Michelle Obama: Honest About Health Care, Once...

In May of 2008, Michelle Obama gave a speech about health care reform. She was honest then, more honest than her husband ever was during the process - about the cost, about the sacrifice, about the need to turn America into a Socialist nation in order to achieve her, and her husband's, aims:

"As a society...we cannot tolerate this"

"It's going to cost us something...In order for all of us to get a little bit more...a whole bunch of us are going to have to give up a little something that we have"

(Well, many of us are giving up a lot, and getting nothing in return, unless "a little bit more" refers to the amount of taxes we will have to pay... )

"This is gonna cost us billions"

(Ah, trillions, but at least Michelle is honest about it costing something)

"What does it mean to live in a society...what does it mean to be an American? What kind of sacrifice do we all have to make? What are we willing to sacrifice, to make sure we have the resources to do it?

"As Barack says...We all have the work to do...it's about changing our mindset "

Again: Ugly, but honest. We are our brother's keeper, and if we work our whole lives, and he never lifts a finger, under the rule of Obama they are as much entitled to our riches as we are. We must change our mindsets and accept socialism, and be prepared to give up all that we have so that the moral goal of wealth redistribution is achieved.

Interesting - Michelle knows, but her husband will not admit, that we have to give up something in order to maintain socialized medicine, as the resources simply are not there. What's it going to be? Social Security? Medicare? Our world-class military? Somethings gotta give, but Barack can't admit it, and he's not telling us what he's gonna do...

Oh yeah. Note the one word played over and over: Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. Remember what Ayn Rand said about sacrifice?

A sacrifice is the surrender of a value. Full sacrifice is full surrender of all values....

It stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there’s someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice, speaks of slaves and masters. And intends to be the master.

Wish we could have gotten this video out before health care was stolen from us...not that, in a non-representative government, it would have made much difference anyway...
