Slaughter's Constituents Throw A Brick

....I guess the residents of Fairport, New York - represented by Louise "Slaughter Rule" Slaughter - have finally realized that their tony, upscale lifestyle (it is known as "The Crown Jewel of the Erie Canal"; in 2005 it was named as one of Money Magazine's "Best Places to Live") will be torn asunder if the Democrats "socialization" of America continues apace.

So they did something about it, I guess:

NIAGARA FALLS — The "Slaughter Solution" on health care isn't the only thing that has come under attack in U.S. Rep. Louise M. Slaughter's world this week. Sometime early this morning, someone threw a brick through the front window of her Pine Avenue office.

The damage was discovered about 12:30 a.m., city police said.

The brick put a hole in the outer-most window at the office at 1910 Pine Ave., but did not damage a second interior window, police reported. A piece of broken brick believed to have caused the damage was found at the scene.

But maybe I am wrong about that; maybe the liberal elite never learn. Slaughter's district is gerrymandered in such a convoluted way that it is nicknamed "the earmuff district - check out that swath of green:

So maybe it was someone from the more depressed Buffalo area, where a factory closes every five minutes, or from Rochester, which has been in the doldrums for what seems like a decade, who chucked that brick. An unemployed factory worker, who did not want to have to pay for the next fella's health care? A retiree on pension, who does not want to see Medicaid cut? Or just an average Joe (or Joesette?) who was tired of not having their voice heard in Washington; someone whose voice is shouted out by the money waved around from the more upscale, and liberal Fairport region?

Well, I understand the anger, but let's throw the bums out, not throw the bricks in. After all, you might hurt someone - and then you have to pay for their health care...
