Racist Michael Stipe Bitch-Slapped By FOX

In an attempt to boost his left-wing bona-fides, the emotionally anguished lead mumbler from the now-disbanded alt-pop group REM threw a hissy fit directed at the only news network not 100% in the tank for the Democrats.  From the REM website:

R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion" was used in the Fox News coverage of the Democratic National Convention last night. R.E.M. today, through its music publisher, Warner-Tamerlane Music, demanded that Fox News cease and desist from continuing its unlicensed and unauthorized use of the song. Michael Stipe said, "We have little or no respect for their puff adder brand of reportage. Our music does not belong there."

"Puff adder"?  Is he referrring to the snake?

Personally, I think he is referring to the comic-book villian.  Based on these grabs, he looks like a war-on-women, Nazi-type Republican to me:

...although in some cases he appears to be black.  Never knew Stipe was a racist, but then again, he is a liberal, and you know what they do to blacks who wander off the plantation...

Anyway, FOX blocks Stipe's complaint with the back of their hand:

...Fox News returned the volley by arguing they were within their legal requirements and suggested it was a publicity stunt by R.E.M.

“FOX News Channel’s use of an R.E.M. song during Thursday’s edition of ‘Fox & Friends’ was in full accordance with its license agreements with all appropriate parties,” a Fox News representative said. “Nevertheless, we’re always flattered to have this much attention for a song selection and we hope R.E.M. was able to satisfy their publicity fix.”

BAM!  That's gotta hurt...

Although the irony, of course, is that the expression "losing my religion" is a Southern one (Stipe is a Georgia boy, after all) meaning "At my wit's end".

Seems like FOX drove Stipe to lose his:

"I thought that I heard you laughing,
I thought that I heard you sing.
I think I thought I saw you try..."

Who is REM? and Michael Stipe? (who seems very reptilian-like himself, and a most pretentious little snot to boot)...Really. And more importantly, who cares?

FOX NEWS RULES!

A poor man's Sting. All of the pretentiousness, with none of the star power.

But enough star power to headline your POS blog. Yes, excuse Mr Stipe for not wanting to be a right-wing butt puppet like yourself. I know the 2 songs from Lee Greenwood and Hank Williams Jr. get old quick. If you don't like getting turned down, maybe start by asking permission. Not that you'd get it anyway. It's like hitting on a chick way too hot for you, and then calling her names after she turns you down. Maybe Coulter should cut an album so you asshats can have something beside Nickelback to play at your next circlejerk. Fuckchop.

Wow! Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, Michael Stipe!

I guess that would be the pos blog you took the time to visit, read, and comment on...although you couldn't have read it very carefully or you'd know Fox was within their legal rights to use the song. As for being a butt puppet, if you want to call someone that you should start with the lock step liberals of your own party. Oh the hypocrisy.
