Eric Cantor, after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, made the following statement:
Eric stressed that the new Republican majority will serve as a check on the Administration and what has been, up until this point, one party rule in Washington. He made clear that the Republican majority understands the special relationship between Israel and the United States, and that the security of each nation is reliant upon the other.
The liberal "thinkers" at Think Progress interpreted this fairly innocuous statement of support for Israel as follows:
Cantor’s office stated that the presumptive Majority Leader would fight the Obama administration on behalf of Israel...
Which leads me to believe that Think Progress' thought process hasn't moved much past that of the editors of the Third Reich's notorious Der Stürmer...and neither has the one-man hate machine known as Glenn Greenwald, who accuses Cantor of treason:
...Cantor wants American citizens to sacrifice in the extreme, to lose all sorts of benefits and security in the name of austerity, but wants to shield Israel -- with a higher standard of living -- from those cuts. Put another way, Americans should give up Social Security and Medicare benefits so that they can continue to transfer billions of dollars every year to Israel, a foreign country which offers far more of a safety net to its own citizens. But don't you dare accuse Eric Cantor of haboring allegiance to Israel and subordinating U.S. interests to this foreign country. That would be extremely wrong of you to insinuate.
It's such a distasteful mix of liberal anti-semitism, that perhaps only the people who enjoy this stew of shit can actually swallow it. It's really just a repetition of an ancient slur against the Jews: Their loyalty is first to their race and to Israel, and they will sacrifice your money, your safety, and your nation to put their needs first. It was quite aptly used by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis to demonize the Jews and build up the required hatred to carry out the Holocaust. How far removed is this 1939 Julius Streicher editorial in Der Stürmer from Glenn Greenwald's screed in Salon?
The Jews came to Europe with the concealed aim of sooner or later destroying the peoples living there....In other nations, Jewry rules from behind the mask of democracy. What one calls democracy today is concealed Jewish domination. Answer: It's not removed at all, it is the same exact sentiment. Greenwald and Think Progess simply refrain from using the phrase "Jews", and simply target Israel, home of the Jews, and Eric Cantor, a leading Jew in America's democracy. Otherwise, they hit exactly the same notes - Jews/Cantor/Israel want the impoverishment of their adopted homeland, they want war, they cannot be trusted....
Funny that when folks called Obama "skinny", it was derided as a racial epitaph. Less funny is that when Salon writers and left-wing think tanks start using Nazi phraseologyto describe American Jews, it is ignored by the experts and the media.
For now. I think the mere existence of Eric Cantor in a leadership position will expose the vile anti-semitism of the American Left, the way their ascendancy to power exposed their socialism and the predilection for authoritarianism. And much like the failings of a certain president, eventually the evidence will simply be to hard to ignore.

Barack Obama Shows World What A Whiny Little Bitch He Is
Amazing. From the nation that gave the world John Wayne, John McCain, cigar-chomping Marines, and George "smoke 'em out" Bush, we now get...this:
The president complained several times during his news conference about the U.S. media’s coverage of the G-20 summit. He pushed back at the suggestion that he’s weaker on the world stage because of the midterm elections and argued that his fellow leaders are no tougher on him than they were a year ago when he was new to the scene and his poll numbers were high.
“I remember our first G-20, you guys writing the exact same stories you’re writing now. Don’t you remember that, Sheryl?” Obama said to The New York Times’s Sheryl Stolberg.
Asked by CBS’s Chip Reid about complaints heard from other leaders during the summit, Obama shot back: “What about compliments?”
He appeared thin-skinned about the characterizations of his time at the summit, saying that nobody wrote about leaders setting the stage for financial regulatory reform at the last G-20 summit because it “wasn’t real sexy” and criticizing reporters’ “search for drama.”
William Kristol comments:
...did Obama really expect a reporter to stand up at the end of last week and ask, “Mr. President, what compliments did you receive from foreign leaders?”
That is, apparently, exactly what the president expected.
And that has us worried. We’ve assumed the president would learn from the voters’ repudiation of his party on November 2. We’ve assumed he would learn from reality’s refutation of his policies over the last two years. But the vanity...seems to be standing in the way of such learning.
Ah. But Barack Obama represents a different type of learning and achievement, with the rules and bars of each being set by the liberal establishment. What have they wrought?
Actually, it's not about achievement at all, it's simply about trying. And if you tried, and still failed, well - you'll still get a good grade, and you will be praised incessantly for your intentions, regardless of what the outcome of those intentions are. Self-esteem being worth more than self-achievement, of course, with tons of extra credit if you happen to have a darker hue of skin than the majority of the American people. Even more praise shall be given, if the advancement of said failing student helps the personal self-esteem and self-worth of the teachers involved. And remember - if something goes wrong, it is never your fault, it is always - and only -because someone who hates said skin tone is trying to hold you back in nefarious fashion.
And what is the end result of the "liberal method" of education? Barack Hussein Obama, standing in front of the world, having just completed an economic summit that is being graded a failure by even his most loyal syncophants, whining about being criticised, and demanding to hear a retelling of the praise and compliments heaped upon him by world leaders, whether true or not, whether earned or not.
The lesson of the Obama presidency go far beyond politics, and speaks to the poison of the liberal mindset that is seeping - nay, flowing - into our education system at every level, and threatening to make Barack Obamas of us all...

Victim Schism In Democratic Caucus Continues
Yesterday, the issue was concern over letting Carolyn Maloney replace Edolphus Towns on the House oversight committee, a move which would be practical and prudent from a political standpoint, but unacceptable from a racial/victim class standpoint - you simply can't have a "B" level victim (a woman) replace an "A" level victim (a black man), regardless of competence or expertise. And when the Democrats asked Rep. Maloney if she would allow a less senior black man to pass over her to become their ranking committee member, Maloney said no, in a hurry.
I said this crack could become a chasm. Feel the ground shaking? That's the ground shifting under the Democrat's feet, as another black congressman tries to put another white woman in her place:
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) warned Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) of "disloyalty" to President Obama if she should seek to distance herself from the White House in her re-election campaign.
Cleaver, who's seen as the likely next leader of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), cautioned the centrist senator of distancing herself from Obama, the way many endangered incumbents had done in the closing weeks of the 2012 election.
“Any attempt to extricate herself from him will be an act of disloyalty,” Cleaver told McClatchy in a piece profiling McCaskill's re-election campaign. “She will not do that at all.”
Sounds like a threat. Not that Cleaver has much to worry about, as McCaskill voted in favor of Obamacare and the stimulus bill, both roundly hated by Claire's fellow Missourians. Where can she go?
Why the pre-emptive charge of treason? Simple - Cleaver wants McCaskill to stay on the plantation, but to know her place - be loyal to the master in the Big White House, and stay behind him (Cleaver) on line, forever, if he deems it necessary.
Amazing - if the Democrats lose the female vote, they are done as a political force. And yet any woman who shows any sign of disagreeing with their agenda, whether inside their tent or out, is ruthlessly demonized (as a nut or a slut, or perhaps now as a traitor).
Seems as if their ideology holds a vice grip on reality. Reminds me of the way a certain president governs, by the way. Explains the state of the country. Explains the state of his party...

Congressional Democrats Bedeviled By "Racial Justice"
Live by the race card, die by it. Just ask any poker player who went all-in hoping the final card would provide him with the winning flush...
The remaining Democrats in Congress are in a pickle, all right. With Nancy's deposed bitch-boy Steny Hoyer (D-White) fighting for the whip position against Rep. James Clyburn (D-Black), the liberal caucus is already starting to crack among racial lines. Now it appears as if New Yorker Democrat Carolyn Maloney (D-White Female) is about to turn that crack into a chasm:
The Obama White House is said to want the oversight committee’s current chairman, Rep. Edolphus Towns, out — Towns is seen as a liability to Obama with Issa set to achieve subpoena power come January when Republicans take over the House.
The problem Democrats face...is that replacing Towns with Rep. Carolyn Maloney, the second most senior Democrat on the panel, is considered politically unpalatable.
Particularly with Hoyer appearing to have the edge on Clyburn in the whip race, replacing a second African-American in leadership with a white member of Congress is not feasible given the political dynamics of the Democratic caucus.
Instead, top Democrats sought to bypass Maloney and install Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, an African American, who is third in seniority.
Maloney, who values her work on the committee highly, said no. The nine-term New Yorker is also described as sensitive to the importance of seniority.
No doubt. So it seems as if the Democrats will be forced to have a weak ranking member - Towns - facing off against Rep. Darrell Issa (R) on the oversight committee. No wonder the Washington Democratic establishment is soiling themselves - with Towns as their only foil, they can expect a flood of subpoenas to come rolling down Capital Hill and end up directly up their asses...
Funny that they had no qualms about asking Maloney to step aside, though. White women are a protected member of the Democratic plantation, but are always lower on the victim scale than the black man, and must therefore cede way. Just ask Hillary Clinton...
And so the meltdown begins, and the spark that ignites the flame comes from within the Democrat's own house, as the survivors of the Great Voter Purge of 2010 are left to bicker over who's racial/gender status trumps who's, while strategy and competence are mere afterthoughts in a battle over the remaining spoils...

Background: Apparently, with daughter Meghan McCain out sharpening the knife, John's wife Cindy siezed on the opportunity to stick hers into her husband's back. Regarding "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", Cindy spoke thusly in a web video:
"Our political and religious leaders tell LGBT youth that they have no future," Mrs. McCain says in the video. "They can't serve our country openly."
Which, of course, gives us this:

And is there a bigger battlefield than New York City, once the economic capital of the world, a place now teeming with unemployed dying to work, and micro-managed by liberal Democratic politicians who take their guidance from such luminaries as known financial expert Barack Obama?
Bronx BP Ruben Diaz is on Governor-elect Andrew Cuomo's transition team. What has Diaz wrought in the past? let's just say you can know his presence by the trail of his dead:
A developer offered to build a $300 million mall at the Kingsbridge Armory, using $50million in tax subsidies, but balked at Diaz's demand that all future jobs there pay $10 an hour or more, which would have made the project uneconomical. So Diaz got council members to nix the project. And goodbye 2,200 jobs.
Diaz, who Gov.-elect Cuomo tapped for his transition team yesterday, was delighted that folks would go jobless, even as unemployment in The Bronx was 13.1 percent. "The notion that any job is better than no job no longer applies," he boasted.
Hmmm. I'd like to see a poll on that. Meanwhile, unemployment in the Bronx is now 13.2%. But I suppose that Diaz and Cuom0 are willing to let that number go a lot higher in order to avoid paying people the slave wage of $7.50 an hour...
Meanwhile, Diaz is trying to make his policy go statewide, and is among a consortium of crooked pols trying to squash a city-commissioned study, fearing it might reveal the legislation's toll, particularly on poor minorities.
Much like Obama, it is not about reality, it is about "fairness". And I suppose it is somewhat fair if we all commit mass suicide....

On Veteran's Day, Obama Praises The Troops - Indonesia's Troops, That Is...
....while bashing American democracy overseas:
...Not that Obama doesn't appreciate the sacrifices of veterans. He absolutely does. Just ask the Indonesians.
He was in Jakarta for their Heroes Day this week to honor their veterans "who have sacrificed on behalf of this great country."
"This great country," of course, being Indonesia.
"When my stepfather was a boy, he watched his own father and older brother leave home to fight and die in the struggle for Indonesian independence," Obama told the audience.
And the White House wonders why so many people think there is something foreign about this guy.
In the same speech, Obama gave voice to a harsh criticism he has heard about freely elected governments.
"Today, we sometimes hear that democracy stands in the way of economic progress," he said
The shocking statement raises the question: Where has Obama heard this fatuous claim and with whom has he been talking politics?
Oh! Oh! I can answer that one!
He hears it from Thomas Friedman at the New York Times, as well as the entire inner circle of his closest leftist advisers, all of whom are frustrated that an American president cannot simply point his finger and command people and businesses to do exactly what they want them to do. And have the results turn out exactly they way their socialist economic textbooks tell them they will...
And no one else has ever heard this, or even dreamed of it, because most average people do not spend their lives in a radical left-wing echo chamber!
How's that answer?
I guess this is what a "Happy Veteran's Day" greeting sounds like from Barack Obama - a trip far from the homeland, a casual toss of a wreath at a U.S. base somewhere in South Korea, and high praise for Muslim soldiers fighting for "the great country" of...Indonesia.
That "plunk" sound you just heard, by the way, was what remains of the president's "approval" ratings, dropping even further into the drink...

Obama Launches Pre-Emptive Strike...Against Chris Christie, and New Jersey
Gee, Barack Obama can be such a tough guy...when it's his ass on the line. Of course, should the rest of us get vaporized by an Iranian nuke, you can rest assured he will deliver a pleasant eulogy, and keep an "unclenched hand" towards the mullahs...
But right now, Barack Obama sees trouble for Barack Obama coming out of New Jersey, in the hard-to-miss shape of Chris Christie. A political rock star (remember when that was Baracky's moniker?), with adoring fans googling frantically for his YouTube videos, Christie is considered heir apparent to the Republican throne, despite his denials. As Jersey goes purple before Obama's eyes, and he sees his popularity languish behind Christie's in the Garden State, the Effete One finally decides to act.
His first strike is against Christie alone, and it is laughable:
In a reprise of an issue from last year’s gubernatorial campaign, Governor Chris Christie’s travel expenses while U.S. Attorney have been criticised in a Justice Department Audit.
The audit says Christie over spent by a total of $2,176 over 14 trips. 12 of those trips involved cases that earned the government $311 million in civil penalties.
That's just over $150- per. What, did he fly direct instead of making stopovers? And being that the net profit here is now $2K shy of $311 million....what's the f*cking problem?
Besides Chris Christie, I mean.
And incidentally,just how much did that investigation of Christie cost? The auditors won't say, but you can bet Christie's big bottom that is was more than $2,176-.
And here's Obama's second volley; shot directly at Christie to make him look bad, but with the clear understanding that it will splatter all over the people of New Jersey:
The Obama administration wants prompt repayment of more than $270 million in federal grant money dedicated to New Jersey for a rail tunnel to Manhattan that became a political flashpoint when the state withdrew from the project.
In a letter sent on Monday to New Jersey Transit Executive Director James Weinstein, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA: 25.45 ,-0.04 ,-0.16%) said the state "must immediately repay all the federal assistance" spent so far on the project canceled by Gov. Chris Christie due to costs.
This includes $271 million, plus interest and penalties, that already had been sent to the state.
-If you are a politician contemplating a 2012 run at Barack Obama, expect him to take it out on the citizens of your state in order to de-legitimize you. Their economic deaths may give Dear Leader extended life, so it's a trade-off he's more than willing to make.
-if your state leaves the Democratic plantation, expect to get punished by the thugs now running the government. New Jersey has felt Obama's wrath since firing his butt-buddy and money-man Jon Corzine; if I were in Wisconsin, I would lay low for a while...

Maybe we ought to sue Jon Corzine, for starting this project in the first place, with no idea of how to pay for it?

- one, Barack Obama prefers disorderly state management rather than sober fiscal restraint, as he is punishing New Jersey for cancelling a project they could not afford. Obama realizes, somewhere in his dark soul, that his economic illiteracy will destroy America. He just wants us all to go down together...-If you are a politician contemplating a 2012 run at Barack Obama, expect him to take it out on the citizens of your state in order to de-legitimize you. Their economic deaths may give Dear Leader extended life, so it's a trade-off he's more than willing to make.

Chris Christie Polls Strong In Blue Jersey; Liberals Respond By Calling Him Fat
Considering the Democratic bias of this state, Christie's approval numbers - especially as compared to liberal godhead Barack Obama - are outsized:
New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie gets decent grades from voters as he nears the end of his first year in office, with a 51 - 38 percent approval rating, higher than President Barack Obama or any other statewide leader, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
His first year in office has been mainly a success, 52 percent of voters say, while 35 percent say it's been mainly a failure. Christie is doing a better job than expected, 32 percent say, as 23 percent say he is doing a worse job and 42 percent say he is doing about as well as they expected.
"We like our in-your-face governor, Christopher Christie, and think he's a real Jersey guy - sometimes a bully, often confrontational, but getting a fair number of A's and a lot of B's in his first year," said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
Christie outscores President Obama, who gets a negative 46 - 50 percent approval rating in the Garden State, down from a 47 - 47 percent split in an August 19 Quinnipiac University poll and Obama's worst score ever in the state.
Why should this make the Democrats sh*t themselves? Because here is a guy who is breaking down the edifices of the liberal governmental model, pretty much with his bare hands and big mouth. And in a liberal state, he is drawing big kudos for it. Whether he runs for president or not, if his Republican philosophy can win over a blue state like New Jersey, what hope in hell to the Democrats have in 2012, assuming the Republican standard bearer runs on a similar platform?

And how does the left respond to this? By mocking Chris Christie's weight:
On Monday, Columbia University Professor and TV commentator Marc LaMont Hill told viewers of Fox 29 Philadelphia that Christie is too fat to be President of the United States.
“He can’t win, let’s be honest” said Hill. “I’m going to say this and its going to make people mad – he’s fat.”
Commenting on voter affinity to attractive candidates, Hill went on to say that Christie is playing the political circuit “perfectly, now if he could just run the circuit a little bit and trim some of that off, he’ll be just fine.”
Hmmm...Some say the turning point of the 2009 governor's campaign was an ad Jon Corzine ran depicting Christie's big frame and declaring he was known to "throw his weight around". Liberal practically wet themselves over that one; how witty, how clever, how original they were to think of making fun of man's weight...
That's about the time Christie's positives took a nice, permanent jump, while Corzine suddenly found himself even further south into negative territory. But here they go again...can't teach an old liberal new tricks, I reckon...

Obama Loves Ghandi. Indians Think Obama Is An Idiot.
The Indians have learned quickly what it took Americans almost two years to figure out: Obama has a great speaking voice, but he doesn't say much, and he has the intellectual depth of a pothole puddle.
Specifically, it appears as if our masterful intellectual liberal leader only knows one thing about India: Ghandi. And so he repeats it, ad nasuem, to every Indian he meets. Which makes them...nauseous:
On several occasions, he has cited his deep admiration for Gandhi, perhaps as evidence of his fondness for India.
“The impression on the Indian side is every time you meet him, he talks about Gandhi,” said Shekhar Gupta, editor of The Indian Express, a leading English-language newspaper, adding that the repeated references struck some officials as platitudinous.
Silly third-worlders...don't they know this is all about race?
In praising Gandhi, Mr. Obama has often cited the influence of Gandhi’s civil disobedience campaigns on the civil rights movement in the United States. Dr. King visited India in 1959, more than a decade after Gandhi’s death, seeking to draw from the taproot of his moral power, in a trip publicized in India and the United States.
“The trip for King was very much about laying claim to the Gandhian legacy,”
And this trip for Obama, apparently, is about laying claim to King's legacy...as well as Ghandi's.
The Indians, however, have other concerns about people laying claim to their legacy...and lives:
...all that students questioning him wanted to discuss was "jihad." And he was ready with that bull-shitty quarter truth that "Well, the phrase jihad has a lot of meanings within Islam and is subject to a a lot of different interpretations."....
Obama continued: All of us recognize that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people that is never justified. So, I think, one of the challenges that we face is how do we isolate those who have distorted notions of religious war.
This does not sit well with the billion Indians, especially Hindu Indians, who are sitting ducks for jihadist terror. And it certainly did not sit well with the president's listeners....
The president lives in his own world, where all Indians are Ghandis, Islam is a religion of peace, Israel is the root cause of the world's problems, and massive debt loads are a tonic for ailing economies.
I'm sure Obama's world is a comfortable place for him, and his fellow liberal academics, to reside. Unfortunately, it bears no resemblance to reality whatsoever. And the Indians are now waking up to the fact that the leader of the world's sole remaining super power is not only an idiot, but a clueless one at that.
Seems like the Indians bade farewell to Barack Obama with much more foreboding than they greeted him with. Welcome to our world, my Indian friends. Join the (tea) party....

Chris Christie Smacks Down David Gregory...
....Christie is at his best when taking on the media, challenging their liberal assumptions while pushing Democratic talking points. He did it with David Gregory yesterday, first correcting his bald-face lies about the federal government offering to pick up the tab on the "ARC tunnel" discontinued by the governor, and then...moving onto to tax policy. And Governor Christie did not mince words about what he believed were David Gregory's motivations for choosing the particular phrases he used:
GREGORY: What about the Bush tax cuts and extending those? You’ve said that should happen at all levels for a couple of years, but you’ve said only a couple of years because there is a day of reckoning here. Can you have tax cuts when you also want to balance the, the budget? Or do you have to consider tax increases at the federal level at some point?
GOV. CHRISTIE: Well, you know, I’ve been watching you for weeks talk about extending the Bush tax cuts. Drives me crazy when I’m sitting at home. This is about maintaining the current tax structure in a time we have a very weak economy. And so I favor extending these for another two years, extending the current tax system and not having a tax increase…
GREGORY: But those, I mean, wait a minute. It may drive you crazy, and I know other Republicans that feel the same way. But I’ve also talked to Republicans. I’ve talked to economists like Alan Greenspan who say there is no free lunch here. You cannot have tax cuts at this level and not have them be paid for. And other Republicans say, yes, they should be pay for. So you do agree they should be paid for.
GOV. CHRISTIE: Well, obviously–well, listen, I’ve, I’m walking the walk in New Jersey, David.
GREGORY: OK.
GOV. CHRISTIE: I mean, when I said we’re vetoing the millionaires tax, I found spending tax to pay for that.

GOV. CHRISTIE: But I’m–what I’m disagreeing with you is you characterizing what’s happening here as a–as tax cuts. This is maintaining the current tax policy in a weak economy, and what you’re, what you’re advocating through your question is tax increases.
GREGORY: Right. I’m not–that’s not fair. I’m not advocating. I’m, I’m questioning whether or not they have to be paid for.
GOV. CHRISTIE: Well, when you call the, when you call the tax cuts, what I’m saying is the–I take the position as the opposite of that.
GREGORY: Right. Right.
GOV. CHRISTIE: The opposite of that is it is a tax increase in a weakened…
GREGORY: But they are set to expire.
GOV. CHRISTIE: …weeks in, in a weakened economy. And what I’m saying is you should keep the current tax structure in place until our economy gets stronger.
GREGORY: That’s fine. But they’re set to expire, so if you’re going to re-authorize them, they’re, they’re, you’re voting for tax cuts.

A lot of folks have been talking about the need for clarity about what the Tea Party, and the New Republicans, stand for. There is no one on the national scene - of either party - who delivers more clarity than Chris Christie.
He doesn't need to run for president, but for love of his country, he needs to be out there. And I think he knows that...

Marco Rubio Goes To Israel...
....giving him exactly one more trip to the Holy Land than President Barack Obama, who has not shown his face there at all since his election. Wise, Israelis are not known for their obsequiousness, and Barack likely fears (with good reason) a few choice words spoken directly to his face from Parliament back-benchers, or random passers-by...

Michael Bloomberg Stars in: Liberals Gone Wild!
Despite the fact that New York Mayor Michale Bloomberg ran as a Republican his first term (the Democratic ticket was taken), and as an independent the last two (despite being legally limited to two), our boy is a dyed in the wool liberal elitist, from his smoking bans to his in-your-meal calorie-counting to his bike lanes over car lanes ideology in the world's most congested city.
And to prove it, while visiting China the other day, our esteemed mayor went off on everyone who is not, or does not think like, him:

-displaying an utter disdain for folks who are not Ivy-league educated, regardless of their "real world credentials". Why not ask Col. Allen West (R-FL) or former Marine and undercover FBI agent Michael Grimm (R-NY) if they have passports? Or Princeton educated Nina Hayworth (R-NY) if she "can read"?
-accusations of geopolitical ignorance on the other side. There are seven ex Iraq/Afghanistan veterans in Congress now, Mr. Bloomberg - I dare you to approach them, and inquire - with your little-man nastiness -if they can locate China on a map.
-repeating insulting left-wing talking points as established fact. Here, Bloomberg paraphrases Peter Beinart's argument for keeping NPR to a "T"

NFL Picks, Conservative-Style!
Sick of all those non-political media columnists - television critics, movie critics, lifestyle reviews, theatre-goers, sports analysis - sticking snarky pro-liberal/conservative-bashing witticisms into their commentary that usually falls as flat as a lead balloon?
Well, here's a breath of fresh air - The New York Post's (the conservative daily of record, thank you very much) football handicapper, known as "Hondo", makes his picks for tomorrow's NFL action, and turns the table on the left-wing noise machine that has for so long permeated the dailies.
Here are some of his calls - bereft of actual football rationale, but with enough conservative snark to fill the soul of any football-loving conservative this Sunday:
Bears over Bills: If you’re wondering why Obama seemed so down at Wednesday’s press conference, it was probably because Tuesday’s message from the voters came through loud and clear: You’re next, big guy!
Chargers over Texans: Condolences to Keith “Gasbag” Olbermann (aka Uberdork) and the rest of the Democrat bobbleheads who were anchoring MSNBC’s election coverage Tuesday. Clearly, the Crats’ loss of the House, as well as the network getting smoked in the ratings by Fox, indicates a lack of both influence and relevance. For the love of God, somebody pull the plug on that mess.
Gasbag Olbermann caved in and decided to drop his “Worst Persons of the World” segment after getting spanked by Jon Stewart last Saturday. That’s too bad. It was so much fun for the few viewers he has left to decide what order his nightly three choices would be: Limbaugh, O’Reilly and Palin; or Palin, Limbaugh and O’Reilly; or O’Reilly, Palin and Limbaugh . . .
Saints over Panthers: The most distressing news that came out on election night may have come from Carl Paladino, who, in the wake of his drubbing by Cuomo, announced: “You have not heard the last of Carl Paladino.”
Colts over Eagles: Actor Zach Galifianakis fired up a joint on Bill Maher’s show last week. Tune in this week, maybe Maher can get Charlie Sheen and some hookers to free-base some cocaine.
Speaking of Charlie, BarkingMut says Sheen has a spinoff of his current show in development. It’ll be called “Two And A Half Grams.”
Charlie filed for divorce from Brooke Muller. What a shame. Christmas just won’t be the same for Brooke without Charlie jumping on top of her and holding a knife to her throat.
Bengals over Steelers: Mel Gibson dressed up as a hobo on Halloween, which was a bit of a surprise. Most would have guessed Mad Mel would have gone for a more Nazi-ish look.
Not buying all of Hondo's picks here, although he is one of the Post's best handicappers. I'll take the right-wing snark, though, all day long.

CBS Photoshops Obama...
....to make a non-so-subtle point on their political web page: His "black half" will be there to work with Democrats, but he'll need to use his "white half" to work with the Republicans:
Looks like CBS can't move into the post-racial era, either. And what half will he use to work with Col. West and Tim Scott, pray tell? Or Nikki Haley, or Susan Martinez? Can he metamorphosis his skin tones - chameleon-style - in a way that will make him match the color of the person he is working with? Is that what CBS boils down the state of our national politics to?
Obama's skin tone doesn't matter to the people he is about to be working with, it's his insides- pure ugly - that is at issue.
The most revealing thing about this photo is what it says about CBS's mindset. Racialist, or simply still stuck on stupid? We'll know by how they confront Barack Obama on 60 Minutes tonight when he claims his midterm defeat was caused by a "failure to communicate..."

Why Was Keith Olbermann Suspended? That's An Easy One...
Here's the facts:
Keith Olbermann, MSNBC's primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.
"I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay," MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.
First reported by Politico and confirmed by Federal Election Commission filings, the primetime television host gave $2,400 – the maximum individual amount allowed – to each of the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway, and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords.
Let's face it: No one on the right really cares that Keith contributes to Democratic candidates. Based on his Alan Grayson-esque commentary, who do you think he would contribute to - Rand Paul? And the individual limits are rather small, and it doesn't appear (yet) as if he worked around them. He did violate NBC policy, however, but as Bill Kristol points out:
GE, the corporate parent of MSNBC, gives money to political organizations. GE executives and, I’m sure, NBC executives give money. Why can’t Olbermann?
Perhaps Olbermann violated NBC News “policy and standards.” But NBC doesn’t have real news standards for MSNBC—otherwise the channel wouldn’t exist. It’s a little strange to get all high and mighty now.
Strange? I don't think so. There's an easy explanation here, which I will illustrate with a few earlier blog posts...

How coincidental is it - just as the Obama administration is launching a full-on attack against Israel that could bring a smile to Yassar Arafat's rotting AIDS-ridden corpse - that a major television network should hire a known anti-Israeli agitator to anchor their high-profile Sunday morning news show?

The ABC News correspondent, one of the best at covering the economy, got engaged in December to Barak Obama's budget director, Peter Orszag, who hid a 5-carat, cushion-cut diamond ring under her menu over lunch at Sarabeth's on Central Park South. Now she's been promoted to co-anchor of the weekend edition of "Good Morning America," joining Bill Weir.
Get it? The media, having willingly subverted itself to the political system, now is scrambling to please a new set of masters. Had this not been a wave election, do you really think Olbermann would have been "suspended"? Sounds like Phil Griffin got his orders from higher up, who thought they were pleasing the new party in power my sacrificing what they believed to be the Republican's biggest nemesis.
Except he isn't. He's a mosquito buzzing around an echo chamber, easily swatted aside and subsequently ignored. If Griffin wanted to do something meaningful in terms of public discourse, he would have issued some edicts about the tone of the MSNBC broadcasts, and the hate-filled dialogue that masquerades as "progressive talking points". But I suppose it is easier just to cut heads...
Once Griffin realizes he will earn no kudos or payback for his silencing of Olbermann, he'll bring him back, and likely allow the hate to go on tenfold. No matter. The lesson of media cravenness has been put on full display, perhaps acting as a warning to certain outspoken hosts that their contracts, no matter what the fine print says, are only good until 2012....

Illegal Immigrant Sentenced To Three Life Terms In "Newark Massacre"
Another cautionary tale of the perils of liberal policy from New Jersey...first, the crime:
When Natasha Aeriel faced Melvin Jovel three years ago, he had a .357-caliber Magnum pointed at the teenager.
She begged for mercy, but Jovel showed none, coolly shooting her in the head in a schoolyard in Newark, after having just shot her brother and two friends. Of the four, only Aeriel survived.
Before Jovel was sentenced Thursday to three consecutive life terms in prison, Aeriel faced him one final time, in Superior Court in Newark.
At first, the 22-year-old woman was angry, and admonished Jovel, 21, for not looking at her as she spoke. But the anger subsided, and a calm took hold. "I would like to thank him for allowing me to be closer to Christ," she said, referring to Jovel.
On the night of Aug. 4, 2007, Jovel and five other young men set upon Aeriel and her brother Terrance, 18, and their two friends Iofemi Hightower and Dashon Harvey, both 20, behind Mount Vernon Elementary School.
All four were shot in the head.
Jovel sat stoically as he listened through earphones from a Spanish translator. He did not offer an apology.
Some 12 paragraphs into a 21 paragraph story, the Star-Ledger does let us in on this little bit of somewhat relevant information:
Born in Honduras, he grew up in Newark and attended city schools through 11th grade, Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin said in court while briefly reviewing the case. He said Jovel has no history of employment, is in the United States illegally and has no prior criminal history.
In September, Jovel admitted to shooting all four victims. Prosecutors said he and the five others charged have ties to a violent Central American street gang known as MS-13...
How gracious of them to tell us the truth about his illegal alien status, even though they follow it up immediately with "he had no criminal history". If this was spoken, rather than printed, it would sound like "JovenisintheUnitedStatesillegally BUT had no prior criminal history..."
And while the Star-Ledger may not permit itself to speculate, I will: How likely is it that a man who has never worked, and is a member of a "violent street gang", has never committed a criminal act before? Do you go from alter boy to slaughter boy without a few stops in the middle, say for assault, or armed robbery? While he may have no criminal history, well, to paraphrase Mr. Spock, "If I were to drop a hammer on a planet with a positive gravity I do not have to watch it to be sure it has dropped ..."
I've written about this assault in the past, here and here. But the most salient part, for those who don't remember, was New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine's - Mr. Open Borders, Mr. Sanctuary City - twisted, classically liberal, response to this schoolyard slaughter by an illegal immigrant:
"It is about a failure of us to be inclusive and holistically look to bring everyone into our society".
That's our future, if we allow any type of amnesty bill to be passed. Not only will we need to pay for the survival of millions of additional "citizens" of questionable origin, but when they kill innocents, we will be blamed for it as well - for not "holistically" bringing them into our homes, I suppose.
Well, it sure beats having to re-think your policies. Right, Barack?
But beware amnesty. IF the Democrats have learned one lesson from Tuesday's election, it's that they need a lot more registered voters - and fast...

Why The Generic Ballot is Useless - The Jersey Example
So the big buzz in the days leading up to the elections was the Gallup and Rasmussen generic ballot polls that showed Republicans leading by 12-15 points. "Uncharted territory", to borrow their phrase (which I did on multiple occasions while election-blogging). It was these results which changed predictions from a 1994 or similar wave to a "tsunami", an "earthquake", a "Godzilla-esque leveling of the playing field" (OK, I made that last one up), and people started to get into the fantasy land of 70-100 seats changing hands.
We wound up with at least 60, finally tallies will probably add a few seats (but forget about hitting 70, if it's close enough to drag on this long, it's too close to defeat the Democrats "margin of fraud"), bringing us up to 63, more or less....
Epic. And yet there was a sense of disappointment in some quarters, including this little roadside stand on the vast Internet highway. I was hopeful - although not overconfident - that here in New Jersey either Anna Little would topple Frank Pallone, or Scott Sipprelle would defeat Rush Holt. Neither happened, although the Holt victory is instructive as far as the "generic ballot" goes.
Let's look at Holt's margin of victory since his district was re-jiggered in his favor following the 2000 election:
2002: 61%-39%
2004: 59%-41%
2006: 65%-35%
2008: 62%-36%
And how did he do in the Great Wave Year of 2010?
2010: Holt 53% - Sipprelle 47%
And thus we see the uselessness of the generic ballot. In NJ-12, while the generic ballot numbers may have been fairly close to the actual generic result, it was not enough to overcome a district gerrymandered to produce a Democratic outcome. In fact, is that not the entire purpose of the gerrymandered district - to create an electoral firewall that can withstand a storm similar to what just passed through?

In the 12th district, Trenton voters provided Rush Holt with 8,044 votes to Scott Sipprelle’s 437. Holt won the entire district by 13,836 votes.
The fact that in an incredibly dense state like New Jersey, that Trenton - a 45 minute ride from my house - is in my district, as well as Princeton - another 40 minutes in a different direction - is absolutely insane.
And thus the importance of the Republican's massive statehouse victories on Tuesday night. Forget about the Senate - it is the local-level activists and Tea Partiers that won their first elections as "assemblymen" that will help make sure the 2012 wave - and it is coming, trust me - doesn't run into any Democratic sandbags, but washes away all the "Representatives" that no longer truly represent large swaths of their districts....
So while I originally bemoaned the chance of ever eradicating Rush Holt, now I see that Tuesday's storm has softened him up considerably; with the inevitable redistricting (even done by a Democratic Jersey statehouse; word is that NJ will lose at least one Congressional district based on the new census. And the Dems can thanks themselves for that, as tax refugees stream out of Jersey....) it is likely he will emerge at least somewhat weaker.
And that might be all it takes to switch 3% of NJ-12 in 2012.
To put a twist a hackneyed liberal expression: Ignore the vote nationally, focus your vote locally...
We wound up with at least 60, finally tallies will probably add a few seats (but forget about hitting 70, if it's close enough to drag on this long, it's too close to defeat the Democrats "margin of fraud"), bringing us up to 63, more or less....
Epic. And yet there was a sense of disappointment in some quarters, including this little roadside stand on the vast Internet highway. I was hopeful - although not overconfident - that here in New Jersey either Anna Little would topple Frank Pallone, or Scott Sipprelle would defeat Rush Holt. Neither happened, although the Holt victory is instructive as far as the "generic ballot" goes.
Let's look at Holt's margin of victory since his district was re-jiggered in his favor following the 2000 election:
2002: 61%-39%
2004: 59%-41%
2006: 65%-35%
2008: 62%-36%
And how did he do in the Great Wave Year of 2010?
2010: Holt 53% - Sipprelle 47%
And thus we see the uselessness of the generic ballot. In NJ-12, while the generic ballot numbers may have been fairly close to the actual generic result, it was not enough to overcome a district gerrymandered to produce a Democratic outcome. In fact, is that not the entire purpose of the gerrymandered district - to create an electoral firewall that can withstand a storm similar to what just passed through?

Post Election, Barack Obama Tells America: "Talk To The Hand"
...because Barack Obama is never - ever - wrong. He is just so far above us on an intellectual scale - mere amoebas are we - that we cannot begin to comprehend his wisdom, depth, intellect, and superiority.
So why should he change? It is we who need to bend to his will, and despite sending 60+ new representatives to Congress to make that point clear, he is, in his magnanimity, going to wait for us to catch up to him.
As per his words yesterday, we are the ones who still don't get it:
"I think people started looking at all this and it felt as if government was getting much more intrusive into people's lives than they were accustomed to," Obama said.
"Now, the reason was, it was an emergency situation. But I think it's understandable that folks said to themselves, 'You know, maybe this is the agenda as opposed to a response to an emergency.' "
"And we were in such a hurry to get things done that we didn't change how things got done. And I think that frustrated people."
He continued: "I'm sympathetic to folks who looked at it and said, 'This is looking like potential overreach.' "
See? It's all just a matter of perception. The reality is he's still super awesome, brilliant, and way cool. And understanding! See, he knows exactly why we voted against him, and he's sympathetic:
"People are frustrated," he said. "They're deeply frustrated with the pace of our economic recovery and the opportunities that they hope for their children and their grandchildren."
No reflection on the fact that his policies may be the very cause of the "pace of the economic recovery"...George Will comments:
It is amazing the ingenuity Democrats invest in concocting explanations of voter behavior that erase what voters always care about, and this year more than ever -- ideas. This election was a nationwide recoil against Barack Obama's idea of unlimited government.
Self-evident to even the most causal thinker, but not to Barack Obama, who still insisted, in yesterday self-pitying party of a press conference , that it is we who do not appreciate all that is being done to - I mean for - us. And you can just see him biting back the frustration, holding back the deep sigh, and fighting the urge to leap into his talking points about the clingers, the scared, the great unwashed, and how f*cking stupid we all are for not recognizing his greatness!
But to paraphrase Rick Richman, and the president himself, perhaps it simply reflects the well-known fact that left-wing intellectuals are hard-wired to talk like that when they are scared....
Maybe. But a scared left-wing intellectual is apparently also an inflexible one, refusing to bow to facts or logic until they first bow to him.
Expect two more years of the same. Gridlock, here we come. And I, for one, will welcome our new do-nothing government...

Election 2010: Republican Senate Results Are Better Than They Appear...

The prospect of an eight or nine or 10 Senate-seat pickup for the GOP has skewed the punditry. You have to keep in mind that the whole House was up for re-election, but the entire Senate wasn’t. Only 37 seats were at issue. Let’s say Ken Buck pulls through. The percentage of seats picked up by the GOP would then be 18.9 percent (seven of 37). In the context of the whole House, this would be the equivalent of an 83-seat pickup. Put differently, given the number of seats up and the fact that there were so many Blue States in play, the GOP’s haul is by any measure an extraordinary achievement. And in the Senate, if Lisa Murkowski wins and caucuses with the GOP, there won’t be single lost seat for the Republicans.
It looks like Buck is toast, but if Rossi pulls through in Washington, Rubin's numbers hit the mark. But even if Patty Murray keeps her day job, the Republicans will have taken 16% of the seats available (again, while holding all of their own), which would translate to approximately a 72-seat pickup in the House. Pretty close to where we'll end up; once the dust settles, it appears as if the Republicans are looking at 67-70 sweet new seats...
So the wave was uniform, the numbers just aren't' as impressive as the 60+ we're seeing in the House, and complete control was not attained. But remember - these six victories were almost all forays into enemy ( blue) territory, operations completed successfully while giving up no ground on the home front.
Tell a battlefield commander he could pick up 16% of his "enemy's" territory (with a hat tip to Baracky on that one!) while not losing a man, and he'd jump at the chance. Just wait until the next wave election - scheduled for November 2012 - when a lot of the fighting will be done on much, much friendlier ground...
