :)
