Barack Obama Blames Bush for the Massachusetts Massacre!

You hear about that special election in Massachusetts yesterday? You know, the one where Republican Scott Brown won a seat in a deep-blue state that had been held by Democrats for the last half-century? The one where the winning candidate ran against the entire Obama program - from health care reform to tax increases?

Yeah, that one. Somebody better tell the president, because it seems as if he slept thru the last three weeks:

"Here's my assessment of not just the vote in Massachusetts, but the mood around the country: the same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office," the president said in an exclusive interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos. "People are angry and they are frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years."

In other words: Don't blame me that every blue state in the nation is turning red one-by-one...it's George Bush's fault!

If he really believes what he's saying, that's scary, and does not bode well for the future of the Democratic party, the president, or the country. But then again, he's an ideologue, not a politician.

If he doesn't believe what he's saying, then he has a really low opinion of the intelligence of his fellow Americans. But then again, he's a liberal elitist, so this would be par for the course.

Either way...simply unbelievable.

I was positively speechless when I heard him say that. You're right. If he truly believes that, he is dangerously out of touch. If he doesn't believe that, but is saying it thinking that it will fly, he is dangerously out of touch.

In both cases, the key word is "dangerous."
