New Jersey's Senators Shame Their Constituents...

The ugly political positions espoused by New Jersey's Democratic Senators - Lautenberg and Menendez - is spelled out clearly within their voting records:

The Senate has just passed, with 70+ votes, the Cornyn Amendment, which reads:

To express the sense of the Senate that General David H. Petraeus, Commanding General, Multi-National Force-Iraq, deserves the full support of the Senate and strongly condemn personal attacks on the honor and integrity of General Petraeus and all members of the United States Armed Forces.

And how did my representatives vote?

The final vote was 72-25, with three not voting. Hillary Clinton voted against condemning MoveOn, while Barack Obama and Joseph Biden did not vote.

Here are the nays:

Akaka (D-HI) Bingaman (D-NM) Boxer (D-CA) Brown (D-OH) Byrd (D-WV) Clinton (D-NY)Dodd (D-CT) Durbin (D-IL) Feingold (D-WI) Harkin (D-IA) Inouye (D-HI) Kennedy (D-MA)Kerry (D-MA) Lautenberg (D-NJ) Levin (D-MI) Menendez (D-NJ) Murray (D-WA) Reed (D-RI)Reid (D-NV) Rockefeller (D-WV) Sanders (I-VT)Schumer (D-NY)Stabenow (D-MI)Whitehouse (D-RI)Wyden (D-OR).

75% of the Senate voted to condemn the anti-American, anti-military hate speech put out by the vile liberals of MoveOn.

44% of the Democrats voted to condemn this type of vicious partisan attack on America's soldiers.

But 100% of New Jersey's Senate contingent voted to support MoveOn and their efforts to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq.

I would love for one of the local news organizations to do a poll to see what precentage of New Jersey voters (sorry, Senator Menendez, you can't count illegal residents as "voters", no matter how hard you try) would agree with their Senator's positions; and how many of them would have voted for/against the Cornyn Amendment.

But after reading this, I would find it hard to believe any poll published by any New Jersey media outlet anyway...

Senators Lautenberg and Menendez shame the people of this state, and its residents who serve their country with honor in the armed services, by refusing to speak out against - actually, offering tactic support for - liberal hate groups like MoveOn.

Are these votes simply bought and paid for by MoveOn? Are our pathetic representatives afraid of losing some, ahem, "funding"? (how New Jersey of them!) Or do they really support the MoveOn message?

Well, they may feel no shame, but I do.

They do not speak in my name...

I never even bothered to look at the roll call, because I had little doubt how these two clowns would vote. I don't know how anyone in the military service or anyone with a loved one in the military service could vote for these two.

As for Hillary, how could anyone who wants to be the Commander in Chief vote this way? Why would anyone serve under the command of such a person? [/rhetorical questions]
