Paul Krugman: Death Panels NOW !

"Folks' concerns over my plan are all based on bogus claims that we intend to set up death panels to kill off senior citizens," Obama said. "Well, that is preposterous. A death panel is only one of many ways we can exterminate the elderly...

OK, so that was from
The Onion. Alas, liberals never stray to far from self-parody, as Paul Krugman feels that Death Panels are in fact the best cost-saving measure in the health care reform bill. From I Hate The Media (which has the video, if you can stomach it):

Krugman: Think about people on the right. They’re simultaneously screaming, they’re going to send all of the old people to death panels and it’s not going to save any money. That’s a contradictory point of view.

Tapper:
Death panels would save money, theoretically.

Krugman: The advisory path has the ability to make more or less binding judgments on saying this particular expensive treatment actually doesn’t do any good medically and so we’re not going to pay for it. That is actually going to save quite a lot of money. We don’t know how much yet. The CBO gives it very little credit. But most of the health care economists I talk to think it’s going to be a really major cost saving.

Ah, a liberal shows his love and compassion for mankind the only way he knows how: By killing them. See Mao, Chairman and Stalin, Josef for more liberal role models who used "death panels" to affect hope and change...

This is not just the dreams of demented New York Times columnists... Ezekiel Emanuel, a top health-care adviser to President Barack Obama and older brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel,
has said the following:

"...medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia"

Like all prophets, Sarah Palin will not get recognition for her genius until her times has passed...
