The Kennedys are a Threat to us All!

Bad enough that fat 'ol Teddy Kennedy spends his time demeaning American serviceman and blocking alternative energy sources, but now his son is busted for weaving around Washington in a drunken stupor:

Rep. Patrick Kennedy crashed his car near the Capitol early Thursday, and a police official said he appeared intoxicated. Kennedy said he had had no alcohol before the accident.

Kennedy appeared to be intoxicated when he crashed his car into a barrier on Capitol Hill early Thursday morning, said Louis P. Cannon, president of the Washington chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Cannon, who was not there, said the officers involved in the accident were instructed by an official “above the rank of patrolman” to take Kennedy home.

A letter written by a Capitol Police officer to Acting Chief Christopher McGaffin said Kennedy appeared to be staggering when he left the vehicle after the crash about 3 a.m. The letter was first reported by Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper.
Kennedy said he was late for a vote, officer Greg Baird said in the letter to McGaffin. Baird is acting chairman of the Capitol Hill chapter of the FOP police union. The last vote of the night had occurred almost six hours earlier.

Baird wrote McGaffin that two sergeants who responded to the accident conferred with the watch commander and were ordered to leave the scene.

He said that after the officers left, Capitol Police officials gave Kennedy a ride home.
Kennedy spent time at a drug rehabilitation clinic before he went to Providence College...

Certainly sounds like he was drunk; of course, Kennedy is apparently calling the police officers who came to his accident scene liars...is he taking notes from fellow police-hating Democrat Cynthia McKinney? Seems as if a bit of a cover-up was in the making; just like old times for the K-Clan! Oh, those wacky Kennedys will kill us all someday...!

Of course, the headline reads "Patrick Kennedy in Accident", with no mention made in the lead about his bizarre behavior as reported by police. Let's look at another story on the wire as a comparison:

Rumsfeld Heckled by Former CIA Analyst

"Why did you lie to get us into a war that caused these kind of casualties and was not necessary?" asked Ray McGovern, the former analyst, during a question-and-answer session.
"I did not lie," shot back Rumsfeld, who waved off security guards ready to remove McGovern from the hall at the Southern Center for International Studies....

Not one word about the impropriatey of a former CIA officer screaming like a nut at the Secretary of Defense? No mention about how this is part of a pattern of bizarre behavior ( leaker Mary McCarthy, B-list celebrity Valerie Plame, and now McGovern) by agents past and present of what is supposed to be the world's top-notch intelligence service?
Now, if it was a story about a Republican in a scandal, we would have gotten a long list of every Republican from Nixon to DeLay who has been involved in something tawdry. But psycho ex-CIA (mostly Democrat appointed) busting out of the closet everywhere? No, it is an anti-war story about Rumsfeld being heckled! Kennedy drunk? No, let's ignore the numerous police reports and lead with the Congressman's pre-released statement!

I don't know who makes me sicker - the substance-addicted Kennedys or their pathetic enablers in the media...

Is this ...an anti-war demonstrator at the Rumsfeld speech, a former CIA analyst, an escaped mental patient, or all of the above?
