"Jersey Rules"

No, that's not just some nativist chest-thumping, but the judgement passed by the New York Post's man in Iraq, Ralph Peters. In a report charmingly entitled "What Exit? Fallujah !", Peters tells us:

If you're sleeping safely in your own bed tonight, thank those Marines from "Joisey."

Great to see respect paid; too bad that New Jersey servicemen and women of all stripes are being respresented by cowards and lowlifes - such as Senators Lautenberg and Menendez, as well as dhimmi congressman such as Rush Holt - who are doing everything they can in a furious, desperate attempt to undermine the hard work these soldiers are doing, in order to turn an American victory into defeat, and in doing so salvage their own miserable political careers...

Am I questioning your patriotism, ladies? You'd better believe it....

Ack. OK, just this one time I won't knock New Jersey. ;-) I do love Ralph Peters, though -- he definitely rules. One of the best.

I also read yesterday that, unfortunately, one of the casualties in Iraq was a young man from West Milford [Staff Sgt. Jason Butkus]. I know I sleep safely at night because of strong peeps like him.

Wherever he is, I hope he knows that I am both extremely grateful for his service and saddened by his sacrifice.
