See that crane? That's the sight of the former World Trade Center, where Islamic militants gleefully slaughtered almost 3,000 Americans. That's the place, where - should the dysfunctional government of New York ever get it built - thousands of relatives of the victims of Islamic hate will be mourning their loved ones, day after day, year after year.
And that circle, barely around the block, is where they will hear the Islamic call to prayer wailing above them, proclaiming "Allah Akbar", the same phrase used by the people who murdered their parents, their children, their husbands, their wives....
And if you find that offensive, well - you're just a hateful, xenophobic human being, the enemy of all that is good, the prime cause, in fact, of Islamic terrorism against us. Think of that, as your anguished thoughts are drowned out by the loudspeakers ordering you to face Mecca and fall upon your knees...
I'll leave you with a thought that Jonah Goldberg dismisses, but resonates with me quite clearly:
The 70 percent of Americans who oppose what amounts to an Islamic Niketown two blocks from Ground Zero are the real victims of a climate of hate, and the much-ballyhooed anti-Muslim backlash is mostly a myth.
