Over at the Huffington Post, the "Rabbi to the Stars", Shmuley Boteach, reports from AIPAC on Obama's speech to the influential Jewish group:
President Obama's speech at AIPAC straddled the line of Jackie Mason standup. It turns out that when the president said last Thursday that Israel should return to its '67 borders, it wasn't exactly what he meant. Who said I was referring to 1967. I meant 1867. And even 1867, I didn't mean CE, I meant BCE. And why did you assume I was talking about Israel's border. I was talking about French Guyana's borders.
This was the first time in my life that I ever felt sorry for Barack Obama, an incongruous sentiment for a man so talented and who also just happens to be the most powerful man in the world. Why did he elicit my sympathy? Because you could see in both his body language and utter absence of passion that he had been defeated. The president dithered, bobbed and weaved. He came into a room filled with 10,000 pro-Israel activists knowing that he blew it, not just with the American Jewish community but with history as well.
For months Arab democracy has been breaking out all over the world. President Obama had yet to give one major policy speech on this unprecedented uprising. Yet, when he finally chose to do so and thus recapture the traditional American president's epitaph as 'Leader of the Free World,' he could not help but insert a highly inflammatory line about Israel that was immediately seized upon by the world's media, thereby extinguishing the speech's other content. And even on the Israel front he was forced to so dilute the '67 border statement that it became utterly meaningless.
The president's explanation at AIPAC was that he had no idea that the '67 borders line was going to be so inflammatory.
"My position has been misrepresented... If there is a controversy, then, it's not based in substance.... What I did on Thursday was to say publicly what has long been acknowledged privately."
But the president's claims to naiveté are ridiculous. To his detractors, the president is many things. But he is no fool. He knew full well that being the first American president to publicly call for a return to the '67 lines was a bomb waiting to detonate.
So why did Obama say it? Why did he personally insist on including it?
I believe the answer to this question speaks directly to the growing mistrust that American Jewry, who gave the president 78% of its vote in 2008, has for Obama and why Democratic Jewish donor purses are closing.
Stated simply, this president has a strange obsession with Israel....
So the influential Shmuley seems to believe that Obama is a liar and a fool, with a strange (perhaps dangerous?) obsession with Israel. Harsh. Although if Shmuley read this blog, he would know that Obama's view towards the Middle East is a toxic brew of anti-semitism and a growing hatred of Benjamin Netanyahu.
American Jews are in a pickle. If they close their pocketbooks, as Shmuley intimates may be the case, then they have no protection at all against the wrath of Barack Hussein Obama. The anti-Semitic instinct can run wild, and with Samantha Power whispering in his ear and Hillary Clinton willing to sell out any and all for five more minutes of access to power, Israel (and American Jews) can find themselves in a dangerous place.
And what if the Jews fall for Obama's clumsy love sonnets, like the one Shmuley saw through at AIPAC? (like many an Arab, Obama speaks out of both sides of his mouth - offering reassurances to Israel, while plotting her destruction with Hamas). Jen Rubin offers a stark warning:
But there is a reality that can’t be avoided. This president once again has proved an apt negotiator on behalf of the Palestinians and a thorn in Israel’s side. Now is a time of choosing for the American Jewish community, for Israel and for Congress. And if Obama should be reelected in 2012 one can only imagine how hostile he will become toward the Jewish state.
Will American Jews sacrifice their homeland in order to abide by their political allegiances?
Based on what I see at synagogue, alas, the answer will be yes. But if that support drops from 78% to closer to 50%, not only will Obama lose Florida, but he will wind up on the defensive in many Blue States as well, costing him precious resources, regardless of how many billions he gets from unions and Big Pharma.
Let's see if there are enough "smart Jews" in America to save Israel....

Putin Goes To Israel While Obama Pouts
You don't have to be best friends with Israel to realize their strategic importance, as well as their contribution to anti-Islamic intelligence and weapons technology. Plus, their economy is going gangbusters. Vladimir Putin is no ally of the Jewish state, but even he is smart enough to recognize the need to stop by and say hello every now and then:
Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to make his first official visit to Israel since 2005, although the exact date for the visit has not yet been determined, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
...Foreign Minster Avigdor Liberman met with Putin in Moscow in December.
According to a communiqué put out by Liberman’s office following the December meeting, he told Putin that Israel and Russia had different positions on a range of issues, from the diplomatic process with the Palestinians to current developments in the region, but that he hoped Israel’s position on matters such as Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas would get a hearing in Moscow.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Liberman said Russia’s support for unilateral Palestinian moves does not bring an agreement closer or improve relations between Israel and the Palestinians....
With that, Liberman said ties between the countries are “very positive” 20 years after the renewal of diplomatic relations between them, and that this was manifest in an ongoing political dialogue, in economic and cultural ties and in keeping alive the memory of the Holocaust.
Seems like there's a pretty wide gulf, actually, between Israel and Russia, yet Putin will be visiting with Bibi nevertheless. So where is Barack Obama, leader of the nation that once claimed to be Israel's greatest ally?
He's sulking like a bitch:
But though President Obama was willing to go to Israel while running for president in 2008, his deep dislike for Netanyahu has led him to avoid it since then. Though he spent his first three years in office picking fights with Israel, his deliberate avoidance of Israel in June 2009 when he spoke to the Arab world from Cairo (and made an insulting comparison between the Holocaust and the plight of the Palestinians) was resented even more than some of his comments about Jerusalem and the 1967 lines....
Those Democrats who have attempted to claim that Obama is Israel’s best friend ever in the White House — a claim that has been met with hilarity by many American Jews and incredulity by Israelis — the fact that Putin is going to Israel this summer while Obama still avoids it makes this argument even less credible.
Prediction: Obama attempts a visit to Israel sometime in the fall to shore up his Jewish base
Possible Outcomes:
A) Obama's can't go, as Israel is at war with Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, and the two-legged animals that live in -Gaza after bombing the Iranian nuclear sites.
B) Netanyahu jerks him around, not wanting to be used as a re-election prop for an anti-Semite
C) Obama goes and commits some unforgivable gaffe
D) Obama goes, but the trip is widely seen as it is - a desperate re-election ploy by an insincere man - and it winds up hurting him more than helping him.
I'd bet on D, unless it is pre-empted by A. Either way, you can expect that once Bibi and Vladimir get together, there will be much derision directed at a certain think-skinned, intellectually weak, incredibly naive leader of a once-great power....

Obama Blames Ignorant Jews For His Own Anti-Semitism
Jews have been called many things - so many things - but our brilliant President has come up with a new insult that even the most rabid Jew-hater dared not use, for fear of being laughed out of the Bund:
Ignorant.
How else to describe his "understanding" of the Jews recent disenchantment with his presidency?
During the interview Wednesday, when confronted with the anxiety that some Israelis feel toward him, Obama said that “some of it may just be the fact that my middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion.”
OK, that must explain it. Because it can't be his policies - because his policies are His policies, they must be by nature brilliant, and the only problem can be people's inability to comprehend his greatness. Like the opposition to health care reform.
The New York Post takes President Douchebag to task:
Of course, there might be other reasons why Israelis and their supporters view Obama with suspicion. Such as:
* His public humiliation last March of Bejamin Netanyahu at the White House, when Obama walked out of their talks to go have dinner with his family, leaving Israel's prime minister alone for over an hour, and then refused to release even a photo of their meeting.
* His disturbing comparison, during that "outreach" speech to the Arab world in Cairo, of the Palestinians' "daily humiliations" and "intolerable" situation to the Nazi Holocaust.
* His administration's public demand that Israeli leaders "demonstrate not just through words but through specific actions that they are committed to this relationship and to the peace process" -- a demand Sen. Chuck Schumer labeled "terrible" and "counterproductive."
* His continued push for closer US ties with Syria -- an ally of Iran, state sponsor of terrorism and major backer of both Hamas and Hezbollah.
* His decision to join the farcical UN Human Rights Council -- which devotes most of its time to denouncing Israel.
The Post is going easy on Obama. See here for a more compete list of offenses against Israel and the Jews, each carried out with knowing contempt. If he were a Republican, Democrats would be waling around with pictures of Barack with Hitler's brush mustache. Oh wait - they already are...
But over at Contentions, Pete Wehner smacks down Barack Hussein Obama like the common street-variety anti-Semite that he so clearly is:
These statements combine some of Obama’s worst traits: arrogance, condescension, and detachment from reality.
Obama regards himself much like a teacher who oversees a classroom of sometimes unruly, sometimes dim-witted children. His magnificence is sometimes hidden from them. And so it is left for America’s philosopher-king to explain — in simply, easy-to-understand words — why things are the way they are.
In this instance, the anxiety Israel feels toward for Obama is not rooted in his unwise policies or his disgraceful past treatment of the Israeli prime minister. No, the cause is Obama’s middle name.
In addition, Israelis are a bit too dull to see the miracles that have resulted from Barack the Great’s outreach to the “Muslim world.”
The truth is that whatever Obama’s outreach to the Muslim community is designed to do, it has — as Jen points out — been a complete failure. Israel’s wariness toward Obama is rooted in his pursuit of an agenda that is as harmful to Israel. But all of this is beyond the realm of comprehension for Obama. For him, it all comes down to his middle name. We have rarely, if ever, seen self-delusion on a scale quite like this.
How self-delusional? Who can say? But I will say we haven't seen the worst of Barack Obama yet, and I stand by a piece of earlier analysis:
Obama's policy vis-a-vis Israel is the greatest Audacity yet. Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim/not Muslim, is hoping to succeed where mullahs, Middle East dictators, terrorist Chairman, and Kings, Princes, and madman have failed.
He believes he can bring Israel to her knees before him.
No wonder they hate you.
They should.
Ignorant.

Obama vs. Netanyahu: This Time (Like Last Time), It's Personal
How much of Barack Obama's increasingly insane policies towards Israel are rooted in a personal dislike of his ideological antipode, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu? The call for Israel to return to pre-1967 borders was one he knew would be immediately rejected by Bibi, while simultaneously giving the Palestinians the football on the Israeli ten-yard line, leaving little to no negotiating room for the Jewish State.
To Obama, solving the Palestinian/Israeli conflict would be proof-positive of both his personal greatness as well as a affirmation of his worldview. But his method - Chicago-style thug politics - were not going to work on the Israelis, who face death every time they pay bus fare.
Remember the tactics?
Obama Fails To Force Netanyahu To Crawl...
....Obama's policy vis-a-vis Israel is the greatest Audacity yet. Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim/not Muslim, is hoping to succeed where mullahs, Middle East dictators, terrorist Chairman, and Kings, Princes, and madman have failed.
He believes he can bring Israel to her knees before him.
He tried, earlier this week:
The Israeli prime minister arrived at the White House on Tuesday evening brimming with confidence that the worst of the crisis in his country's relationship with the United States was over.
But Mr Obama was less inclined to be so conciliatory. He immediately presented Mr Netanyahu with a list of 13 demands designed both to the end the feud with his administration and to build Palestinian confidence ahead of the resumption of peace talks. Key among those demands was a previously-made call to halt all new settlement construction in east Jerusalem.
When the Israeli prime minister stalled, Mr Obama rose from his seat declaring: "I'm going to the residential wing to have dinner with Michelle and the girls."
As he left, Mr Netanyahu was told to consider the error of his ways. "I'm still around," Mr Obama is quoted by Israel's Yediot Ahronot newspaper as having said. "Let me know if there is anything new"
There wasn't. So Obama refused to pose for photos with Bibi. Big man, our president.
So what has happened since? Settlements have continued, the Palestinians - having felt that they were thrown under a bus by Obama, having made demands he couldn't enforce - have now gone all-in on terrorism, and Obama has rewarded them. Is it all just spittle in the face of Benjamin Netanyahu? Just more of Obama "punishing his enemies"? A childish act of frustration by a president who can't get his way?
Funny, I wrote last month about the Barack v. Bibi brawl, calling it a "mismatch" a la Mike Tyson vs. Glass Joe. Seems like Obama is still itching for payback any way he can get it, even if it means threatening the national security of the entire nation of Israel.
One might call it an "audacious gamble" by Obama, especially with Netanyahu coming to town next week to address Congress and Jewish supporters. To me, it smells like more of the same amateur, peevish behavior from the most immature president since either Clinton or JKF.
Does Obama believe this time, unlike last time, he can force Bibi to crawl? Unlikely. Expect Netanyahu to coolly reject Obama's demands, again, and take his case to a supportive Congress and American people. And once again, he will emerge victorious, further enraging the bitch-in-Chief, and perhaps leading him to contemplate a first-strike on behalf of the poor, oppressed, Palestinian people.
But what about that fat Jewish cash? Ah, that's a subject for another post...

Obama: "Disgusted" With Israel; Preparing To Challenge God...
What does it take to upset Barack Obama? Not Iranian nukes, we know that. Or the fact that the Russians are helping the Iranians, as opposed to helping us.
Well, we know Obama got worked into a dither when the Honduran people legally deposed a despot in training, an avowed socialist who was intent on building a Chavez-like reign of terror. And now we know it is those pesky Jews that annoy him as well, since they refuse to kowtow to his demand that they stop settlement-building in the West Bank (In the age of Obama, only The One and his minions can decide where Jews are allowed to live).
Well, annoy is the wrong word...Barack Obama is apparently disgusted that the Jews continue to demand the right to survive:
U.S. officials in recent days expressed to the Palestinian Authority that President Obama's administration is "disgusted" with Israel, a top aide to PA President Mahmoud Abbas told WND in an interview.
Nimr Hamad said the White House was disgusted that Israel is refusing to halt all settlement activity as a precondition for re-starting talks with the PA over the creation of a Palestinian state
Hamad repeated that the term "disgusted" was used more than once in recent meetings with U.S. envoys to describe the administration's attitude toward Israel. Hamad did not name the U.S. envoys using the terminology.
George Mitchell, Obama's envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, just this week wrapped up a series of meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders over re-starting talks.
Senior PA sources told WND yesterday the Obama administration urged them to begin publicly pressuring Israel, starting in March, to immediately withdraw from key areas in the West Bank and peripheral eastern Jerusalem sections in which the Palestinians currently maintain administrative control.
Did George Mitchell relay this information to the PA - that Obama is now officially disgusted with the Jews, is ready to take the PA's side in the battle for Israel, and intends to force Israel to relinquish key security checkpoints that has kept the nation free from the non-stop civilian attacks that defined the Clinton years?
OK, the Palis are not necessarily known for their truth telling. But Barack Obama has been particularly known for barely being able to keep his festering anti-semitism under wraps. (see here for his love of Honduran anti-Semites, click here to see him honoring European anti-Semites, over here we have him trying to name Jew-haters to key administration posts, and please let's not forget his 20-year association with the Reverend of Hate, Jeremiah Wright, to whom Jew-baiting was a regular Sunday sport. And this is just a small sample...).
So is it believable that this man, who would hire, support, and pray with rabid Jew-haters, would become easily "disgusted" with the state of Israel for daring to rebuke his authority over them? Hell yeah.
One wonders if Israel can survive four years of an American president who openly sides with her enemies. One wonders as well if America can survive four years as an enemy of Israel.
Believer or not, one thing has happened to all the regimes and peoples who have taken on the Jews: They have been vanquished. Ask the Romans, the ancient Egyptians, the Nazis, or the Palestinians...
Or ask God:
Zech 12:2 I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. V3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves....
Genesis 12: I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.
Barack Obama: On the wrong side of history; on the wrong side of God. Will he drag our faithful nation down to hell with him? Remember, it was Lucifier's pride that led him to challenge the throne....

Well, Of Course The "Rabbis For Obama" Hate Israel...
...why else would they support the most anti-Israel (and anti-Semetic) president ever?
So Obama found 600 credentialed Jewish schmucks to sign on to his re-election effort. Like that's a shock; most "mainstream" (secular) Jews feel greater affinity for the Democratic party than the Jewish state, and to the word of Obama over the Word of God.
And naturally, Obama missed this layup, as word got out that some of his most rabid rabbinical supporters were less-than-kosher:
Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb is a member of the advisory board and rabbinical council of Jewish Voices for Peace, a nice-sounding title for a far-left radical group that opposes Israeli self-defense, supports the boycott of Israel (and by this, they mean all of Israel, not just the settlements) and promotes an idea of peace in which Arab refugees may swamp Israel consistent with its indifference to the survival of it as a Jewish state.
Gottlieb...previously earned the opprobrium of the Jewish community by speaking at a 2007 dinner in New York Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Anti-Defamation League lists Jewish Voices for Peace as one of the “top ten anti-Israel groups” in the nation.
So a total of 2% of the "Rabbis for Obama" turn out to be part of a hate group. 2% that we know of so far. If Romney, in an attempt to emulate the divisive tribalism of the Obama campaign, put together a "Blacks for Mitt" campaign, and it was found out that at least 8 of them were self-hating Klansman, well...you can bet the media would be having a field day.
Although underneath the sound of crickets, I thought I heard a deep sigh heaved from within a stack of unread newspapers...
Or maybe, as we posit, this simply is a "dog bites man" story. Even the media has got to be aware that a Jew voting for Barack Obama is like the chicken voting for Colonel Sanders, and that any group of useful idiots like "Rabbis for Obama" would be filled with...idiots. Like Lynn Gottlieb and her cohorts at JVP.
Still, it's valuable to know exactly what kind of Jews - and, more importantly, rabbis - are supporting the re-election campaign of Barack Hussein Obama: Israel deniers, self-haters, and left-wing whack-jobs.
But what about the rest of us? What about the growing power and population of the Orthodox movement?
You'll hear more about us after Obama loses in November. Because the Democrats will need to blame someone for their defeat (as it is never their governing positions). Who better than...those disloyal, money-grubbing, deceitful, ungrateful Jews?
Bet on it. And watch whose side Lynn Gottlieb will be on...
And so there was much indignation, and a demand that Barack distance himself from this so-called "rabbi". But with a little bit more digging, we see Lynn Gottlieb is not the only worm in Obama's hand-picked Jewish apple. Turns out that...she is, in fact, only one of eight members of JVP’s rabbinic council to appear on the list of Rabbis for Obama.
Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb and her fellow rabbis from JVP? And yes, a disproportionate amount of the JVP's board are female...
Leaked image of "The American Jew", as portrayed by the Democrats circa January 2013...
Bet on it. And watch whose side Lynn Gottlieb will be on...

Obama Administration: "An Israeli Victim of Terror? No Such Thing!"
Some "best friend". No wonder Israel is entertaining other suitors...
Some noted last month that Obama agreed to exclude Israel from a global counter-terrorism forum held in Istanbul, bowing to a demand from Turkey’s Islamist Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan. But it seems as if Obama likes to have his people operate without those pesky Jews around. Reality is such as buzzkill, especially for a president and administration that works outside of it.
So Israel wasn’t invited to the second session of the counter-terrorism forum held yesterday in Spain, either. And the Obama administration took advantage of their forced absence to commit quite the affront to the Jews:
Maria Otero, Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, delivered a speech at the Spanish conclave titled “Victims of Terrorism.” But not only was an Israeli delegation not present when she spoke, but during her address, Otero never even mentioned the experience of Israeli terror victims. Though Otero’s anti-terrorist sentiments were unexceptionable, the exclusion of Israel, one of the primary targets of international terrorists and among the leading experts in how to deal with the problem, was clearly intentional. As Kredo noted, the State Department spokesperson refused to answer when asked about the omission of Israel from the speech and the conference....
All this, as we approach the 50th anniversary of the Munich Massacre, another event that Obama, along with the United Nations and Olympic Committee, have sworn to ignore.
This is not the first time Obama or his flacks have played this game. he tried out the "Israel? What's an Israel?" bit shortly after the devestating Haiti earthquake of 2010, when he refused to acknowledge the Israeli involvement in the rescue & recovery operation:
[Obama] noted that, in addition to assistance from the United States, significant aid had also come from "Brazil, Mexico, Canada, France, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic, among others." Am I missing another country that truly weighed in with truly consequential assistance? Ah, yes. There it is. Right there "among others." Yes, the country to which I refer is "among others," that one.
The fact is that, next to our country, Israel sent the largest contingent of trained rescue workers, doctors, and other medical personnel. The Israeli field hospital was the only one on the ground that could perform real surgery, which it did literally hundreds of times, while delivering--as of last week--at least 16 babies, including one premature infant and three caesarians. The first 250-odd Israelis were real professionals, and they were supplemented by others, also professionals. And to these can be added the many organized Jews from the Diaspora who, in solidarity with Israel, also went on a work pilgrimage, an aliyah, in solidarity with Haiti.
It's not that Israeli participation in the Haiti horror was being kept secret. I myself saw it reported several times on television—on ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN.
So didn't Obama notice? For God's sake, everybody noticed the deep Israeli involvement...
Of course he noticed. But as a raging, hate-filled anti-Semite (see links here), he can no sooner acknowledge Israel's greatness (or pain), than a Palestinian can acknowledge a Jews' right to exist.
And that is so very, very sad, that I cannot even comment on it any further today. All I will say is that every Jew who votes for Barack Hussein Obama in 2012 will deserve what's to come, and will have the blood of his actions on their hands...

Barack Obama and Israel: Living the Dream!
....the dream of liberals worldwide, of course. More than putting "daylight" between the United States and Israel, Obama has jumped upon the flimsiest of excuses - a nation building homes in its own capital - to degenerate the Jewish nation in a way unprecedented in American history.
Anti-semitism, cloaked in anti-Zionism, has been the coin of the liberal realm for some time. And the further left you go, the deeper the hatred for the Jewish state, and the more reflexive the instinct is to react with hostility towards them, and blame them for all the world's ills.
And yet, there are some that are surprised by the Obama administration's insanely hostile response to the Jerusalem housing fiasco. Not here. Obama has been building up to this moment for some time, with a number of nasty little actions - he's threatened to pull loan guarantees for Israel, he honored raging anti-Semite Mary Robinson with a Medal of Freedom, acknowledged every nation's effort in Haiti except Israel's (the one nation that arguably did the most), he refused to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu, he selected anti-Semite Charles Freeman to chair the National Intelligence Council (before "un-selecting" him), and let's not forget his strong support for ousted Honduran leftist Manuel Zelaya, an anti-Semite par excellence.
This storm was brewing in Obama's gut for some time...back in October:
U.S. officials in recent days expressed to the Palestinian Authority that President Obama's administration is "disgusted" with Israel, a top aide to PA President Mahmoud Abbas told WND in an interview...Palestinianstate envoy...(Abbas aide) Nimr Hamad repeated that the term "disgusted" was used more than once in recent meetings with U.S. envoys to describe the administration's attitude toward Israel.
I wrote this back in January:
Obama feels he can bully Israel, because they're a democracy in danger, and force them to his will, despite the cost in Jewish lives.
It would seem to be (unfortunately) bearing out before our eyes. But maybe I was wrong, and what was perceived as bad foreign policy is more than that; it's destructive full-blown anti-Semitism at the helm of America. Caroline Glick:
Anyone who paid the slightest attention to who Barack [short for Barakeh in Arabic] Obama is before he was elected knew full well that this man is an enemy of Israel. He was a member of an ardently anti-Semitic church for more than two decades. His friends ranged from virulently anti-Israel and anti-Jewish like Edward Said, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayres, Jeremiah Wright, Samantha Power and Susan Rice — among others — to radically post-Zionist like Arnie Wolf, Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod not to mention Joe Biden.
Given his pedigree, no one should have been surprised that Obama has chosen to stir up a crisis in his relations with Israel.
No surprise here. Let's see if the American Jewish community is as smart as it thinks it is, and can wake up before it's too late. Remember, we didn't in Nazi Germany...

Barack Obama Stars In: "Betrayal: The Sequel"
It was only Monday that the president of the United States was caught begging the leader of Russia for a little more time, a little more "flexibility", so he could met their terms of surrender. But not content with committing an act of treason against the greatest nation on earth, whose people entrusted him to lead and protect them, Barack Obama decided to betray America's closest ally: The tiny, perpetually endangered state of Israel.
Two reports today about Iran's nuclear program and the possibility of an Israeli military strike have analysts in Israel accusing the Obama administration leaking information to pressure Israel not to bomb Iran and for Iran to reach a compromise in upcoming nuclear talks.
The first report in Foreign Policy quotes anonymous American officials saying that Israel has been given access to airbases by Iran's northern neighbor Azerbaijan from which Israel could launch air strikes or at least drones and search and rescue aircraft.
The second report from Bloomberg, based on a leaked congressional report, said that Iran's nuclear facilities are so dispersed that it is "unclear what the ultimate effect of a strike would be…" A strike could delay Iran as little as six months, a former official told the researchers.
"It seems like a big campaign to prevent Israel from attacking," analyst Yoel Guzansky at the Institute for National Security Studies told ABC News. "I think the [Obama] administration is really worried Jerusalem will attack and attack soon. They're trying hard to prevent it in so many ways."
The Foreign Policy report by Mark Perry quotes an intelligence officer saying, "We're watching what Iran does closely…But we're now watching what Israel is doing in Azerbaijan. And we're not happy about it."
Via Ynet, respected Israeli defense analyst Ron Ben-Yishai pulls no punches:
Indeed, in recent weeks the Administration shifted from persuasion efforts vis-Ã -vis decision-makers and Israel’s public opinion to a practical, targeted assassination of potential Israeli operations in Iran.
The US Administration recently shifted into high gear in its efforts to avert an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities by the end of the year. The flood of reports in the American media in recent weeks attests not only to the genuine US fear that Israel intends to realize its threats; moreover, it indicates that the Obama Administration has decided to take its gloves off.
The first and most important American objective is to eliminate potential operational options available to the IDF and the State of Israel...it is blatantly clear that reports in the past week alone have caused Israel substantive diplomatic damage, and possibly even military and operational damage.
Another Administration objective is to convince the Israeli public that an Iran strike (including a US attack) will not achieve even the minimum required to justify it; that is, a delay of at least 3-5 years in Iran’s nuclear program.
The third objective of the recent publications is to scare the Israeli public via an apocalyptic account of possible retaliation by Iran and its “clients.” This effort also aims to press Israeli decision-makers not to act...
Iran now has a decent picture of what Israel’s and America’s intelligence communities know about Tehran’s nuclear program and defense establishment, including its aerial defenses.
The targeted assassination campaign currently undertaken by the US government also sharply contradicts President Obama’s declaration at the AIPAC Conference, whereby he and the US recognize Israel’s sovereign right to defend itself by itself. One cannot utter these words and a moment later exposes Israel’s vulnerabilities and possible strike routes to its enemies.
Shocked at this betrayal, Mr. Ben-Yishai ? Welcome to the club. We are under this sick man's yoke for another eight months, but your people have no such obligation. Untether yourselves from our fate now; we will forgive you and your people once this cloud has passed. I promise...

Why Do Progressives Love The Muslim Brotherhood?
Because they both hate Israel. And Jews.
No wonder Barack Obama has been empowering and voicing support for a new Egyptian government featuring the Muslim Brotherhood. They are, after all, in agreement on the true force of evil in the Middle East: The tiny Jewish democratic state known as Israel.
The Brotherhood speaks:
A political leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Thursday called on any government that replaces Hosni Mubarak’s regime to withdraw from the 32-year-old peace treaty with Israel.
“After President Mubarak steps down and a provisional government is formed, there is a need to dissolve the peace treaty with Israel,” Rashad al-Bayoumi, a deputy leader of the outlawed movement, said on Japan’s NHTV
More, from a different mouthpiece:
A spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt on Thursday evening repeatedly refused to commit to maintaining the peace treaty with Israel, or even recognizing Israel, if the Brotherhood becomes a player in the future governance of Egypt.
Asked on CNN if his organization would support the maintenance of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, Mohamed Morsy, a spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, dodged a direct answer but said Israel had failed to honor the treaty...
Asked next if an Egypt with a Muslim Brotherhood component in government would even recognize the state of Israel, Morsy again evaded a direct answer despite being pressed several times....
And from the Egyptian on the street:
“All of us hate Israel,” said Muhammad, who is a lecture assistant in the engineering faculty at a government university in Cairo....
But he cautioned that Egypt needed to concentrate on its internal politics before dealing with the problem of Israel.
“Regarding Israel, Egypt has a peace agreement with Israel and any new government should respect that agreement,” Muhammad said. “However, if the government wanted to change that agreement, it has the right after taking the opinion of the people. No agreement is eternal.”
"All of us hate Israel" - how true is that? Well, it is certainly true of the Egyptian government functionaries - of which this "lecturer" is an adjunct member - but how willing are the Egyptian people going to be to go from revolution to war, armed with camels and cudgels?
And what does this say about Barack Obama's support for the Muslim Brotherhood? Ask Robert Spencer, who knows a thing or two about this particular subject:
Now that Barack Obama has given a green light to Muslim Brotherhood participation in a new Egyptian government, it is unlikely that the organization will be kept out of power. And since the Brotherhood is the largest and most ideologically committed group in Egyptian politics, most likely it will end up in the driver’s seat in any new regime, and set the nation on course toward becoming an Islamic state.
Obama almost certainly knows all this, and yet approved of Brotherhood involvement anyway...
Whatever Barack Obama has planned for the Middle East, it certainly has little to do with democracy. Look at his track record - ignoring the massive Iranian protests, shrugging off the Tunisia revolution with a throwaway line, ignoring Hezbollah's increasing role in Lebanon, rewarding Syria's faithless tyrant Bashar al-Assad, supporting an anti-Semitic Islamic hate group to run a new Egyptian government...
If I was an Israeli, I'd be getting real nervous right about now. Which, no doubt, gives an almost orgasmic glee to Barack Obama and his cadres on the hard Left...

"Change" I Can Believe In !
Obama "changes" every five seconds, depending on who he's talking to...
Barack Obama has strongly backed Israel in his first foreign policy speech since becoming the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee...
Speaking to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, an influential pro-Israel lobbying group, Obama said, "Any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided."
In his address, Obama also faced head-on rumors that he is a Muslim and does not support the Jewish state, calling himself a "true friend of Israel."....
Uh huh. And do you want to see how fast Obama can "change" his tune on that?
....Obama's campaign backtracked on bombshell remarks he made Wednesday that Jerusalem should remain the "undivided" capital of Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post.
An aide later softened Obama's comments - which sparked anger in the Palestinian community - saying the sides will have to negotiate "an agreement that they both can live with."
The adviser explained that by an undivided Jerusalem, Obama did not mean that it wouldn't also serve as the Palestinian capital as well. The Jewish community balked at the news.
"The Orthodox Union is extremely disappointed in this revision of Senator Obama's important statement about Jerusalem," Nathan Diament, of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations, told the paper.
Get used to disappointment, Rabbi...me, I'd stick with Obama's "changed" view, which echos that of his anti-semetic pastor of twenty years...
Doesn't matter, and Obama is smart enough to know it. If Hitler rose from the 12th Rung of Hell from whence he dwells and captured the Democratic nomination (not terribly unlikely given the sentiments of the far-left element of the party), he would still likely capture 75% of the Jewish vote.
"What, you want me to vote for that Republican fellow? That Hitler guy, he may not be the best thing for the Jews, but he's sure right about socialized medicine and gun control...""
UPDATE: More waffling from the terrorist sympathizer -well, from his spokesman:
He refused, however, to rule out other configurations, such as the city also serving as the capital of a Palestinian state or Palestinian sovereignty over Arab neighborhoods.
I see.....

Don't Be Fooled: Obama Still Hating On Israel
No matter how hard he tries, Barack Obama keeps allowing the mask to slip. Yesterday, he spoke on a conference call to some 900+ rabbis, mostly of the Reform variety (preachin' to the choir, again). While boasting of his commitment to Israel, he made his faux pas:
Asked about the instability in Egypt and what the U.S. can do to ensure Israel's safety, Obama indicated that a re-ignition of the peace process could cool down the region.
"The most important thing we can do to stabilize the strategic situation for Israel is if we can actually resolve the Palestinian-Israeli crisis because that's what feeds so much of the tumult in Egypt," Obama said. "That's what I think has created the deep tension between Turkey and Israel and Turkey has historically been a friend and ally of Israel's. That's why we think direct negotiations are so critical."
And there we go again. Anything that goes wrong in the Middle East is Israel's responsibility. Not the fault of an Egyptian nation that has actually gone backwards since the pharoahs, not the fault of a new Turkish PM who has decide it will be he, not Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whom will lead the coming Islamic worldwide Caliphate. Not the fault of a Syrian dictator who slaughters his own people, nor the fault of an Iranian madman who is rapidly builing nuclear warheads, or even the gang of out-and-out thugs who control Gaza. No - according to Obama, all the Middle East's problems lay at the feet of the region's only democracy and smallest nation, the Jewish state.
Is there any surprise that most Jews see Obama's sudden conversion to staunch supporter of Israel - conveniently taken right after they handed him his head in NY-9 - as a cynical ploy, a head-fake, an attempt by a con man to hawk his dubious wares? Forget walking the walk, he can't even talk the talk without falling flat on his face...
And Bill Clinton is no better. He won't blame Israel as a nation, but like Obama has a deep seated hatred of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he now accuses of "killing" the peace process. If his harridan of a wife does decide to mount a primary challenge to Barack Obama, or take up the scepter of the throne should he abdicate, she'll have to answer for her husbands misguided hatereds, as well as her own...
The Democrats are the party of antisemitism. So deeply ingrained it is, especially within their educated elites, that their leadership cannot disown it without simultaneously falling back on it.
Amazing, absolutely amazing...
Biden Condemns Israel...
...using the same words and phrasing that the Obama administration has used to condemn regimes such as Iran, and the Norks...is there any doubt that to Barack Obama and the Democrats, Israel is on par with them?
Biden's words, after Israel dared to build 1,600 homes in Jerusalem, the capitol of the Jewish people for some 4,000 -odd years:
“I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem,” Biden, currently in Israel, said in a statement. “The substance and timing of the announcement, particularly with the launching of proximity talks, is precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now and runs counter to the constructive discussions that I’ve had here in Israel.”
“We must build an atmosphere to support negotiations, not complicate them,” Biden continued...
And the Vice President then took his revenge om Netanyahu bu showing up an hour and a half late for dinner. Real mature, Joe....
But just for comparisons sake...when have we seen the phrase "condemn" from the administration before? Let's listen:
...in June, Gibbs said Obama “condemned the violence” in Iran.
In May, Obama released a statement on Aung San Suu Kyi, saying, “I strongly condemn her house arrest and detention, which have also been condemned around the world.”
The same month, Obama “strongly condemn[ed]” a North Korean nuclear test and missile launch.
In July, Obama said, “I strongly condemn the attacks that occurred this morning in Jakarta.”
The October bombings in Baghdad prompted Obama to say, “I strongly condemn these outrageous attacks on the Iraqi people…”
Last month, we had this: “The United States and the European Union condemn the continuing human rights violations in Iran since the June 12 election.”
And now he condemns Israel worth the same anger - for building homes, mind you - that he uses to protest against a rogue Iranian regime, North Korean nuclear missiles, and terrorist attacks on our allies...
Well, being that Israel has watched and seen exactly how much force has followed Obama's various condemnations, they probably feel they have nothing to worry about.
And they'd be right, except for the fact that whatever precious few actions Obama has taken have all been against allies - whether is be siding with fascists in Honduras, or taking Argentina's side in Falklands War II, or alienating Brazil and Columbia in favor of Hugo Chavez...
Should be interesting to see what unfolds from here....

Obama sells out Israel in exchange for empty promises from proven liars...
One can almost weep over what is either the stunning naivete of Barack Obama, or shudder over what amounts to a cold-blooded betrayal:
The United States has indirectly informed Iran, via two European nations, that it would not back an Israeli strike against the country's nuclear facilities, as long as Tehran refrains from attacking American interests in the Persian Gulf, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.
According to the report, Washington used covert back-channels in Europe to clarify that the US does not intend to back Israel in a strike that may spark a regional conflict.
In return, Washington reportedly expects Iran to steer clear of strategic American assets in the Persian Gulf, such as military bases and aircraft carriers.
Israeli officials reported an unprecedented low in the two nations' defense ties, which stems from the Obama administration's desire to warn Israel against mounting an uncoordinated attack on Iran.
The New York Times reported Monday that US President Barack Obama is promoting a series of steps meant to curb an Israeli offensive against Iran, while forcing the Islamic Republic to take the nuclear negotiations more seriously....
Obama is on his knees before the mullahs of Iran, while threatening the Jews with abandonment in the face of an existential enemy building a weapon meant to wipe them out of existence. As shockingly shallow as it seems, it does in fact appear as if it is more important for Obama to save face than it is for him to save Israel from certain destruction.
The most pro-Israel president ever? If you believe that, I have a recovery summer I'd like to sell to you.
Incidentally, a newly energy-empowered Israel is not without friends, should Obama pull American support from our spiritual little sister. Should Israel be forced to turn to these less-scrupulous allies, well...the damage to the United States will be long-term, both diplomatically and economically.
...the State-owned China Communications Construction Company has been chosen to build a 350-kilometer high-speed railway linking Tel Aviv near the Mediterranean and Port of Eilat on the Red Sea, with a designated speed of 250-300 kilometers an hour, Katz told reporters at the Israeli Embassy in Beijing.
"We've found a lot of gas in Israel, and maybe it can be a base of discussions. There are some discussions about exporting the gas to China," Katz told the Global Times, noting that the railway may be related to future Sino-Israel energy cooperation.
The railway has strategic significance because it will also provide a land-based passage for Chinese cargo to Europe,
All so that one man to avoid admitting defeat at the negotiating table. I suppose wars have started and alliances sundered over less, but not in my lifetime.
Change, I suppose.

Putin cancelled his visit to the United States to attend the G8 in May—a trip that was supposed to mark the reset of the reset of the U.S.-Russia relationship—on the grounds he was too busy. But he found the time to go to Israel on the first official state visit of his second presidency

Israel Finds New Friends
Obama has had a grand old time the last three years, fulfilling the long-held liberal wet dream of marginalizing, humiliating, and injuring Israel. All done with the assumption they've got nowhere else to go, and that they would have to dance for our pleasure or risk being left alone in a cruel world.
But while American Jews may have Battered Wife Syndrome, the state of Israel is hot, and she knows it. And she isn't sticking around just to get slapped around by a neophyte with delusions of grandeur. There are plenty of rich, important men who would like to woo her.
Starting with China..via The Lid:
The Chinese--one important official called it the "little superpower--perceive that Israel in particular and the Jewish people in general have been success stories.
Another factor which should not be underestimated is the lack of Chinese prejudice toward Jews and prejudgment against Israel that has become such a huge obstacle for Israel’s dealing with the West.
There is a huge amount of cooperation, far more than many people realize, on joint projects. While hi-technology is the most obvious area of such activity, there are many others as well. Energy issues are equally paramount. China shares with Israel a great interest in finding alternative energy sources, not so much due to environmental considerations but to financial and security ones. Some impressive ideas and pilot programs are underway that seem more imaginative and likely to succeed than what I’ve seen in the American debate...
And the next man with a bouquet of roses? Why, it's Russia's Vladimir Putin, who's just paid a visit to Israel, which is still one more than the self-declared "best friend" of the Jewish state, Barack Obama:
On President Putin’s visit to Jerusalem, he donned a kippah and went to pray at the Western Wall of the ancient Temple. As one press report has it, at the close of his visit, Putin turned to one of the Russian Jews present and said I came here to pray that the Temple should be rebuilt, and I wish that your prayers will be fulfilled.
Putin had more honeyed words for his Israeli hosts. Touring the Wall, he said “Here, we see how the Jewish past is etched into the stones of Jerusalem.” This is not quite a formal recognition of Israeli claims to the Old City, but it is much more than Israelis usually hear.
The reaction from the Arab side to Putin’s statement about the historically Jewish character of Jerusalem was correspondingly furious....
But Putin doesn't care if barbarians pound their clubs. His response is to kill them. More so than even the Israelis. It is only Obama who feels these animals somehow deserve more deference than the Jews. So where does that leave him, and the United States?
On the outside, as Israel develops itself into an energy superpower. Same article:
...evidence is accumulating that the Promised Land, from a natural resource point of view, could be an El Dorado: inch for inch the most valuable and energy rich country anywhere in the world. If this turns out to be true, a lot of things are going to change, and some of those changes are already underway. Israel and Canada have just signed an agreement to cooperate on the exploration and development of what, apparently, could be vast shale oil reserves beneath the Jewish state.
...following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s surprisingly cordial visit last week, Gazprom and Israel have announced plans to cooperate on gas extraction.
With Italy reeling under the impact of big wrong-way bets on Iran, Rome may also begin to appreciate the value of good ties with a closer and more dependable neighbor. Another sensible target for Israeli energy diplomacy would be India: the two countries are already close in a number of ways, including trade and military technology, and India is eager to diversify its energy sources.
No doubt Israel would love to make energy deals with the Untied States. But much like Canada's frustrating experience with the Keystone pipeline, Obama's intellectual intransigence leaves the Jewish state with little choice but to find new friends.
And - shock of shocks! - there is no shortage of them. Seems like anti-semitism is giving way to hard-headed reality.
Except in the Arab world. And within most of a collapsing Europe. And in America, under Barack Obama.
Sheesh. To be even bunched in with that crew...

Here We Go: Netanyahu Coming To Town In March...
Oh, Lordy, have we seen the fur fly when these two get together. And it's usually Barack who's made to look like the Coyote to Bibi's Road Runner. You can go back to 2010, when Obama stormed out on the Israeli PM, then refused to take photos with him. Or last year, when Obama decided to push the Jews back to the 1967 borders, only to be mocked and denied by Netanyahu, Congress, and the American people.
Not that Obama hasn't gotten his nasty little shots in. He's intent on blaming Israel of the deaths of the Iranian scientists, and he's let his personal animosity towards the leader of the Jewish state known in a bitchy little aside made to France's Sarkozy that was inadvertently picked up by the mics.
So what can we expect this time? Jonathan Tobin thinks that Obama, at least for the moment, will roll over like a good puppy:
With the president fighting hard to retain the votes and the financial support of American Jews and other friends of Israel, Netanyahu can expect that Obama will be on his very best behavior when he arrives next month for a visit that was announced yesterday.
With evidence mounting that Obama and the Democrats have been bleeding Jewish support in the last year, the visit will take the president’s charm offensive aimed at convincing the Jewish community he is Israel’s best friend to a new level...
But while Netanyahu will oblige the rpesident and say the requisite nice things on camera, behind close doors one can expect a fierce ideological struggle of what to do about Iran. Israel senses an existential threat and wants to stop the Iranian nuclear program in its tracks. Obama, on the other hand, seems only concerned about containment - of Israel.
Appearing on CNN, General Dempsey sent precisely the wrong message if the main U.S. strategic goal is convincing Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions. He said the U.S. is urging Israel not to attack Iran—because Iran hasn't decided to build a bomb, because an Israeli attack probably wouldn't set back Iran by more than a couple of years, and because it would invite retaliation and be "destabilizing" throughout the Middle East. . .
In a single sound bite, General Dempsey managed to tell the Iranians they can breathe easier because Israel's main ally is opposed to an attack on Iran, such attack isn't likely to work in any case, and the U.S. fears Iran's retaliation. It's as if General Dempsey wanted to ratify Iran's rhetoric that the regime is a fearsome global military threat.
How has appeasement worked so far? Yeah, exactly...
Netanyahu is in no mood to watch the Iranians prepare to execute their long-promised Second Holocaust while Obama engages in liberal word-games and play-acting. As the president would say, let there be no mistake: There will be a deep divide between these two men on how to handle this developing situation. The only question is, will they be able to paper it over and smile nicely in public, or will Obama erupt once again in yet another fit of ill-tempered pique and spite, embarrassing himself and harming our relations with our closest ally in the process?
Here we go...

Obama Fails To Force Netanyahu To Crawl...
Well, I'll say this: Obama's policy vis-a-vis Israel is the greatest Audacity yet.
"Let me know if there is anything new."
For over an hour, Mr Netanyahu and his aides closeted themselves in the Roosevelt Room on the first floor of the White House to map out a response to the president's demands.
Although the two men then met again, at 8.20 pm, for a brief second meeting, it appeared that they failed to break the impasse.
"There is no humiliation exercise that the Americans did not try on the prime minister and his entourage," Israel's Maariv newspaper reported....
Which means that Netanyahu refused to bend to Obama's will. And we know what happens when people refuse to yield to The One. Threats, ugly public remarks, heated rhetoric, and overt hostility from our Petulant President.
Recent polling shows Israel has some of the highest support from Americans in recent history, with a 63+% approval rating. About the same amount of people who disapproved of ObamaCare. But if Obama's fixation of destroying Israel is as strong as his lust for socializing medicine in the United States, he won't give a sh*t what his fellow Americans think.
Because it is not about them. It is about him. Think of the power he can vest in himself if he can break the will of the Jews. He can stride across the Arab lands, as conqueror and king, their natural redeemer, the proof of his strength coming in the form of a surrender document from Israel. Truth, justice, and the safety of the world's most threatened democracy mean nothing to Barack Obama, when they stand in the way of his personal glory. And the presidency is only a stepping stone for him, one which gives him the power to empty our treasury, to abandon old friends, to forge alliances with criminals, all to serve one end. To magnify his glory. To make him the man who took Ugly America down a notch while aligning it with the hatemongers of the Middle East, by facilitating the destruction of the last safe haven of the Jews.
Just a thought, Baracky - maybe you should look at history, and look at the fate of nations that have tangled with the Jews. From the Romans to the Spanish Kings to Adolf Hitler, from Egypt to Syria to Jordon to Lebanon, the result has been the same: The would-be destroyers wind up humbled, debased, weakened, and destroyed, with their peoples suffering the same fate. The Jews, however, continue - unbowed.
Almost as if someone, or something, is looking after them...

The Ground Zero Mosque, and Obama's Anti-Semitism
Let us review Obama's Ramadan endorsement of a mega-mosque at Ground Zero:
"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America. Our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and that they will not be treated differently by their government is essential to who we are."
Now here's my question: It would seems as if Barack Obama is making a principled stand here - that no matter how offended ordinary Americans are, morality dictates that we must allow a Muslim mosque to be built on sacred land, land that was already defiled once by...Muslims.
But apparently, this "principle" of the president is only contingent on one issue: Muslims being the ones to enjoy property rights. Because if it is Jews trying to build on land they rightfully own, well - forget it. Only one group needs to apply for privileged status in Obama's world, and they are not Jews - or Americans:
...for Obama, there are some groups who must be denied the same civil rights he upholds as absolute in his defense of the plan to build a mosque at Ground Zero. As Obama has made clear since his first days in office, he believes that Jews should be denied the right to their property in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria simply because they are Jews.
OBAMA IS so firm in his belief that Jews should be denied civil rights in Israel's capital and in the heartland of Jewish history that he has provoked multiple crises in his relations with Israel to advance this bigoted view. Almost from his first day in office Obama has struck out a radical position in which he has insisted that Jews must be prohibited from building anything - synagogues, homes, nurseries, schools - in Judea, Jerusalem and Samaria on land they own.
Jews - Israeli and non-Israeli - should be barred from exercising their property rights even if their construction plans have already been approved "in accordance with local laws and ordinances."
At the same time, Obama has insisted that Israel take no action to enforce its "local laws and ordinances" against illegal structures built by Arabs in Jerusalem, Judea, or Samaria.
Next month the deeply discriminatory and legally dubious 10-month moratorium on Jewish building in Judea and Samaria that Obama coerced Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu into instituting is set to end. So now Obama is putting the full weight of the White House on Israel to again coerce Netanyahu into prolonging the discriminatory ban that denies the civil rights and property rights of Jews simply because they are Jewish.
So what is the principle Obama is standing up for here? The right for Muslims to deface sacred ground in America, and the right for Muslims to strip Jews of their rightful property in their eternal capital of Jerusalem. Americans have no right to their holy land, and the Jews, well - it doesn't seem as if Obama grants them any rights at all.
But what did you expect when you elected a president named Barack Hussein Obama?
"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country. And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances. This is America. Our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and that they will not be treated differently by their government is essential to who we are."
