He then got roughed up a bit (and rightfully so; he didn't even get one tenth of what was coming to him). The incident was filmed and now Sarkozy is backing down instead of standing up for his men. All this to avoid these Muslim kids from going apeshit, as if they haven't already.

Jordan Attacked; Bush to Blame

The terrorists again shift the battle front; this time it is Jordanian hotels:

Suicide bombers carried out nearly simultaneous attacks on three U.S.-based hotels in the Jordanian capital Wednesday night, killing at least 57 people and wounding 115 in what appeared to be an al-Qaida assault on an Arab kingdom with close ties to the United States and a common border with Iraq. {http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9979747/}

I appreciate the term "al-Qaida assault" here; it is a pure war term, unlike the milquetoast words the media prefers, like "conflict" or "disputed" or "so-called war" (more on that later!). Is this Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's warning to secular Arab states? Warning against co-operation with the United States; or "U.S based" businesses? Or perhaps a strike against Jordan's peaceful relations with its neighbor The Zionist Entity"?

Then again, Jordan does share a border with Iraq...Can al-Qaida be moving materials thru Jordan; and is this attack a warning to steer clear? Today's slaughter of the innocents is not random; it is part of the bigger war; and here the terrorists are leading, because the West (with the exception of America/Austraila/Britian) is reacting, not acting. The media harms us here - every Western offensive must take into account the media's desire to turn it into a "slaughter"/defeat/rallying cry for anti-Americanism.

CNBC has been running with the story about the bombings in Jordan. A little while ago they had an NBC News producer on to talk about the significance. He said that it looks like Al Qaeda. If so, US officials will have to think seriously about whether their anti-terror policies are effective.

So today's terrorist killspree is turned into a defeat for American policy, and by extension, the president, by a NBC News producer given a platform by CNBC. Unbelieveable. I want to quote a commentator on the above blog:

The people who don't want us to fight this war on terrorism (much less actually win it), don't want us to kill anyone while fighting this war on terrorism, don't want us to capture anyone fighting against us in this war on terrorism, and don't want us to interrogate anyone we do capture while fighting this war on terrorism... these same people now want to excoriate the President because he did not prevent terrorists from carrying out suicide bombing attacks.

We are in trouble, folks. I'll bet my bottom dollar that if Islamists were not controlling the key events in the Paris Riots, they have for sure inflitrated by now - they have found a ready-made army, capable of overthrowing the French goverment. Jordan has been viciously assaulted. India is under constant attack; now reaching into the capital. Indonesia is roiling. There is a war on, and like the Nazis, the Islamists are moving so quickly that know one will know what happened until it is over; and the new caliphate has arisen.

And the media continues, furiously, to poison the well - weaking our President; weakening our troops, blasting away at the country's morale with each terrorist "victory".

This is not going to be easy...

The al-Qaida claim, which could not be independently verified, said Jordan became a target because it was "a backyard garden for the enemies of the religion, Jews and crusaders ... a filthy place for the traitors ... and a center for prostitution."...
...the attacks put the United States on notice that the "backyard camp for the crusader army is now in the range of fire of the holy warriors."

A center for prostitution? I missed that one...

French Media: Dancing as Fast as They Can...

...If you think that French media are downplaying the extent of the actual violence and damage, you are right. Quite a bit of hard news is not being reported both by design and by the circumstances on the ground. State TV has already decided to stop repeating the number of cars burned every day and film crews (particularly white French film crews) are being chased from the suburbs after having their vehicles and equipment torched...

Callers on talk radio are starting to reveal what MSM is censuring: the racist, Islamist nature of the ongoing uprising.

State TV has already manipulated reports, albeit hamfistedly. The most notable example was the bait-and-switch reports about the handicapped woman doused with gasoline and burned by rioters. The Socialist Mayor of Noisy le Grand, speaking on France Culture radio yesterday morning claimed that in his city women were dragged from their cars by their hair and, for all intense and purposes, stoned by rampaging youths . He also reported that molotov cocktails were thrown into people's homes. He then asked the Army to intervene. The host, somewhat shocked that a Socialist mayor would use such language on a live State radio broadcast, stammered for a few seconds. The reports have since slipped into a French media memory hole.

This morning's reports are in from Paris, and they aren't looking so good - the AP reports:

Rioting by French youths spread to 300 towns overnight, and a 61-year-old man hurt in the violence died of his wounds...On Sunday night, vandals burned more than 1,400 vehicles, and clashes around the country left 36 police injured, setting a new high for overnight arson and violence since rioting started last month, national police chief Michel Gaudin told a news conference....
Arsonists burned two schools and a bus in the central city of Saint-Etienne and its suburbs, and two people were injured in the bus attack. Churches were set ablaze in northern Lens and southern Sete, he said.
In Colombes in suburban Paris, youths pelted a bus with rocks, sending a 13-month-old child to the hospital with a head injury, Hamon said, while a daycare center was burned in Saint-Maurice, another Paris suburb

Will they offer "land for peace", as they so often urged the Israelis, and allow some French suburbs to be handed over to the local imans for the imposition of Sharia law? Will they free some of the hundreds of hardened prisoners currently being held as a "gesture of goodwill?" Will they call for a multi-national peacekeeping force outside of Paris?

And what of the rest of Europe? Will they criticize the French if they resort to violence, in order to mollify their own restive Muslim populations, even though a jihadi victory in Paris could doom the rest of Western Europe to a century of dhimmitude? Is their allegience to PC thought so thorough that they will watch their civilization die for it? Or is just sheer cowardice, of the kind that allowed WWII and the Holocaust to happen? Churches, schools, social centers. police stations - no accident on the choice of targets, it is the very social frabic of French society that the young urban jihadis are destroying in their Paris Intifada. Will the weak will of Europe once again allow Fascism to cast its dark shadow over the world?

The French Surrender ?

Have the French, by essentially ceding territory (f0r years) to the Islamist suburban underclass, already dug themselves a hole from which they cannot escape?

Barbarians at the Gate!

The Paris Intifada has reached the city walls - the barbarians are at the gate; how long, if at all, can they be held back?

Youths set ablaze nearly 1,300 vehicles and torched businesses, schools and symbols of French authority, including post offices and provincial police stations, on the 10th consecutive night of unrest.
The violence took another alarming turn with attacks in the well-guarded French capital. Police said 35 cars were torched, most on the city's northern and southern edges.
In central Paris, gasoline bombs damaged three cars near Place de la Republique. Residents reported a loud explosion and flames.
"We were very afraid," said Annie Partouche, 55, who watched the cars burning from her apartment window. "We were afraid to leave the building."

What will happen, when the gates fall and the jihadis stream through the famed streets, to seat the new Grand Ayatollah? One thing is for sure; the French media won't be telling you the truth about it...via Rantburg:

...the french teevees interviewed the daughters of the disabled 56 years old woman who was set on fire in an attacked bus (and who wasn't muslim despite what has been said, her name is Joëlle Mallard), and offered two diverging versions about the religion of the victim.The France 3 channel first interviewed two girls with judeo-christian firstnames, Yaël (which incidentally is a jewish version of Joëlle) and Anastasia, who appear moved and disturbed during the interview. Theses two girls were also interviewed in newspaper, so there is no doubt they exist and are her daughters.
However, 30 minutes later, the TF1 and France 2 channels only talked about one daughter, and aired an interview with a girl named Fadella, who not only has a muslim first name, but also wears typically north african clothes (and is more casual in her interview, to the point some oversuspicious viewers thought she was an actress). No mention is made of Yaël and Anastasia.
What's disturbing is the idea of a possible manipulation. Did the two channels which only mentioned her muslim daughter intend to lessen the racist and "anti french" aspect of that attack, by "islamizing" the victim through her family?

Seems like the media is rooting the rioters on by disguising the true nature of the crimes that are being commited. That's "public service" for you! When Islamic law is being pronounced, what will they tell the public? From a commentator on the above post:

The real pearl was yesterday: in the FR3 TV there was a broadcast about "the inflitration of American society by evangelists". The problem of the day was not "the gauntlet thrown by the gangs and the islamits to French society" or "the infiltration of the French media by trotskits ie proponents of an undemocratic, fascist-like ideology"... Nooooo, the problem of the day was not muslims but evangelists, not France but America. There was more honesty in the Pravda of yore than in today's French media.

In Evreux, 60 miles west of Paris, five police officers and three firefighters were injured in clashes with youths who destroyed at least 50 vehicles, shops and businesses, a post office and two schools, authorities said.
"Rioters attacked us with baseball bats," said Philippe Jofres, a deputy fire chief, told France-2 television. "We were attacked with pickaxes. It was war."

UPDATE 5:50PM Nov 6th: Can anyone say "open warfare" yet?

Violence was renewed as darkness enveloped Paris. A police spokesman said gunmen among some 200 youths attacking police with stones and other objects in Grigny, south of Paris, fired at officers with shotguns, hitting 10 policemen.
Two officers were being treated in hospital, one with shot wounds to the throat, the other with wounds to a leg.

France: Bad to Worse

Widespread riots across impoverished areas of France took a malevolent turn in a ninth night of violence, as youths torched an ambulance and stoned medical workers coming to the aid of a sick person...Bands of youths also burned a nursery school, warehouses and more than 750 cars overnight as the violence that spread from the restive Paris suburbs to towns around France.
At the nursery school in Acheres, west of Paris, part of the roof was caved in, childrens' photos stuck to blackened walls, and melted plastic toys littered the floor.
The town had been previously untouched by the violence. Some residents demanded that the army be deployed, or that citizens rise up and form militias. At the school gate, the mayor tried to calm tempers.
"We are not going to start militias," Mayor Alain Outreman said

Yup, that nursery school sure has been oppressing those Muslims for far too long now! And the remark about wanting to form militias made me laugh, although that is certainly not an appropriate reaction.

....maybe the work of the meetings will produce rich fruit down the road in terms of more jobs and less poverty in the region. But for now, Americans are hearing more about Chavez and the protests, and a lot of other things, than they are about Latin American trade policy. And that's the way it is.

Pollsters: Lying to Achieve Desired Results?

Lots of headlines over the past few days about Bush's falling poll numbers; every new one has his approval rating at "its lowest level ever". Well, there is a reason for that - they are skewing the sample to achieve the desired result. Via Pejman on Chequer-Board:

The AP/Ipsos poll, which has Bush's approval rating at 37%, said its respondents self-identified 49% Dem and 40% Repub, yielding a nine-point differential favoring the Dems. This represents a 12-point swing in the electorate since 2004. Only 80% of the respondents in this poll were registered voters...while 13% of the respondents reported that they were unemployed (the current unemployment rate is about 5%-6%), and 31% said they were between the ages of 18-34 (this was the only age group that Sen. John Kerry carried in the last presidential election, and it actually voted in a much smaller percentage than that represented in this poll).

The ABC/Washington Post poll, which shows that Bush's approval rating is at 39%, saw its respondents break down thusly: 52% said they leaned toward the Dems, and 41% leaned toward the Repubs. That represents a 14-point swing since last year's elections.Will someone explain how the demographic breakdowns in these polls represent accurate pictures of the electorate, given what we know about the 2004 election (and the 2002 mid-terms)?

Amazing. Registered Republicans outregister Democrats (by about 2%, granted) in the US at the current time, yet the polls above are over-sampling Democrats by almost 20%. They are over-representing both the young and unemployed, and in the insane AP poll above, have 20% of their overall sample as unregistered voters!

But maybe some kudos to the pollsters are in order here. They know that only anti-Bush news will get the headlines; so they are crafting the results to get the attention they crave. Our media ignores the horrendous methodology here, because they are being told what they want to hear. Facts don't matter, only conclusions reaching the results they desire.

Forgot the lessons of the forged CBS Bush memos already, boys? I have a feeling you will be re-learning it shortly...

Muslim Offensive Continues Apace in Europe

MultiCulturalism - New Jersey Style!

OK, this might be a breach of blogging etiquiette, but I'm going to excerpt a comment recieved on a post in which I blasted multiculturalism...

Its implications are obvious - multiculturalism is a non-working social model. When you immigrate to a new society, to a certain degree you must conform to its norms. {my words - ed.}

That kind of attitude explains a lot about Americans - if it is typical of the kind of attitude that prevails. A word in thine ear, small isolated, and frightened friend...
I was sitting at the traffic lights outside our local intermediate school yesterday. Crossing the road on the pedestrian phase were two young lasses, about 9 or 10. They met up at the school gate with another and skipped into school with their arms round each others shoulders. The two crossing the road; one was white and blonde, the other Chinese. The third waiting at the gate was African. Truly, that sight gave me great joy.

OK, let me come out, shaking, from under my rock in New Jersey, and let me tell you how I see the world around me...

I live in a community of around 100 homes. Although the plurality of the families here are white, they are by no means a majority. There is a mix of Asian, black, and Indian families here, and even "white" is a misnomer, as there are many first generation Americans here, Russians and Italians whom were born in the "old country" but now are American citizens. Every weekend there is something different going on in people's homes - people celebrating baptisms, others celebrating the Sabbath, the Indians celebrating...well, whatever it is they party about. Everything is accepted, there is little whispering about this "type" of person or that, and everyone is relatively comfortable.

You know why?

Because everyone here has accepted American ideals and the American way. They are middle class folk whom work, raise families, keep their homes, and strive to give their children the best life possible. Everyone comes with their own set of traditions and perhaps values, and they celebrate them, but within the confines of American norms.

Now, what do you think would happen if we had a neighbor whom insisted that pigs were offensive to him and his people, and they must not be used as decorations or eaten anywhere in the community. European MultiCulti sensibilities would insist that I change for him, thereby showing my sensitivity.

Bullsh*t. My hypothetical neighbor has no right to ask me to change for him. As long as no one is preventing him from practicing his religion freely, he has no further rights, no further claims on my life and my culture's beliefs. If you cannot accept that aspect of American culture, than you do not belong here.

So maybe, gentle commenter, you heart is filled with joy when you see expressions of what you call multiculturalism. Should I have been overjoyed this morning, packed onto a subway train, stuffed between an Asian, a black, and two Hasidic Jews? Sorry, I wasn't, I was annoyed at being crowded so. Never really considered the ethnicities of those squeezed against me, because it didn't matter. We were all going to work, or to school, or off to do something...American, even if that means simply celebrating oneself in peace.

And that is the amazing success of my New Jersey Multiculturalism. A melting pot so complete that I do not even notice the ethnicities of my neighbors/friends/fellow commuters. Adopt it, or leave us!

On ABC's "Good Morning America," Linda Douglass reported that Sam Alito "is another white male." ... I wonder, if Janice Rogers Brown { a black female conservative - ed.} had been nominated, would reporters like Linda Douglass have been more impressed? Of course not. Speaking of Gibson, he said that Alito was "very conservative." I don't know what this means. But more importantly, given that Gibson probably hasn't read a single opinion authored by Alito, he's speaking from talking points.

Paris - The New Beriut?

Riots continue for a fourth night in Paris, and French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy tries dhimmitude to bring about the peace:

Sarkozy defended his tough crime policies on Monday after a fourth night of riots in a Paris suburb in which tear gas was fired into a mosque.
Sarkozy, addressing police officers, vowed to find how tear gas had been fired into the Muslim place of worship, an incident which had helped fuel the disturbances

"helped fuel"? This is the media making excuses for Muslim anti-social violence; not unlike how Isreal "helps fuel" the "cycle of violence" by having the nerve to fight back. I'm sure there was a good reason to fire the tear gas; better than bullets, no? But Sarkozy keeps begging:

French television said six police officers were hurt and 11 people arrested in violence partly fueled by the incident at the mosque. Sarkozy promised an inquiry.
"I am, of course, available to the imam of the Clichy mosque to let him have all the details in order to understand how and why a tear gas bomb was sent into this mosque," he told about 170 police officers at the prefecture

How about an inquiry onto how the police officers got injured?
Now it's "partly fueled"? That's a flat-out lie by CNN here. This is the fourth day of rioting, remember?

The violence began four days ago after the deaths of two teenagers, believed to be of African origin, who were electrocuted after clambering into a power sub-station while apparently fleeing police.
Sarkozy offered to meet the youths' parents but it was unclear if the meeting would take place, aides said.

Sarkozy is being a good multicultural dhimmi. Instead of meeting with the families of the dead teenagers, how about the families of the injured police officers? How about investigating why these boys were running from the police, instead of investigating why the officers had to defend themselves?

I've lived through this, during the dark days of this in New York, when multiculturalist Mayor David Dinkins paid for/attended the funeral of a drug dealer shot dead by police. It only begot the Crown Heights riots, and an overall dramatic increase in crime, that did not abate until Rudy "Cowboy" Guliani came to town. The race-baiters were shut out, the criminals pursued and arrested, the cops defended. Now New York is one of the safest cities in the world, for people of all races/colors...

Taking notes, Mr. Sarkozy? You should be...

France's Race Riots! Shhhh...

Great Britian is an example of the cancer of political correctness eating away at a once vibrant body. Now watch, as the whole liberal theory unravels before your eyes - Melanie Phillips is our narrator:

If this had been white on black violence, there would have been a media feeding frenzy and the newspapers would have been full of reconstructions, analysis and instant opinions and recriminations. Instead, there has been near silence. The reason is obvious. The cult of multiculturalism holds that all minorities are victims of the majority, and therefore minorities must always be blameless. When two minorities start beating each other up, therefore, politically correct Britain is paralysed. By definition, it cannot divide up the actors in the drama into good guys and bad guys. There can be no minority bad guys. It dare not investigate what actually happened, who started it and who was to blame because no minority can ever be blamed without incurring the dreaded labels of ‘racism’ and ‘prejudice’.

And our progressive betters help society thusly:

The result is that a serious and dangerous breakdown in community relations has not been investigated or analysed, the murder of two innocent people has been treated with near-indifference and the implications for multiculturalism all but ignored
