Hey, It Symbolizes His Political Death, OK?

Gee, how come death threats against political leadership is only kool and kitsch and outsider art when liberals are doing it?

A coffin was placed on a Missouri Democrat’s lawn, another in a string of incidents against lawmakers after their vote Sunday on a health care overhaul.

Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-Mo.) had a coffin placed “near his home,” a spokesman said Wednesday evening.

It symbolizes the death of the party, the death of the movement, not the man! Please..get a grip, and enjoy the zeitgeist :

This came after Rep. Tom Perriello’s (D-Va.) brother’s gas lines were cut...

Hey, if we are priced out of the carbon market by cap and trade, we'll all be freezing to death together next winter!! Cutting his gas lines just symbolizes our empathy for what he's trying to accomplish....Jeez...if you don't see that, maybe you should just leave the gallery, OK?

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) received death threats and Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) received a message saying snipers were being deployed to kill children of those who voted for health care overhaul

Ah..well....that's a bit tougher. But since a majority of Americans now understand that Stupak just opened the way to government-assisted, citizen-funded abortions, and that Slaughter attempt to circumvent the entirety of the Constitution in order to facilitate the seizure of 1/6th of the nation's economy, well...one can understand just a wee bit of dissent.
Roger Simon:

...in the grand tradition of totalitarian regimes everywhere, you employed “any means necessary” to make sure your ends were achieved, bribing and threatening your fellow Congressmen and women, etc. It is small wonder that our people are angry. It would be amazing if it were otherwise.

You have reaped a whirlwind by subverting a democracy. Now you must deal with it.

.... Violence is to be condemned, but so is the desecration of a great democracy.

Still. Expression of outrage are not the same as outrageous actions, but no one had better cross that line. We can wipe these guys off the face of the earth - this November, at the polls. Assuming no one tries to "deem and pass" an "Imperial Congress For Life"...

Of course, if we still had an independent press, we'd probably not even be here today. Which reminds me, look for the editorial pages of the Times or the WaPo to start calling for martial law to suppress the rage of the "teabaggers" before the Obama administration even does...
