How depressing that simply the spectre of a howling Muslim mob caused Comedy Central to censor tonight's episode of South Park. The blackened screen, declaring that Comedy Central refused to air the scene with Mohammed, was so out of character/style for this show that I'm convinced the censorship was genuine. Hey, you are talking about two guys who dropped acid at the Academy Awards a few years back (when "Blame Canada" was nominated for Best Song) - can you see them running scared at this point in the game?
Unless...was it all a riff on the Scientology episode, which Comedy Central now refuses to re-run? Did the blacked-out Mohammed really just represent the pulled episoded? Hmmm....

Parker and Stone were angered when told by Comedy Central several weeks ago that they could not run an image of Muhammad, according to a person close to the show who didn't want to be identified because of the issue's sensitivity.
The network's decision was made over concerns for public safety, the person said.
Comedy Central said in a statement issued Thursday: "In light of recent world events, we feel we made the right decision." Its executives would not comment further.
Freakin' cowards...strike another win for the terrorists. Thanks, Hollywood! And of course, how dare we question your patriotism...

The Iranian Circus Of Death!
Remember the second "Planet of the Apes" movie, where the humans find an underground church where mutants held services to reverently worship an atomic bomb ("Glory be to the Bomb, and to the Holy Fallout. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. World without end. Amen.") ? Well hold onto your hats, and fast foward (or rewind, from the year 3955) to modern-day Iran, as it announced the successful enrichment of uranium:
Ahmadinejad made his announcement at a nationally televised ceremony clearly aimed at drumming up popular Iranian support. He addressed an audience that included top military commanders and clerics in an ornate hall in one of Iran’s holiest cities, Mashhad.

The Uses of Anti-Semitism
Fascinating post by Europundit's Nelson Archer on what he sees as the overriding aim of Walt & Mearsheimer Harvard paper on the so-called “Israel Lobby” controlling America's foriegn policy:
...The paper, however, can and probably must be seen as a part of the other discussion, rather than a discussion in itself. Why? Because, in my view, it has a very clear and very simple goal, namely, the same goal f those rightist and/or isolationist Americans who, in the 30s, wanted to avoid any confrontation with Nazi Germany. Whether in their heart of hearts they were actually anti-Semitic, or whether they saw anti-Semitism as a tool that was begging to be used is utterly indifferent. The fact is that they did their best to taint the anti-Nazi and anti-Fascist cause as pro-Jewish. This interesting guilt by association meant, according to them, that whatever the US did that happened also to be good for the Jews, wasn’t only secretly manipulated y those very Jews (since it served their interests) but was also necessarily harmful to American interests. In short: if it may be good for the Jews, it must be bad for everybody else....
If not the intention (though I doubt it) of the paper, this is surely what makes it useful: Blame the Jews. First one does the best to depict the Iraqi campaign as a disaster (and it has truly been a disaster: for Saddam, the bath party, the Jihadists, much of the European Union, Russia, the Democrats, the mainstream press etc.), then insinuate that what made this disaster inevitable was Jewish influence or Israel’s interests. Next step consists in rewriting history: it is not Arab nationalism, constant and strident anti-American propaganda and alliances with the USSR that justified America’s alliance with Israel, but it is rather this alliance (the story of which then is very selectively told) that is to blame for the US/Islamic conflict....
....And there’s another thing that is sure: this administration’s opponents want it to retreat from Iraq and, maybe, even from Afghanistan, they want the Middle East either continue as it is or to grow worse. Maybe they would have been prepared to concede Bush a victory over Afghanistan, but, whatever happens in Iraq, if this administration doesn’t advance further, it will be forced slowly to retreat. The answer, thus, is not to hold on, but actually to do that the opponents oppose: solve once and for all the Iranian problem. Involuntarily they’re forcing the administration to make up its mind about Iran earlier rather than later. Trying to paint Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld as puppets of the Elders of Zion sounds like a desperate last resort.

Face of Evil

The jury also heard about American Airlines Flight 77. After hijacking the plane, the suicide pilots flew it at 530mph into the west side of the Pentagon, where 36,200 pounds of jet fuel blasted a billowing orange fireball upward.
Prosecutors showed grisly images of corpses in the blackened rubble.
One was burned into an office chair. Others were splayed on blue tarps, including one gruesomely charred lump that appeared to be a legless and headless victim. Another shot was of several victims melted together in a heap.

The cycle of violence between the Jews & the Egyptians continues with no end in sight in Egypt. After eight previous plagues that have destroyed the Egyptian infrastructure and disrupted the lives of ordinary Egyptian citizens, the Jews launched a new offensive this week in the form of the plague of darkness.
Western journalists were particularly enraged by this plague. "It is simply impossible to report when you can't see an inch in front of you,” complained a frustrated Andrea Koppel of CNN....
While the Jews contend that the plagues are justified given the harsh slavery imposed upon them by the Egyptians, Pharaoh, the Egyptian leader, rebuts this claim. "If only the plagues would let up, there would be no slavery. We just want to live plague-free. It is the right of every society." Saeb Erekat, an Egyptian spokesperson, complains that slavery is justifiable given the Jews' superior weaponry supplied to them by the superpower God.

Cynthia McKinney's Apologists
Even a racist will have apologists; in this case it is the angry woman of the New York Daily News, E.R. Shipp:
Cynthia McKinney may not be the best poster child for racial profiling. But in her anger at being accosted by Capitol police officers who did not recognize her as a member of the august House of Representatives, she is a black Everywoman.
Before her begrudging apology this week, McKinney, a Georgia Democrat, said she was a victim of bias. A cop didn't think that a black woman lacking her special lapel pin and ignoring entreaties to show ID had business walking around the metal detector and into the Capitol.
...McKinney's temperament is beside the point. Whether or not she overreacted, we must remember that profiling does still happen - far more than most admit.
....If she were less self-centered, Cynthia McKinney would focus attention on actual racial profiling rather than her hairdo and her 15 minutes of infamy.
Amazing - it seems as if Shipp is saying a black woman has every right to disobey protocol (by not wearing her ID) to ignore cops, and to react with violence once halted (after all, her temperament is "besides the point")
Shipp is trying to arouse ire over the issue of racial profiling, but this is the wrong case. By trying to claim McKinney is some type of bias victim in a situation where police practically begged her to stop before touching her elbow makes light of more serious bias cases that do arise. Thus does Shipp's instinctive anti - white racism actually hurt her own cause. McKinney is the Tawana Brawley of Congresswomen; that's why her colleagues are steering clear. Shipp should show the same discretion.
Furthermore, what type of column would Shipp be writing if, say, the unrecognized person in question was a white Republican, and he turned around and slugged a black cop? Does the same action change in legality based on the color of someone's skin? Or does Shipp believe that justice should not be color-blind? Bad call, E.R.; for you know not what colors justice may choose to see...
Take a lesson from Shipp's male counterpart in the News, Errol Louis, writing on the murder of a young white man in Harlem:
Nearly two weeks after Hehman, 20, was chased to his death, allegedly by a group of black kids - at least one of whom is said to have yelled "Get the white boy!" - no rush to the barricades seems likely. That inaction, in a city where so many ambitious politicians, clergy, business moguls and celebrities claim to be leaders, is both shameful and nauseating.
Thanks, Errol, for understanding that all forms of racism are dangerous, not just the ones that fit your agenda...

Sacre Bleu! France Surrenders, Again!
The French have now earned every barb thrown at them for the last 500 years regarding their ghastly lack of courage. Chirac's surrender to the mob in a case where he was morally and logically in the right is something all of the West's enemies will take note of:
FRENCH President Jacques Chirac has scrapped a youth job law after weeks of angry unrest, in a climbdown that undermined his prime minister and handed protesters victory. Mr Chirac's decision was a personal blow to Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, who had championed the First Job Contract (CPE) as a vital job-creating reform of the French economy but had seen his popularity slump as mass opposition grew.
The governmental U-turn over the CPE makes it unlikely France will attempt broader reform of its highly-regulated labour market before 2007, some economists said.
Mr de Villepin said in a television address that he regretted that the strikes and street protests showed the CPE could not be applied but gave no hints about his own political future, on the line over his handling of the dispute.
And what type of people was Chirac and de Villepin caving to? Gateway Pundit reports:
Besides the rioting and torchings, the students raided the Sorbonne and destroyed several of the ancient and rare books from the library.
At least six rooms were sacked, five offices of the National School of Chartres looted, two lecture-halls and all the cafeterias were destroyed, three other rooms were devastated, and forty rare books were mutilated or torched at the Sorbonne. (Via Galliawatch)
All of this, the riots, the strikes, the angst, over a law that gave employers the right to fire employees (imagine!) in the first two years on the job. After that, you're on easy street. Still, not good enough for the French, who rioted to keep a 10% unemployment rate (USA 4.7%, incidentally), to maintain a limp economy that grew a whopping .3% last year (USA over 4%), and to offer no hope of employment to the poor Muslims in the slums that they profess to care so much about (gee, wonder how that's gonna work out?).

Iranian Wargames Off The American Coast?
So they say Bush is a provocative warmonger? Well, how about the Iranians?
The head of the political party, the Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran [], Hasan Bayadi [who is Vice President of the Tehran City Council], has suggested to the Iranian Ministry of defense that it conduct war games near American border to show the strength of Iran's military
"we, recommend to the new Iranian defense minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar [] that he take the initiative and prepare a military exercise with nations in the Western Hemisphere, such as Cuba and Venezuela..."
Bayadi also mentioned the example set by The Prophet of Islam [Mohammad] during the battle of Tabouk [] in which Muhammad's army was preparing for a battle exercise with the Roman emperor.
Bayadi ends his suggestion by stating that such war games with our allies in the region, near the U.S. border, would pave the way for military cooperation with other governments in the region. They would also provide a platform for Iran's military to show the world, especially the Imperialists, how strong Iran really is. Finally would also be an opportunity and to Iran's great advantage for the Iranian armed services to test their powers against those of our allies overseas.
Sound like a sane, stable country...aw heck, let's give 'em some nukes!

Gaza: Al-Qaeda's Playground?
So Israel had to go and give them a state, even if it was by default. Well, I guess with all of those pesky Jews out of the Gaza Strip, it evolved into a Muslim Paradise by the Sea, right? Hmmm... from the TimesUK, we get a little vision what happens when a terrorist group like Hamas gets its own little fiefdom:
Palestinian security officials claim to have growing evidence that Osama Bin Laden’s terror network, which has hitherto shown little interest in Gaza and the West Bank, is recruiting among the angry young men who see little beyond a future of attacking Israel.
The organisation has been helped by the lawlessness that has engulfed the Palestinian territories since Hamas emerged as the surprise winner of parliamentary elections on January 25 and formed a government...
Analysts believe that, as its fortunes wane in Iraq, Al-Qaeda thinks some form of coup in Gaza or the West Bank could help it increase support across the Middle East, where the fate of the Palestinians is a symbol of the wider Arab cause.
....The lack of direction from the top was a cause of black humour at Gaza’s central police station last week, where they joked that the only word they had heard from Said al-Siyam, the new interior minister, was that they should grow beards
It is almost impossible to underestimate the extent of the lawlessness that now reigns...
So Hamas proves to be incapable of anything besides the wanton slaughter of innocents. Presto! In steps al-Qaeda, who besides being skilled in slaughtering civilians, has some experience (see: Afghanistan; Taliban control of ) in keeping a Muslim nation's subjects (not citizens) viciously in line as well.
No need for a coup...just think of what a great team they'll make! When do you think the EU will start sending financial aid to the new "Palestinian Coalition Government" ?

Attack in Venezuela
The story of the U.S. Ambassador William Brownfield's convoy being attacked in Venezuela broke a few days ago -
The ambassador's convoy was pelted with eggs, onions and tomatoes and chased by motorbikes for some miles by supporters of President Hugo Chavez
- but thanks to Fausta, we finally find out what the "root cause" was behind this assault:
The Beeb showed US Ambassador William Brownfield handing out baseball equipment to some kids in a poor neighborhood and being confronted by a man who told him all Americans should leave Venezuela.
Brownfield stated that he "accepts the right to protest and to assemble, and to demonstrate, and of freedom of expression" while rejecting violence. " I reject the right of a group telling me with whom to get together to converse", explained, and added that his job is "to try to project a positive image of the country and people I represent"

Tracked down to his remote village in south-eastern Afghanistan, Naqibullah has memories of Guantanamo that are almost identical to Asadullah's. Prison life was good, he said shyly, nervous to be receiving a foreigner to his family's mud-fortress home.
The food in the camp was delicious, the teaching was excellent, and his warders were kind. " Americans are good people, they were always friendly, I don't have anything against them," he said. " If my father didn't need me, I would want to live in America."
Asadullah is even more sure of this. "Americans are great people, better than anyone else," ... If I could be anywhere, I would be in America. I would like to be a doctor, an engineer- or an American soldier."

Free Speech in South Park
Will it take two drug-crazed Hollywood cartoonists to finally teach America to fight our coming dhimmitude? From this past week's episode:
In the South Park episode, Fox's animated sitcom The Family Guy is planning to air an episode where the Prophet Mohammed makes a cameo appearance. Family Guy is an animated sitcom, meaning a Prophet appearance would be -gasp! You guessed it- a Mohammed cartoon. The townsfolk of South Park barricade themselves into the village community center, fearing an American repeat of the violent Muslim response to the Danish cartoons. Only after a news report airs the following morning that Fox made a last minute decision to censor Mohammed do they emerge from their makeshift fortifications....
Here is the "Family Guy" scene, via Newsbusters:
Lois: But, Peter, I don't want to cook dinner for you ex-girlfriend.
Peter: Well, maybe we can just have tea.

Not to mention "Team America", which is populated by Islamist terrorists (OK, Islamic puppet terrorists, but still...) muttering 'Muhammed, Muhammed, jihad, durka dukra jihad Muhammed" under their breaths for a full ninety minutes.
The Catholics and Jews didn't riot over these earlier South Park episodes; and no Muslims protested over 'Team America", although maybe that's because they didn't know yet that they were supposed to be offended...

Statistics do not support the belief. Hispanics, who are about 14 percent of the population, accounted for about 11 percent of the military deaths in Iraq through Dec. 3, 2005. About 12.5 percent of the military dead in Vietnam were African-Americans, who made up about 13.5 percent of the general population during the war years.”
A little light, considering the inflammatory story that was being "corrected" - here's part of what Lizette Alvarez wrote back on February 9th:
Critics also say that Latinos often wind up as cannon fodder on the casualty-prone front lines. African-Americans saw the same thing happen during the 1970's and 1980's, an accusation that still reverberates. Hispanics make up only 4.7 percent of the military's officer corps.”
Maybe, instead of this showing up in the discreet "For The Record" column, it should have been placed closer to page one?

After the media screamed for an investigation on who leaked the name of lyin' Joe's wife (Plame), they were dumbfounded when the person who spent the most time in the hoosegow was Times reporter Judith Miller. And all to catch a man named Scooter Libby....
Anyway, the Democrats, the media, and the lunatic Left still clutch onto Joe they way a dying man clutches his cross; hoping against hope that they may yet be saved by their talisman. So that's why you won't hear any of the insanity that has come out of lyin' Joe's mouth lately in the MSM; but I can give it to you here, via The New Editor - from a speech he recently gave at Florida State University:

Utterly, Amazingly Clueless...
Raging liberal Richard Cohen shows his inability to learn basic lessons (an infirmity that seems to have stricken the entire Democratic party) in his short column in today's Washington Post. He pleads that the life of Zacarias Moussaoui be spared, but only to set some type of example:
...while the American sense of justice might be satisfied, that is not how many other people will see it. Instead, they might marvel at how much effort had gone into the killing of a single man...The process is almost a parody of justice -- a laborious procedure to carry out what most of us recognize is nothing more than revenge. Call it justice if you will, we all know what it really is.
Cohen is just another self-declared "multiculturalist" who claims the power to see the world through the eyes of others; too bad he can only view it through a distorted liberal prism. Note his mocking of our justice system - the "effort" he sneers at is nothing more than the labour-intensive process of making sure, to the best of our abilities, innocent men are not convicted. Revenge, he calls it? Sometimes we can never exact true justice; the dead of 9/11 cannot be brought back to life. So punishment will be handed out. But Cohen seems to claim that punishment of a terrorist equals revenge. Is he saying that we offer softer justice to those whom vow our destruction? His fear of creating martyrs is laughable; how many candle-holding Iraqis do you see at the spider-hole?
Of course, I would not seek his death in any case. I am opposed to capital punishment -- not for Moussaoui's sake or for another guy's, but for our own. The taking of life is something we should not permit government to do. In the first place, life is inviolate. Second, governments have abused this power in the past and will do so in the future. It is no accident that Europe bans the death penalty. Under Hitler, Stalin and others, Europeans learned what government can do.
Life is inviolate, except when it comes to sucking the brains out of a fetus, right? And referrring to Europe as a basis for morality is laughable. Look at the current state of that miserable continent; why would we want to emulate anything they do? But all liberals are Euro-philes; the thought of socialistic economies, bureaucratic leadership, and endless regulations gives them a thrill that is almost sexual in nature. But they can't see the forest for the trees - France burns, Denmarks cringes, Spain surrenders, Britain slips into a Orwellian hell...
Societies have their own, peculiar, reasons for taking life. Afghanistan was about to execute a man for converting from Islam to Christianity. To many Afghans, this seemed inarguably to be the right thing to do. In Iraq, Awad Haman Bander, a former judge under Saddam Hussein, confessed to sentencing 148 Shiites to death at one time. It was all legal, he said, with the proper papers being signed and confessions in order.
So the United States is on par, morally, with Islamists and Saddamites. In between Cohen's lines, Americans are on par with fundamentalist Islamists and murderous dictators. By equvilating us with these types of animals, he brings us down to their level, and raises our enemies to a higher plane. Ladies and Gentlemen - Mr. Richard Cohen - a progressive, a lover of humanity!

Now here is the final display of this man's, and his political philosophy's, utter and complete failing:

This is the policy followed by Bill Clinton. He tried to show the world he would respond to terrorism with "laborous justice", in the hopes that the world would see our system as peaceful; and would then cease attacking us, and emulate us instead.
He assumed the rest of the world would restrain its blood thirst.
He was wrong - and thousands upon thousands have paid with their lives for his policy blunders.
Cohen wants us to repeat these mistakes - is he honestly unable to see that they have failed in the past, or does he loathe his nation so much that he urges the path of failure with malicious intent? Either way he proposes the path that has led us to destruction oh-so-recently, with no reflection on its previous failures.
He ends with a lie, equating Moussaoui's execution with a bin Ladin victory. Simply untrue, the same way all liberals have told us that killing terrorists will only create new ones. Yeah, and that why under Bush's policies, we have been attacked how many times?

...while the American sense of justice might be satisfied, that is not how many other people will see it. Instead, they might marvel at how much effort had gone into the killing of a single man...The process is almost a parody of justice -- a laborious procedure to carry out what most of us recognize is nothing more than revenge. Call it justice if you will, we all know what it really is.
Cohen is just another self-declared "multiculturalist" who claims the power to see the world through the eyes of others; too bad he can only view it through a distorted liberal prism. Note his mocking of our justice system - the "effort" he sneers at is nothing more than the labour-intensive process of making sure, to the best of our abilities, innocent men are not convicted. Revenge, he calls it? Sometimes we can never exact true justice; the dead of 9/11 cannot be brought back to life. So punishment will be handed out. But Cohen seems to claim that punishment of a terrorist equals revenge. Is he saying that we offer softer justice to those whom vow our destruction? His fear of creating martyrs is laughable; how many candle-holding Iraqis do you see at the spider-hole?
Of course, I would not seek his death in any case. I am opposed to capital punishment -- not for Moussaoui's sake or for another guy's, but for our own. The taking of life is something we should not permit government to do. In the first place, life is inviolate. Second, governments have abused this power in the past and will do so in the future. It is no accident that Europe bans the death penalty. Under Hitler, Stalin and others, Europeans learned what government can do.
Life is inviolate, except when it comes to sucking the brains out of a fetus, right? And referrring to Europe as a basis for morality is laughable. Look at the current state of that miserable continent; why would we want to emulate anything they do? But all liberals are Euro-philes; the thought of socialistic economies, bureaucratic leadership, and endless regulations gives them a thrill that is almost sexual in nature. But they can't see the forest for the trees - France burns, Denmarks cringes, Spain surrenders, Britain slips into a Orwellian hell...
Societies have their own, peculiar, reasons for taking life. Afghanistan was about to execute a man for converting from Islam to Christianity. To many Afghans, this seemed inarguably to be the right thing to do. In Iraq, Awad Haman Bander, a former judge under Saddam Hussein, confessed to sentencing 148 Shiites to death at one time. It was all legal, he said, with the proper papers being signed and confessions in order.
So the United States is on par, morally, with Islamists and Saddamites. In between Cohen's lines, Americans are on par with fundamentalist Islamists and murderous dictators. By equvilating us with these types of animals, he brings us down to their level, and raises our enemies to a higher plane. Ladies and Gentlemen - Mr. Richard Cohen - a progressive, a lover of humanity!

It is naive, I know, but it would be wonderful if the United States showed that as a matter of principle, it does not take a life. It is naive because other governments would not follow -- not right away, anyway. This is the policy followed by Bill Clinton. He tried to show the world he would respond to terrorism with "laborous justice", in the hopes that the world would see our system as peaceful; and would then cease attacking us, and emulate us instead.
He assumed the rest of the world would restrain its blood thirst.
He was wrong - and thousands upon thousands have paid with their lives for his policy blunders.
Cohen wants us to repeat these mistakes - is he honestly unable to see that they have failed in the past, or does he loathe his nation so much that he urges the path of failure with malicious intent? Either way he proposes the path that has led us to destruction oh-so-recently, with no reflection on its previous failures.
He ends with a lie, equating Moussaoui's execution with a bin Ladin victory. Simply untrue, the same way all liberals have told us that killing terrorists will only create new ones. Yeah, and that why under Bush's policies, we have been attacked how many times?

NBC Hires Anti-War Anchor
Is NBC now run by Michael Moore and Jimmy Carter? The peacock network is actively taking a hard-left appoach to their newsgathering operation...from Drudge, we learn a bit about Meredith Vieira, who will be taking over Katie's spot on the Today Show:
Meredith Vieira, the replacement for Katie Couric as co-host of NBC's Today this fall...marched in an anti-Iraq war protest back in August of 2004.
On the Monday, August 30, 2004 edition of the ABC daytime show she quad-hosts, The View, the former CBS 60 Minutes reporter told viewers that she attended the anti-Bush protest held in New York City on the Sunday before the Republican convention opened...
Earlier in 2004, she declared of the Iraq war: "Everything's been built on lies. Everything! I mean the entire pre-text for war." And, with war impending in March of 2003, Vieira argued that anti-war protests "should be consistent and repeated every day, I believe."
So much for media impartiality - certainly Vieira is within her rights to march in any protest she wants, but it is questionable why NBC would put someone who has taken hard postions on some of the key issues of the day into an AM anchor spot. Unless, of course, those are the positions that NBC intends to drill into its viewing audience...
Apparently, this is a continuing effort to alienate middle America. It's fairly well known by now that Dateline is sending Muslim ringers into NASCAR races to try to provoke some outrage from the "rednecks" (as NBC sees it), to then broadcast as proof of Red America's racist tendencies. NASCAR seems pretty irked, and I don't think these are the right guys to hack off...Michelle Malkin reports:
I spoke this afternoon with Ramsey Poston, managing director of corporate communications at NASCAR. He's on his way down to Texas for the NASCAR race this weekend, and he responded to NBC Dateline's undercover Muslim stings, which I first reported on yesterday morning.
"This is outrageous for a news organization with the reputation of NBC to stoop to the level of attempting to create news instead of reporting it. Any legitimate journalist should be ashamed."
Poston told me NASCAR contacted NBC, which confirmed they are doing the story (also reported here yesterday).
"It's hard to even call it journalism," Poston told me. I asked him why he thought NBC was targeting NASCAR fans for the racism sting. Poston vigorously defended the NASCAR fan base as "diverse, from every background in America."
Poston expressed dismay at NBC's "attempt to provoke a reaction from our fans" and said his organization was "confident they would not fall for it."
The mainstream media can't ignore NBC's news-staging anymore. The Associated Press follows the story here:

The Democrats continue to circle the wagons around their favorite racist, Cynthia McKinney. Still trapped in the sixties, believing cops are pigs and that if we just gave peace a chance, man, war would be over, the Democrats show us their true colors, and agenda.
We’ll let the borders become floodgates (because all immigrants are good people and no terrorists would ever try to enter and of course all the Mexicans want is to be honest hardworking Americans and would never try to impose their values on us and if we just raise taxes a little bit more we can afford to pay for all of their needs),we’ll bring all of our soldiers home (because they are "broken down", according to John Murtha, and because they have "re-opened Abu Ghraib under new management" according to Ted Kennedy, or because the are similar to Nazis, according to Dick Durbin, and because they are the scourge of the Iraqi people, according to John Kerry), and we’ll demonize the police, because, after all, they deserve the physical abuse launched at them by the likes of Cynthia McKinney, since they are the racists, not us liberals!

But this is what the Democrat’s world would look like – in a society where everyone is a victim, the simple act of enforcing the law (or the peace, or acting in self-defense, as an individual or a nation) becomes an act of aggression against said victim (after all, the thief is only stealing because he had a bad childhood; so by arresting him, you are further victimizing him!). Therefore the Islamic terrorists, the illegal immigrants, and even Congresswomen whom assault police officers are not perpetrators, simply more innocents victimized by society, by the law, by our imperialistic borders…
Sick philosophy, but that’s liberalism for you. Michelle Malkin’s site points out that the Dems, despite their protestations about being painted as “weak”, find themselves looking…weak:
McKinney has been aggressively publicizing the incident, calling press conferences on each of the past two business days and even attracting a mention on the front page of The New York Times, something that the dozens of House and Senate Democrats combined couldn’t match when they unveiled their homeland-security plan last week.
Now, with McKinney facing a possible arrest warrant, the media frenzy is set only to escalate. The U.S. Capitol Police referred the issue to the U.S. District Attorney’s office for prosecution yesterday.
All of the attention has some Democrats concerned that McKinney is drawing the limelight away from their policy goals and Republicans’ ethical missteps to focus on a momentary, disputed encounter in a Capitol Hill hallway.
“There’s been a lot of eye-rolling,” said an aide to a moderate Democrat who spoke on condition of anonymity. “The national attention it’s been getting has been unfortunate. It’s becoming a distraction.”
A Democratic strategist concurred.
“This isn’t the view of Democrats that we want to project in the tough races, one of victims and race-baiting,” the strategist said.

Republicans have already announced plans to introduce a bill defending the 1,700-member Capitol Hill police force — reinforcing the Donkey Party's haplessness on public safety and national security issues.

French-Kissing Hamas

A Hamas official confirmed on Monday that France held secret talks with its representatives on behalf of the European Union, a break in the policy of isolating the new Palestinian government.
Lousy unilateralist cowboys!
The Palestinian source further claimed that France was attempting to improve relations between the European Community and the group that Israel had urged countries to reject
Reportedly, the EU talks have been sponsored by France, while India has already held official meetings with senior Hamas officials and Russia held consultations with the organization even prior to the Palestinian parliamentary elections, publicizing the talks after Hamas' landslide victory.
Well, really, no surprise here. Watch for the announcement of additional funding of the Hamas government shortly. After all, the Europeans spent the better part of the last century attempting to annihilate the Jews; having failed, it seems like a logical step to simply outsource this job to Hamas! After all, they have the will, the moral high ground (supplied by Western liberals and the United Nations), and they are located right next to the world's largest population of this ancient race -all they need is the financing!
Which Europe, led by France, will be more than happy to provide...

The Berlin Intifada
Is Europe falling faster than we could of expected? Via Little Green Footballs, we read about a school overtaken by Muslim youth, where teachers cower in fear, schoolkids pay protection, and police are assasinated:
BERLIN - Violence at a Berlin school dominated by Arab and Turkish youths and the nearby slaying of police officer, shot in the head while trying to arrest muggers, has fuelled alarm that troubled parts of the German capital are lurching out of control...
...teachers had lost all authority and were now so afraid that they only entered classrooms with a mobile phone so they could call for help in an emergency.
When reporters went to school on Thursday they were pelted with paving stones by masked youths from the schoolyard as the district’s mayor stood helplessly at the entrance of the building...
...A problem in German schools is that especially Arab male students often refuse to respect the authority of women teachers, education sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur....
"...the boys are often being raised in a home environment which glorifies violence”...
“The German (students) brown nose us, pay for things for us and stuff like that, so that we don’t smash in their faces,” said a foreign student from the school as quoted by the Berliner Kurier

The Officer's Club uses the release of hostage Jill Carrol as a window into the current mindset of the Iraqi insurgents; and provides excellent analysis. Some conclusions, among many:
They are cogniscent of our own internal struggle over the occupation. Carroll's forced propaganda statement echoed some of the most popular phrases used by the global anti-war movement, using "illegal occupation," "unjust war," and the old "Iraqi terrorists are freedom fighters" line, just to name a few...
They consider President Bush's leadership a grave threat. Not only was President Bush brought up in the Carroll interview, he got his own question. Carroll's kidnapper prompted her: "Do you have a message for Mr. Bush," to which she replied with the typical occupation, quagmire, unjust war talking points. The question was a political stab at the President, who is the first President to take fighting radical Islam with the appropriate level of seriousness.
I find the final conclusion disturbing; and I hope against hope that time proves it wrong:
Jill Carroll will not be the last Westerner to be kidnapped in Iraq, but she may be the last one released. Kidnapping is the only real way the insurgents can get airtime these days, which is why Jihadi propaganda comes with kneeling captives at their feet. Releasing Carroll was an experiment, one that failed from the insurgency's point of view. Carroll was released and immediately disavowed statements she made in captivity. The insurgents were exposed as a cheap propagandists, and their message was blurred in the celebration surrounding Carroll's return home. Killing a hostage makes a far more drastic statement than releasing one does, which is precisely why we're unlikely to see any more hostages released.
And this is the best al-Qaeda's Iraq division can do. More like a bunch of ragtag misfits than the feared guerrilla army that the Democrats make them out to be (or the New York Times shills for - this piece of enemy propoganda went uncorrected save for a paragraph 17 mention in an unrelated story).
If the media, and the Democrats, will let us, the Iraqi war can be over in short order, with less ccivilian casualities and fewer hostages turning up dead. If they would only get out of our way...

Global Cooling is Upon Us!
I remember this scare from when I was a kid; I'm glad somebody else (in this case George Will, or his research staff) had the time and energy to remind us of the hysteria foisted upon us by the media just over a quarter century ago...does this sound vaguely familiar?
Science magazine (Dec. 10, 1976) warned of "extensive Northern Hemisphere glaciation." Science Digest (February 1973) reported that "the world's climatologists are agreed" that we must "prepare for the next ice age." The Christian Science Monitor ("Warning: Earth's Climate is Changing Faster Than Even Experts Expect," Aug. 27, 1974) reported that glaciers "have begun to advance," "growing seasons in England and Scandinavia are getting shorter" and "the North Atlantic is cooling down about as fast as an ocean can cool." Newsweek agreed ("The Cooling World," April 28, 1975) that meteorologists "are almost unanimous" that catastrophic famines might result from the global cooling that the New York Times (Sept. 14, 1975) said "may mark the return to another ice age." I guess it is so weird to see anything positive in the media about Bush or his administration, I am always taken aback on those rare occasions when it does pop up...here's a piece in the Telegraph UK on Condoleezza Rice's trip to Great Britain. Seems they are all agape at our Secretary of State, which is no surprise...how many blacks occupy a postition this high in any of our favorite liberal, multicultural, PC European nations? None, you say? But their social system is so superior to ours - I mean, they tell us that all the time!
They can't be wrong...can they?

Iran's threat to America
The Washington Post reports this morning that if atttacked by American forces seeking to destroy their nuclear capabilities, Iran will launch a co-ordinated terror counterattack against civilian targets worldwide:
U.S. intelligence and terrorism experts say they believe Iran would respond to U.S. military strikes on its nuclear sites by deploying its intelligence operatives and Hezbollah teams to carry out terrorist attacks worldwide.
Iran would mount attacks against U.S. targets inside Iraq, where Iranian intelligence agents are already plentiful, predicted these experts. There is also a growing consensus that Iran's agents would target civilians in the United States, Europe and elsewhere, they said.
I don't doubt the truth of this for a minute. Iran's fanatical regime has been complicit in the slaughtering of civilians, mostly (but not only) Israelis, for decades. They have not allowed Hezbollah to strike American targets in the past few years as they have learned the lesson of 9/11 (yes, Americans will fight back), but that does not mean they do not retain the capability to strike us in a number of places.
But that is to be understood as the price of war - if we try to eliminate Iran's war machine, and in doing so most likely destroy their Islamist government, we can expect them to fight for survival using every dark tool in their arsenal. We have to be prepared, and to have the stomach for this, before we move on Iran. Otherwise, the media will be calling it "another Vietnam" and demanding our surrender even before the mullahs do.
And I wonder if the Post article today is not meant in some way to influence public opinion on this matter; reflexivley anti-war, even against a terror-supporting, budding nuclear dictatorship like Iran, the media might be trying to throw a scare into us. Note the follwing unsupported paragraph:
Because Iran's nuclear facilities are scattered around the country, some military specialists doubt a strike could effectively end the program and would require hundreds of strikes beforehand to disable Iran's vast air defenses. They say airstrikes would most likely inflame the Muslim world, alienate reformers within Iran and could serve to unite Hezbollah and al-Qaeda, which have only limited contact currently.
Which specialists are these and what are their qualifications? We don't know, because the Post doesn't feel the need to inform us. But Iran does not have "vast air defenses"; their air force is falling apart by their own admission due to lack of spare parts, and while they may have plenty of anti-aircraft batteries, it is of limited use against guided missles and Stealth bombers.
And I for one have no fear about "inflaming the Muslim world"; this is a canard again used by unnamed "experts" to try to frighten us into submission by the thought of glowering faces shouting angry slogans as they engage in wanton destruction. It should not scare us off from what may need to be done to save the world from a second holocaust.
This is a war that has already begun, well before 9/11; it is too late for threats of retaliation and dark warnings of sinister alliances to deter us from fighting to save what remains of the values of Western Civilization.

Democrats Protect Racist Cynthia McKinney
The Democrats pulled every string to make sure Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney would get away with cold-clocking a police officer...and this is the party who wants us to trust them with our national security? From The Corner:
The incident in which Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney struck a Capitol police officer has gone from bad to worse.
In a story that will air on WSBTV this evening, reporter Scott MacFarlane reveals that the ranking Democrat on the House Administration Committee (which has oversight responsibility of the Sergeant at Arms office) personally intervened with the House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the Congresswoman wasn't arrested." (www.wsbtv.com)
The men and women of the Capitol police deserve our respect and gratitude - not physical abuse.
Instead of condemning this however, the Democratic Leader of the House, Nancy Pelosi, said "I would not make a big deal of this," (press conference, 3/30/06) - and the ranking member of the House Administration Committee personally intervened to ensure justice was delayed.
A police officer is assaulted, and the Democratic House Leadership personally steps in to prevent the perp from undergoing due process because she's a...Democrat.
Had this been a Republican, of course, House Congressional Hearing Subcommittees would already be in session...

Brigitte Gabriel, a Lebanese Christian whom grew up surrounded by Muslims, gave quite a little speech at the Intelligence Summit in Washington DC back in Febuary. We hear our politically correct betters lecture us constantly on how we need to understand the Islamists, to listen to them, and to ask ourselves what we have done to offend them. Well, Brigitte understands them pretty well, based on her vantage point, so let's give her a listen:
I was ten years old when my home exploded around me, burying me under the rubble and leaving me to drink my blood to survive, as the perpetrators shouted “Allah Akbar!” My only crime was that I was a Christian living in a Christian town....
By the age of 20, I had buried most of my friends--killed by Muslims. We were not Americans living in New York, or Britons in London. We were Arab Christians living in Lebanon.
As a victim of Islamic terror, I was amazed when I saw Americans waking up on September 12, 2001, and asking themselves "Why do they hate us?" The psychoanalyst experts were coming up with all sort of excuses as to what did we do to offend the Muslim World. But if America and the West were paying attention to the Middle East they would not have had to ask the question. Simply put, they hate us because we are defined in their eyes by one simple word: "infidels"
America and the West are doomed to failure in this war unless they stand up and identify the real enemy: Islam. You hear about Wahabbi and Salafi Islam as the only extreme form of Islam. All the other Muslims, supposedly, are wonderful moderates. Closer to the truth are the pictures of the irrational eruption of violence in reaction to the cartoons of Mohammed printed by a Danish newspaper....
....News pictures and video of these events represent a canvas of hate decorated by different nationalities who share one common ideology of hate, bigotry and intolerance derived from one source: authentic Islam.

Immigration Reform, Mexican-Style
This dates back to July of 2005, but it is both relevant and telling - Jorge Castaneda, the Mexican foreign minister, testified before Congress on immigration reform. And he let it be know that it will be done Mexico's way, or the U.S. will suffer the consequences:
"Unless and until both governments bite the bullet and reach an understanding on an all-encompassing joint border security initiative, with adequate funding and infrastructure, the violence and criminal activity at the border will remain unabated," he told the senators.
Unilateral measures relating to immigration that are adopted by the U.S. without consultation and agreement with Mexico are doomed to fail, he said.
"If there is no cooperation from the source country on either a guest worker program, or an earned regularization scheme, I cannot see how the U.S. on its own will be able to deal with the enormous operational complexities involved."
Seems like some implied threats there, no? So unless we do it Vincente Fox's way (which, if you read the transcript, involves legalizing all illegals currently in the U.S., authorizing hundreds of thousands of new visas yearly, and untold million {possibly billions} in American aid to protect the border and bring up Mexico's standard of living), the Mexican government has no intention of stopping the flow of illegal immigration; in fact, it may very likely encourage it.
Doesn't sound like a multilateral border partner to me - better start laying the foundation for that wall...

Charlie Sheen - A Conspiracy To Make Him Look Stupid?
By now we are all aware that Charlie Sheen, after careful examination and thoughtful analysis of the archive footage, has declared that the attacks on 9/11 were a pre-planned part of a grand conspiracy played upon a hapless American population...after all, it says so on the internet!
But I bet you didn't know that Charlie has been closely studying, well, various interesting kinds of videos for years, and running to the authorities with proof of all types of henious crimes! Let's call the following caper "Charlie and the Samuri's Sword" (cue Scooby-Doo music!):
Early in 1991, a film of Asian origin rumored to contain actual snuff footage came into the possession of actor Charlie Sheen. Sheen turned it over to the FBI, quite convinced he'd stumbled onto the real thing, and heartily sickened by what he'd seen.
The film in question was Flower of Flesh and Blood, part of a series of films collectively known as "Guinea Pig." Some of the "Guinea Pig" films have at least temporarily fooled the authorities, fueling news stories about the unearthing of snuff films. It's no wonder either; the special effects are very cleverly executed. Flower of Flesh and Blood is the episode which stirs much of the controversy. It features a samurai torturing, then dismembering a captive girl until she eventually expires in front of the cameras.
It wasn't real. According to The San Francisco Chronicle:
"The FBI confiscated Sheen's tape and proceeded to investigate all involved, including Charles Balun, an early distributor of the film. Balun fiercely asserted that the film was a hoax and was merely a series of startling special effects. Propitiously, the Japanese took this time to release 'Guinea Pig Two: The Making of Guinea Pig One,' revealing the technical sleight of hand in all its bone-cracking glory. After viewing this film, the FBI backed off and dropped the investigation."
In a stunning display of bad taste, this film was shown on San Francisco's public access channel in October 1996. [but still no cartoon Muhammeds! - ed.]

Immigration March - What the Media Won't Show You
The media cannot/will not show you the true face of this week's march in favor of letting illegal immigrants overrun the country, but I can:
Hmmm, are these the people that we are offering "amnesty" to; the ones we want to put on a "citizen" track? We'll wake up in 2015 with the same problem that Europe has now - a core population that hates their new country and wants to impose their value system upon it. The MSM, and politicians of both parties, are so afraid of being called a racist by the PC left they deny reality, and the broad wishes of the American people, and are prepared to open the floodgates.
Be aware that I do not oppose immigration at all, in fact, it is part of the lifeblood of any healthy country. But it must be done legally, and in a controlled fashion, especially during wartime - the idea that the borders should remain open and anyone who happens to cross has automatically earned rights and privileges is absolutely insane. And incidentally, if we are willing to offer amnesty and turn a blind eye towards illegal entry into the country, what the hell is the incentive for anyone to follow the current immigration laws now in place?
Gateway Pundit has a perfect example of how legal residents are now being punished in favor of illegal aliens, right here in my home state of New Jersey (which is slowly, but surely, being turned into a liberal madhouse). He refers to -
a rally in front of the New Jersey Statehouse in Trenton yesterday in support of proposed state and federal legislation that would allow some immigrant children without legal U.S. residency to attend state colleges and universities at in-state tuition rates. (AP)
The legislation, known as The DREAM Act is:
The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act was introduced in 2002 to help students who are living in the United States illegally but have graduated from high school and want to attend college. The proposal would grant temporary status to qualified immigrants (and state funding), which could eventually lead to lawful permanent residence and citizenship
And of course, I am sure all of the children of law-abiding, tax-paying, resident Americans who are having trouble affording college will be taken care of as well, correct? What? Didn't see that proposal in the DREAM ACT? Yea, neither did I. See what is going on here? The honest being punished in favor of the dishonest. Nice morality these liberals are trying to impose upon us...
