Is Obama losing the Jews?

If you can't hold on to a bunch of self-hating liberals, willing to sacrifice their own lives, their children's lives, and their ancestral homeland on the alter of the Democratic party, who will be left in 2012?

Barack Obama started his presidency with an astounding 83% approval rating among American Jews. Nine months later, that support had dropped to 64%, and he ended 2009 with a dismal 48% approval rating. The president is clearly no longer on the same page.

My fellow Jews - like most liberals - believe they are smarter than they really are. The thing that might differentiate them is that they appear to be willing to change course after the events of the past 373 days. The same cannot be said of the president, or the Democratic leadership in Congress.

Which leads me to wonder how our politician-in-chief will react. Will he reverse course on some of his anti-Israeli policies and tactics in order to woo back the Jews (and any hope of winning Florida in 2012)? Or will he decide that, now that the Jews are defecting, he can freely pursue the anti-Semitic agenda (giving a Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson, [almost] selecting anti-Semite Charles Freeman to chair the National Intelligence Council, his cancellation of an appearance before the General Assembly of North American Jewish Federations, his non-stop attempts to humiliate Prime Minister Netanyahu, and this little snub as well) he's been working thru since Inauguration Day?

Why not? Can double as a warning to those who dare think of stepping off the plantation...
