Joe the Plumber Must be Destroyed!

Joe opened the curtain for all to see the true Obama philosophy (confiscate the wealth of the tax-paying producers to redistribute to the masses in order to bribe one's way into power), and Baracky and crew doesn't like it one bit. No magician likes it when the cards fall out of his sleeve, after all. So Joe must be destroyed.

Why? Because Joe is what most Americans really aspire to be - not tax-credit receiving victims, but hard workers who can grow a successful business and provide well for their families. Joe is a man who has no use for a President Obama, because his stated plan is to slow the growth of Joe's business and take away capital that might be used for re-investment, and to hand it out to the nonproductive members of society.

So Joe must go. He must be discredited, destroyed, shown to be less than a man, not representive of the American ideal. Obama himself leads the charge, sneering at Joe to the cheers of his halfwitted supporters:

Joe Biden comes out swinging, and looks small, mean, and petty in the process. Michelle Malkin lays it out:

Six-term Sen. Joe Biden's got some nerve going after citizen Joe the Plumber. But the entrenched politician from Delaware had no choice. Obama-Biden simply can't tolerate an outspoken citizen successfully painting the Democratic ticket as socialist overlords. And so a dirty, desperate war against Joe Wurzelbacher is on.

Sen. Biden launched the first salvo against the Ohio entrepreneur, challenging the veracity of his story: "I don't have any Joe the Plumbers in my neighborhood that make $250,000 a year."
Under an Obama-Biden administration, they'll make sure no Joe the Plumbers ever earn such a salary. "It's good for everybody," don't you know?

Biden, as is so often the case, twisted the facts about Wurzelbacher. Wurzelbacher never claimed to be making $250,000 a year. He told Obama that he might be "getting ready to buy a company that makes about $250,000, $270,000" a year. His simple point was that Obama's punitive tax proposals would make it more difficult to realize his dream.

Obama's followers couldn't handle the incontrovertible truth....

Those followers include the media, which have printed every smear and half truth they can dredge up (Sarah Palin sympathizes, Joe). Glenn Reynolds lays out some commentary and thoughts:

They've done more investigations into Joe the Plumber in 24 hours than they've done on Barack Obama in two years . . . .

... What I find really fascinating is the fact that the media elites are treating Joe the Plumber as if he is the one who is out of step with mainstream America, while Bill Ayers is an 'Eagle Scout'....

They have to, because Joe must be destroyed in order for Obama to survive. A nation that is self-sufficient, works hard for profit and gain, and prefers to keep their hard-earned wages is a nation that is out of step with Barack Obama.

So Obama, and the media, must discredit that mindset and replace it with an image of an America in ruins, disenheartened, disenfranchised, distraught - one looking for help and handouts, one incapable of pushing back against big business (like Joe's!), one that can only be saved - redeemed - by the One - Barack Obama.

Scary Coda: Is this a glimpse into life in Obama's America? Dissent met by public ridicule, personal destruction, financial ruin? Criticism of The One leading to accusations of racism and hatred, all echoed by a media made complaint by the "Fairness Doctrine"?

If it seems like a socialist answer to a democratic question, well....welcome to the rest of your life.
