Did Mike Bloomberg Drive Mike Enright To Attempt Murder?

So it turns out the man who slashed a New York City cabdriver's throat after asking him if he was a Muslim was...a supporter of the Ground Zero Mosque:

The alleged assailant, Michael Enright, is — according to his Facebook profile and the website of the left-leaning media organization Intersections International — a student at the School of Visual Arts and a volunteer for Intersections, which recently produced a statement of support for the Park51 project and is funded by the mainstream, liberal Collegiate Church of New York.

Intersections did not respond to two messages, and the group does not appear to be picking up the phone. Enright did not respond to a message through his Facebook account.

Enright was trying to kill an innocent man in order to gin up hatred against other innocent people in order to allow a mosque to be built on the graves of other innocent people killed by the religion espoused by said mosque.

It's an epic fail...almost. He did find one sucker - Mayor Bloomberg, who grows
dumber by the minute:

“This attack runs counter to everything that New Yorkers believe, no matter what God we may pray to," Mayor Bloomberg said in response to the attack.

Bloomberg is too dense to realize that Enright was actually on his side. Or that perhaps it was Bloomberg's incendiary rhetoric that drove Enright to attempt murder in order to have the mosque built. In any case, Bloomberg decides to take another dive off the deep (left) end and urge the Muslims of the Mosque to remain rigid, hardline, intolerant, and spiteful:

A defiant Mayor Bloomberg, saying there should be no compromise, insisted last night that a mosque be built near Ground Zero, declaring, "We must do what is right, not what is easy.

"There are people of every faith -- including, perhaps, some in this room -- who are hoping that a compromise will end the debate," he said. "But it won't."

Amazing - the Mayor of New York now demands that a mosque be built on Ground Zero, barely hiding his disgust for those who may not approve , while refusing to criticize those on his own side who attempt murder on behalf of Mayor Mike's Jihad. Such self-blinding self-righteousness is shocking in a public figure, and will only lead to more mayhem. 99.9% which will be committed by the Mayor's side.

I leave you with these thoughts on where the mayor's jihad will take us:

Self-righteous people can talk themselves into forgetting they are part of a civilization. They can then feed on that culture, bringing it down. It's happened many times in the past. It could happen to us.
David Brin

The greatest enemy to human souls is the self-righteous spirit which makes men look to themselves for salvation.
Charles Spurgeon

Update: Interesting contribution re: Mike Enright in the comments...

Updare II: From Jim Geraghty's Morning Jolt:

We need to stop this mosque project, to prevent its supporters from assaulting any more Muslims!

No, you're wrong. I went to college with Mike Enright. He was a very troubled, violent drunk. I can tell you without a doubt that this kid was not liberal in anyway, because I got in many arguments with him about his REPUBLICAN VIEWPOINTS (myself leaning left). Mike Enright did not have any intentions or agenda other than to inflict pain on someone else. If you think there is any planning on this, then you are very mistaken.

Also, you don't have to be liberal to support the ground zero mosque. In fact, there are people of both parties who lean either way. Political parties are irrelevant to this discussion.

Interesting contribution. I read he had been in trouble with the law a few times as well for various "disorderly" offenses; fits in with what you are saying.

Could the "why" of Mike action's been completely non-political, and just another random act of violence in a city that still has its share?

All acts like these are to be deplored, the fact that this one has helped pour gasoline on a raging fire (even if that was not the intention) makes it even more despicable.

Remember, though, that when this act was first reported, the left went wild, blaming it on "right wing tea partier stoked on FOX's hate". While Enright's attempt at murder may not have been a political act (which would repudiate the first point of my post), my questions and concerns remain regarding Mike Bloomberg's infammatory rhetoric, and the damage they continue to do to civil dialogue...

Thanks again for your valid point, though.

His facebook also has a "like" link to the GOP TEA BAGGER Candidate Greg Ball in his district. He might've working for a left leaning media but his politics is republican. i.e. Joe Scarborough
