Barack Obama's Top Fundraiser Goes Rouge
The New York Times reports:
Daniel S. Loeb, the hedge fund manager, was one of Barack Obama’s biggest backers in the 2008 presidential campaign.
A registered Democrat, Mr. Loeb has given and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Democrats.
So it came as quite a surprise on Friday, when Mr. Loeb sent a letter to his investors that sounded as if he were preparing to join Glenn Beck in Washington over the weekend.
“As every student of American history knows, this country’s core founding principles included nonpunitive taxation, constitutionally guaranteed protections against persecution of the minority and an inexorable right of self-determination,” he wrote. “Washington has taken actions over the past months, like the Goldman suit that seem designed to fracture the populace by pulling capital and power from the hands of some and putting it in the hands of others.”
Mr. Loeb, who manages about $3.4 billion at his firm, Third Point Partners, has articulated in a more thoughtful way what a lot of others in finance and business are saying.
“We have given a great deal of thought about the impact that public policy has on individual companies, industries and the economy generally,” he said. Third Point has sold its investments in big banks as a result of “regulatory headwinds”; got rid of its stake in Wellpoint, which Mr. Loeb described as “a statistically cheap stock owned by several hedge funds, but which we saw as being overly exposed to unpredictable government regulation”; and taken a short position against for-profit education companies as a result of “the government’s increased willingness to use its regulatory muscle.”
Mr. Loeb’s views, irrespective of their validity, point to a bigger problem for the economy: If business leaders have a such a distrust of government, they won’t invest in the country. And perception is becoming reality....
What's equally interesting is is the analysis of why most of Wall Street fell into Barack Obama's pocket:
The prevailing view is that bankers, hedge fund mangers and traders supported the Obama candidacy because he appealed to their egos.
Mr. Obama was viewed as a member of the elite, an Ivy League graduate (Columbia, class of ’83, the same as Mr. Loeb), president of The Harvard Law Review — he was supposed to be just like them. President Obama was the “intelligent” choice, the same way they felt about themselves.
It seems as if America's best and brightest aren't on Wall Street, or they would have seen this coming, like the other 46% of America did on election day 2008. And based on the clusterf*ck the Obama administration has turned this country into, one would certainly be safe in declaring that our best and brightest aren't in government either. Or in the media business, for that matter, as they are the liberal government's biggest cheerleaders.
So where are they? One thing is for sure - they ain't coming out of America's Ivy League institutions, that's for certain. What was once an expensive badge of honor is now an expensive admission of ignorance.
So where are our best and brightest? I can't say precisely, but I will say you were more likely to find him/her at the Glenn Beck rally last weekend than you are likely to find them on Wall Street, or in Washington, D.C.. You know, the same rally that the aforementioned "elites" feel obligated to mock, while taking a coffee break from f*cking up America.
Well, I suppose Daniel Loeb won't be fooled again. Of course, a lot of us were not fooled the first time.
71% of Bigoted New Yorkers Want Ground Zero Mosque To Move!
Seven in ten New Yorkers say the proposed mosque/Islamic community center near Ground Zero should be relocated because of opposition from 9/11 families — and an equal number want state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to probe the group’s finances, a new statewide poll released today found.
“Overwhelmingly — across party and regional lines — New Yorkers say the sponsors ought to voluntarily move the proposed mosque to another location,” said Maurice Carroll, director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
The survey of 1,497 of New York residents found:
* A whopping 71 percent then said the organizers should voluntarily move the mosque elsewhere because of opposition from 9/11 family members. Only 21 percent were opposed, with the rest undecided.
* And 71 percent also said that AG Cuomo should probe the finances behind the building of the mosque, also known as 51Park. The concerns over who bankrolls the mosque comes as developer Sharif el-Gamal just announced the launch of the facility’s fundraising campaign and he collected $10,000 last week from supporters.
* A sizable number of New Yorkers have negative views of Islam. Nearly one-third — 31 percent have an unfavorable opinion and about one-quarter were undecided. Less than a majority – 45 percent – had a favorable opinion.
* About one-quarter of New Yorkers think “mainstream Islam” encourages violence against non-Muslims, while 54 percent consider it a peaceful religion. About one in five had no opinion.
....even 61 percent of Democrats said organizers should voluntarily move it.
How the hell do you spin this one? Look, New York City truly is the most "international city" in the world, with every race, religion and nationality mixing it up peacefully on the streets every single day (driven almost entirely by capitalistic impulses - is that the true path to world peace? Obama shudders...). If this mix of characters can all agree on one thing - a mega-mosque built on Ground Zero is an affront to our sensitivity - what in the world can the left, especially people like Mayor Bloomberg, who demanded that the mosque be built on this hallowed ground, now claim as their justification for forcing it down our throats?
Religious freedom? It's not about that. Overcoming racism? New Yorkers are probably the least in racist in the nation. Fighting Islamaphobia? Well, I guess there is precedent for making up an imaginary condition in order to move a political agenda forward...remember "global warming"?
So what say yee, lefties? Is New York now part of the "racist South"? Are we still so "traumatized" by 9/11 that we cannot think clearly? Or this there another agenda here, perhaps something to do with rubbing your fellow citizen's faces into the graves of their friends and families, as a way of showing your disdain, disgust, and unbridled hatred towards them?
In other words...Fascism as sadism?
...In America today, conservatives don't carry out sadistic assaults; the Left does it every day. It is not just a political tactic, but a reflection of who they are as human beings...

Rush Holt: And We Shall Know Thee By Thy Votes....
I was more interested in when Holt voted against the wishes of his party. The examples are illuminating, as almost every time he voted against the Democrats there was bipartisan agreement on the bill in question. It takes a Rush Holt to spit in the face of the few areas of bipartisanship in Congress over the last few years:
7/28/10 Vote 479: H R 5827: To Amend Title 11 of the United States Code to Include Firearms in the Types of Property Allowable Under the Alternative Provision for Exempting Property From the Estate DEMS YES, GOP YES, HOLT NO - because exempting anything - especially firearms! - from he estate tax lowers the government's take of your riches...
2/25/10 Vote 67: H R 3961: Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act - To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to reform the Medicare SGR payment system for physicians and to reinstitute and update the Pay-As-You-Go requirement of budget neutrality on new tax and mandatory spending legislation, enforced by the threat of annual, automatic sequestration. DEMS YES GOP YES HOLT NO - because it forces the government (in theory) to keep spending limited to revenue. And Holt can't abide by any limits in spending....
Vote 280: H R 2352: Job Creation Through Entrepreneurship Act - Amends the Small Business Act to direct the Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA) to establish a Veterans Business Center Program to provide entrepreneurial training and counseling to veterans. DEMS YES GOP YES HOLT NO - Why would the rabidly anti-war Holt want to do anything that helps veterans?
3/18/09 Vote 139: H R 1388: Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (Give) Act DEMS YES, GOP YES HOLT NO - because volunteering time and money is not the same as taxation and coercion, which is the forced giving of time and money. Gee, what do you think Holt prefers?
1/16/08 Vote 11: H R 4986: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 DEMS YES GOP YES HOLT NO - becuase it involves the military, which Holt is intent on defunding. Along with veteran services...
12/11/07 Vote 1143: H RES 847: Recognizing the Importance of Christmas and the Christian Faith DEMS YES GOP YES HOLT "PRESENT". Did Holt ask his constituents about this one? If he's proud of it,why not put it in an ad? "On the importance of Christmas, Rush Holt is proud to have voted Present!"
10/24/07 Vote 995: H R 1483: Celebrating America’s Heritage Act DEMS YES GOP YES HOLT NO. Why would Holt refuse to celebrate America's heritage? Maybe this is why - from the bill: "Prohibits the Alliance from using federal funds received under this subtitle to acquire any interest in real property". If he can't use money as power why use it at all?
I ask my fellow residents of CD-12: Does this man represent you? Is his vision for our country and your life match yours?
If so, well - good luck with that. if not, we have a choice in 2010. We better act on it, or Rush Holt will continue to turn our little patch of suburban New Jersey into a bizarre San Francisco East...
Rush Holt (finally!) Called To Account For His Anti-Israel Stance
But there is hope that the rest of NJ-12 will get the message, as the Emergency Committee for Israel has put out an ad targeting the repulsive views of my repulsive congressman:
Politico:
The ad, which started airing Saturday in a modest but real buy, an aid to the group said, attacks Holt for signing a letter circulated by J Street pressing Israel to end the siege of Gaza and for speaking at J Street's conference with a Muslim leader who once hinted that Israel was behind 9/11.
Jennifer Rubin:
The group is saying that if the candidate himself is going to declare himself “pro-Israel,” it is fair game to look at his voting record and see if that is the case. ECI is not trying to define ”boundaries of acceptable American politics” but rather to recapture the term “pro-Israel” from those who invoke the label but who take positions that are antithetical to Israel’s interests and that are supportive of Israel’s enemies. You can take whatever stance you like, but if you’re going to call yourself “pro-Israel,” says ECI, then you’d better be so.
And what will the Jews of NJ-12 have to say on November 2nd? They are a formidable voting bloc in the district, but to Holt's advantage, the majority of them are Reform, a sect of Judaism more loyal to the Democratic party than to their own land, their own people, their own religion, and their own lives.
The ground has shifted in CD-12; see here for a brief analysis of the 2009 elections in Holt's counties, and how far they shifted...right. Still, while Holt's behavior towards Israel has been among the worst in Congress (and did we mention he was one of only three Congressman to attend Obama's infamous Ground Zero Mosque-supporting Ramadan dinner?), and although nationwide Obama's Jewish support has "fallen" to around 60%, it will be the rank-and-file middle class voters of the 12th who will decide Holt's fate. And the fate of the Jews, ironically. Scott Sipprelle is trying to get his message through, but you know what I've always said: If Zombie Hitler rose from the dead and ran for office as a Democrat, he'd get 78% of the Jewish vote as well....(although the party affiliation of Jews seems to be shifting quite a bit...so assume a 70% margin of victory for the Antichrist instead).
If only my fellow tribesmen worshipped at the feet of God, rather than at the false alter of secular liberalism. I worry for them, and for myself, by extension. The Lord has a way of showing his dismay with those who fall from the path, and he seems to be awful tough on the ones he denoted as Chosen...
UPDATE 8/31: Read the last paragraph of this op-ed from the New Jersey Jewish News to see what I mean...
Obama on the Beck Rally: Americans are easily-led dupes!
Such as the following comment made to NBC news last night, when asked about his take on the Glenn Beck rally:
“It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That’s been true throughout our history,” he said. But “what I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be not good for the nightly news, not good even necessarily for the next election, but are good for the next generation.”
Again we see the de-legitimization of any opposition to Obama's policies. 300,000 - 500,000 Americans show up at a protest rally against the direction Obama is taking the nation? Well, they're the "certain portion of the country" that are easily-led simpletons, clinging to God and guns, duped by FOX news, and way too dim to understand the great works that are being accomplished around them.
Hubris? The word doesn't even come close to the self-importance contained within the vapid soul of the president; I would think the ancient Greeks, encountering the tragic, narcissistic figure of Barack Obama, would need to come up with a new phrase, to describe an unearned pride such as he possess....

The Obama Administration's "Slaveholder" Logic
Hoping to turn vice into virtue, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says that without illegal immigrants, food prices would be "three, four or five times" higher.
Cotton-plantation owners made the same argument in 1860.
No, it's not intentional. But anyone with even half a brain would have realized what an indelicate and easily disprovable argument this is for unfettered cross-border immigration.
But who am I kidding? Looking for brains (even halves) in Washington, DC? Might as well search for water in the Sahara...

Beck Draws 500,000 To DC, Media Mutters To Itself...
(A good time for a Jennifer Rubin quote: "...the left learns nothing and remembers nothing. It is why it is so drearily predictable and so often surprised")
But when the media recovered from a momentary stunned silence, they responded the way they always do when dealing with events beyond their comprehension - with vicious, mindless hatred.
Samples:
The New York Times: It seems the ultimate thumb in the eye: that Glenn Beck would summon the Tea Party faithful to a rally on the anniversary of the March on Washington, and address them from the very place where the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I have a dream” speech 47 years ago. After all, the Tea Party and its critics have been facing off for months over accusations of racism.
Bob Herbert: America is better than Glenn Beck. For all of his celebrity, Mr. Beck is an ignorant, divisive, pathetic figure...
David Broder: I did not stick around to see Glenn Beck's extravaganza at the Lincoln Memorial ... But I was more than satisfied by my memories of the earlier event at that site I'd covered for the old Washington Star, when the theme was civil rights and the speech of the day turned out to be the historic "I Have a Dream" oration by Martin Luther King Jr... And I've remembered this many times since, when people have tried to teach us to fear certain things, such as someone else's marriage or place of worship.
The AP pissed me off most of all (twice in one day); I don't think I can ever recall them using this type of lede before:
Conservative commentator Glenn Beck and tea party champion Sarah Palin appealed Saturday to a vast, predominantly white crowd on the National Mall to help restore traditional American values and honor Martin Luther King's message. Civil rights leaders who accused the group of hijacking King's legacy held their own rally and march.
And the close? Classic:
On the edges of the Mall, vendors sold "Don't Tread on Me" flags, popular with tea party activists. Other activists distributed fliers urging voters "dump Obama." The pamphlet included a picture of the president with a Hitler-style mustache.
They are talking to themselves, telling each other what they want to hear, like the Nazis in the bunker in 1945. They'll soon come to the same end: An inglorious defeat to a reign that was supposed to last forever...
AP Claims Islamophobic Americans Ignoring Suffering Muslims
Well, that memo left the room as soon as people had real things to worry about, like paying rent and being able to afford food. But the style of media reporting has not changed, only the twist has, so now all things are not caused by global warming, but by...American anti-Muslim sentiment.
I bring you the AP story making the rounds worldwide today:
Tepid Response From US Public To Pakistan Floods
Americans are giving a paltry amount for relief efforts in flood-stricken Pakistan compared to other overseas disasters. They were more than 40 times more generous for the Haiti earthquake.
Reasons include the slow-motion nature of the calamity, relatively scant TV coverage, and - unmistakably - the fact that the strategic Muslim ally is viewed warily by many Americans.
Well, that an unmistakably bold claim. The remainder of the article talks about all the other reasons that American giving may be down - the timing (August), the slowly unfolding nature of the disaster, the lack of media coverage - but no mention of the crumbling American economy, interestingly (guess we are obliged to give the shirt off our back even if it is acting as our pillow and blanket as well).
The other thing not mentioned? Proof for their "unmistakable" claim that American Islamophobia is the key cause of the lack of American donations. They do have a few back-up accusations from people "convinced" that "The culture of hate and bigotry has robbed the Pakistanis of some much needed aid", but again, offer no evidence to back up their accusations, save for one comment on a HuffPost blog.
But I suppose evidence, like facts, are considered unnecessary in news reporting these days. A baseless slur has become reality simply by mere repetition - "Americans are anti-Muslim". It is now a "fact", just like the "fact" the planet is warming...and like "climate deniers", the anti-Muslim United States is fair game for any kind of viciousness that one feels the desire to unleash in our direction. As haters, you know - we deserve it.
You know, at least the Salem witch hunters of the 1600's held trials...

Banning Bullets: The EPA Plays Russian Roulette With America
By allowing them to classify carbon dioxide (yes, that's what we breathe out of our mouths every three seconds) as a "greenhouse gas", the Obama has put the EPA in complete command and control of the entirety of the American economy, and intends to use that power as a bludgeon to force a cap and trade agreement through a skittish Congress.
A Congress too skittish for Obama's ideological and tyrannical aims. He knows the dangers an armed citizenry presents to his dream of permanent one-party rule, so he needs to dis-arm them. Congress won't go there (see 1994), but Lisa Jackson and the EPA can. So:
Several environmentalist groups led by the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) are petitioning the EPA to ban lead bullets and shot (as well as lead sinkers for fishing) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Although EPA is barred by statute from controlling ammunition, CBD is seeking to work farther back along the manufacturing chain and have EPA ban the use of lead in bullets and shot because non-lead alternatives are available.
But here's the catch: the alternatives to lead bullets are more expensive. A ban on the sale of lead ammunition would force hunters and sport shooters to buy non-lead ammunition that is often double the cost of traditional lead ammunition. A box of deer hunting bullets in a popular caliber could be upwards of $55.
Although the EPA could have dismissed the request due to a lack of jurisdiction, it is obliging CBD....
My understanding is that many of these non-lead bullets can be classified as "armor-piercing" and thus illegal in many jurisdictions. There's the trick: Don't ban guns, just make ammo unavailable!
And speaking of tricks, let's talk about New Jersey's former DEP head Lisa Jackson, a first-class f*ckup of the highest order. I wrote some of her follies in an oft-read post entitled The EPA's Lisa Jackson: EnvironmentalSlut.
Check it out, there's some good stuff about how Lisa was essentially Jon Corzine's bitch (used up, he passed her on to his pal Baracky), changing environmental rules on the fly to satisfy whoever her political pimp was at the moment. But by far this is the best, and most unusual, story about the head of the EPA, and what her past says about our future:
...what is one of the first things the EPA did with Lisa Jackson at the helm? Why, she was forced to criticize the job done by...Lisa Jackson, when she ran the New Jersey DEP!
Confused? Maybe this will help:
Federal officials are criticizing how New Jersey's Department of Environmental Protection operates, a report in the Record said.
An Environmental Protection Agency audit found "significant shortcomings," especially in the DEP's division that handles contaminated site cleanups. The EPA said the site remediation program lacks oversight, and the DEP takes contractors hired by polluters at their word without checking.
The report also found the agency has failed to take corrective action to fix problems uncovered in a 2005 audit.
The DEP remedies were outlined in a plan issued by Lisa Jackson, who now heads the federal agency. Jackson was DEP commissioner from 2006 to 2008.
Wow. That's a new one. Just how bad of a job did Lisa do in New Jersey?
Bill Wolfe, a former DEP analyst who now is director of the New Jersey chapter of Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, says “This audit is an indictment of DEP management for failing fundamental tests of competence.”
What was that again? Lisa Jackson's department, accused of "failing fundamental tests of competence”??
A perfect fit for the Obama Administration. And a perfect storm for us, as this useful idiot attempts to bang the final nail in America's coffin so that she may use our lifeless bodies as steps to climb the political ladder...
Slashed Muslim Cabbie: "No Mosque At Ground Zero!"
I know many people are upset. I didn’t support the mosque at Ground Zero, either,” the Jamaica, Queens, resident said.
Jim Treacher has some fun with this:
What do you know: Sharif don’t like it. Isn’t it amazing how quickly somebody can transform from “heroic survivor of a horrifying hate crime” to “evilmongering right-wing bigotard”?
And what about that second "anti-Muslim hate crime" spurred on by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin? The bizarre tale of Omar Rivera's anti-Muslim urination turns out to be all wet as well:
In other anti-Muslim crime wave news, we’ve also got a guy named Omar Rivera, who capped off a five-day drunk by wandering into a Queens mosque Wednesday night, flipping people off, and peeing on some prayer rugs. But The Hate Crime of the Century soon, um, petered out:
...The Washington Post was told by the NYPD that Rivera was so drunk that he didn’t even know he was at a mosque, and police say they don’t believe the incident was bias-related. The New York Post has since updated its original story — removing any mention of anti-Muslim slurs. A police source also tells the Post that when found by worshipers, Rivera said “My sister’s dead.”
...The NYPD now confirms to TPM that the incident is not being investigated as bias-related. The NYPD said members of the mosque stated that Rivera did not make biased comments during the incident.
No word on whether Mayor Bloomberg has rescinded his invitation to slashed cabbie Ahmed Sharif to visit City Hall, as our victim now qualifies as a bigot under Bloomie's insane reign. And shouldn't the left-wing media (yeah, you, Charles of LGF, who stated: "I’m sure this has absolutely nothing to do with the non-stop anti-Muslim hate speech pouring out of Fox News, right wing websites, talk radio and shrieking harpy Pamela Geller." Legal Insurrection has more on these opportunistic idiots, and FYI - Pam Geller is a hottie, not a harpy) apologize to the Hispanic community for making out one of their members to be not only anti-Muslim, but even worse, a right-winger? After all, remember what Harry Reid said about Hispanics and Republicans?
Will these lessons take hold on the Left, even the most basic one, to perhaps pause 15 minutes before hurling accusations of "right-wing hate", just to make sure the alleged "haters" are not on your own side?
Unlikely. The left doesn't learn, it only churns forward, unthinkingly, like a thresher through corn, like ignorance through knowledge, like Barack Obama through other people's money, or like...the Southern Poverty Law Center, which ignores evidence like Al Gore in a summer snowstorm, and shrieks that a Wave of Hate Crimes Directed at Muslims Breaks Out!
Tell the SPLC that sound they hear is of America laughing...

Obama Using IRS to Supress American Jews?
Barack Hussein Obama has found a new way to torment American Jews and silence dissent regarding his cruel, pro-Muslim, pro-terrorist polices towards Israel: Refusing their advocacy groups tax-exempt status if they stand in opposition to the Obama Administration's agenda. His agent of fear? The 21 century version of the Gestapo, the Obama-run IRS:
A hawkish pro-Israel group today filed a lawsuit against the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service containing the explosive allegation that the IRS is devoting special scrutiny to pro-Israel groups whose policies conflict with that of the administration.
The group Z Street, intended as a conservative Zionist answer to the liberal J Street, says in its complaint that its counsel was informed that its status as a tax-exempt group was delayed, and could be denied, because of that scrutiny.
Agent Diane Gentry told the group's lawyer that the IRS is "carefully scrutinizing organizations that are in any way connected with Israel," the complaint, filed in federal district court in Pennsylvania, says. "Agent Gentry further stated to counsel for Z STREET: 'these cases are being sent to a special unit in the D.C. office to determine whether the organization's activities contradict the Administration's public policies.'"
UPDATE: E-mails IRS spokesman Bruce Friedland: "The IRS, by law, cannot comment on specific charities or even confirm whether a specific exemption request exists."
Unbelievable? Only to American Jews, who cannot even hear the canary in the coalmine frantically screeching its lungs out.
I'm sure, on the way to whatever fate Obama consigns them to, my fellow Jews will ask for absentee ballots, so as to vote for their favorite Democrats....
"Race To The Top": Obama's Bureaucrats Screw New Jersey
A furious New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie teed off on federal bureaucrats yesterday for allowing a clerical error on the state's application to eliminate it from reaping as much as $400 million in education funds.
The state finished 11th in the hotly contested Race to the Top competition and, under a point-based evaluation system, just three points behind 10th-place Ohio -- which was among the 10 winning states awarded a share of $3.4 billion in federal funding Tuesday.
Christie hit the roof when he learned that it was an error on one page of New Jersey's 1,000-page application -- which mistakenly provided data from 2008-09 rather than 2010-11 -- that docked the state five points, keeping it out of the winner's circle.
"You're not going to grant the award to New Jersey because of a mistake, a clerical mistake, on one piece of paper?" fumed Christie.
"This is the stuff that makes people go nuts. This is the reason why people want to throw everybody the hell out of Congress. This is why people are angry at the president of the United States. Does anybody in Washington, DC, have a lick of common sense? Pick up the phone and ask us for the number."
Christie also questioned why New Jersey didn't get credit for correcting the error two weeks ago.
"Are you guys just down there checking boxes like mindless drones, or are you thinking?" he asked
Oh, Governor, they were thinking, all right - not thinking of New Jersey's children, but thinking of political points to be scored and tallied. The last thing Barack Obama and the Democrats want to see is a renegade Republican governor in a formerly blue state be one of ten states to receive money under a federal program rewarding achievement in education - especially when said governor has been giving the unions fits. Screwing the children of New Jersey is a small price to pay to embarrassing Governor Christie and giving a talking point to their badly battered allies in the NJEA.
Do you think this would have happened if there was a Democratic governor in New Jersey? Never; the president and his cronies would have rushed here with an oversized check for a photo-op. But this is the punishment Democrats mete out to those who engage in apostasy; leave the plantation and they will do everything within their mean, spiteful power to hurt you. Trust me, if the minor application error wasn't made by the state of New Jersey, the DC thugs would have found another reason to dock the state the 5 points necessary for them to miss out.
Didn't Obama promise to "rise above politics as usual"? Instead, he's sunk to a new low, while harming a state full of hard-working, innocent schoolkids...
Christie takes responsibility below, his tirade begins just before the 2:00 minute mark:

Did Mike Bloomberg Drive Mike Enright To Attempt Murder?
The alleged assailant, Michael Enright, is — according to his Facebook profile and the website of the left-leaning media organization Intersections International — a student at the School of Visual Arts and a volunteer for Intersections, which recently produced a statement of support for the Park51 project and is funded by the mainstream, liberal Collegiate Church of New York.
Intersections did not respond to two messages, and the group does not appear to be picking up the phone. Enright did not respond to a message through his Facebook account.
Enright was trying to kill an innocent man in order to gin up hatred against other innocent people in order to allow a mosque to be built on the graves of other innocent people killed by the religion espoused by said mosque.
It's an epic fail...almost. He did find one sucker - Mayor Bloomberg, who grows dumber by the minute:
“This attack runs counter to everything that New Yorkers believe, no matter what God we may pray to," Mayor Bloomberg said in response to the attack.
Bloomberg is too dense to realize that Enright was actually on his side. Or that perhaps it was Bloomberg's incendiary rhetoric that drove Enright to attempt murder in order to have the mosque built. In any case, Bloomberg decides to take another dive off the deep (left) end and urge the Muslims of the Mosque to remain rigid, hardline, intolerant, and spiteful:
A defiant Mayor Bloomberg, saying there should be no compromise, insisted last night that a mosque be built near Ground Zero, declaring, "We must do what is right, not what is easy.
"There are people of every faith -- including, perhaps, some in this room -- who are hoping that a compromise will end the debate," he said. "But it won't."
Amazing - the Mayor of New York now demands that a mosque be built on Ground Zero, barely hiding his disgust for those who may not approve , while refusing to criticize those on his own side who attempt murder on behalf of Mayor Mike's Jihad. Such self-blinding self-righteousness is shocking in a public figure, and will only lead to more mayhem. 99.9% which will be committed by the Mayor's side.
I leave you with these thoughts on where the mayor's jihad will take us:
Self-righteous people can talk themselves into forgetting they are part of a civilization. They can then feed on that culture, bringing it down. It's happened many times in the past. It could happen to us.
David Brin
The greatest enemy to human souls is the self-righteous spirit which makes men look to themselves for salvation.
Charles Spurgeon
Update: Interesting contribution re: Mike Enright in the comments...
Updare II: From Jim Geraghty's Morning Jolt:
We need to stop this mosque project, to prevent its supporters from assaulting any more Muslims!
The ObamaCare Effect: Colleges To Drop Student Policies
Well, that's done. Hey, Obama promised "Change", "Change you can believe in", not "Change for the better", OK? Sheesh:
Colleges and universities say that some rules in the new health law could keep them from offering low-cost, limited-benefit student insurance policies, and they're seeking federal authority to continue offering them.
Their request drew immediate fire from critics, however, who say that student health plans should be held to the same standards that other insurance is.
Among other things, the colleges want clarification that they won't have to offer the policies to non-students.
Without a number of changes, it may be impossible to continue to offer student health plans, says a letter that the American Council on Education sent Aug. 12 to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, signed by 12 other trade associations that represent colleges.
...Requiring them to meet even some of the new rules could drive up premiums, colleges say. Premiums could increase, for example, if regulators determine that student health plans are considered "individual" policies rather than group plans, which often get a better rate...
The liberal McClatchy news organization, which published this piece, is adamant that the schools follow the rules set forth by The One thru His Good Book, also known as ObamaCare. And guess what? I agree with them 100%.
Hey - we all go down together. No carve outs, especially for the University population, who voted in massive numbers for the Administration in power and the policies now in place. What - they want to be protected from the reality that they created?
Sorry. Sometimes you need to come down from the ivory tower and see how your radical ideas actually look and feel once they are in practice. And when your school is in lockdown because of a sick student population, a shortage of medicine to treat them, and too few doctors to administer it, perhaps you will see the errors of your ways.More likely, they'll simply blame Bush...
How Close Is The Ground Zero Mosque To Ground Zero? ThisClose...
See that crane? That's the sight of the former World Trade Center, where Islamic militants gleefully slaughtered almost 3,000 Americans. That's the place, where - should the dysfunctional government of New York ever get it built - thousands of relatives of the victims of Islamic hate will be mourning their loved ones, day after day, year after year.
And that circle, barely around the block, is where they will hear the Islamic call to prayer wailing above them, proclaiming "Allah Akbar", the same phrase used by the people who murdered their parents, their children, their husbands, their wives....
And if you find that offensive, well - you're just a hateful, xenophobic human being, the enemy of all that is good, the prime cause, in fact, of Islamic terrorism against us. Think of that, as your anguished thoughts are drowned out by the loudspeakers ordering you to face Mecca and fall upon your knees...
I'll leave you with a thought that Jonah Goldberg dismisses, but resonates with me quite clearly:
The 70 percent of Americans who oppose what amounts to an Islamic Niketown two blocks from Ground Zero are the real victims of a climate of hate, and the much-ballyhooed anti-Muslim backlash is mostly a myth.
Chuck Hagel For Secretary of Defense? Perfect!
Politco sums up his resume:
He opposed the war in Iraq, has spoken of the need to leave Afghanistan, and...has infuriated supporters of Israel for a refusal to sign on to the many statements of support on the Hill for the Jewish State, and by suggesting the more dispassionate approach to that conflict that — on some days — Obama seems to prefer.
Jennifer Rubin fleshes out a legacy of stands that sound like something out of the liberal playbook:
in 2006, when Hezbollah’s attacks provoked Israeli retaliation and the war in Lebanon, Hagel screeched for the president to demand an immediate cease-fire, arguing it was essential in order to “enhance America’s image and give us the trust and credibility to lead a lasting and sustained peace effort in the Middle East.” Our credibility, in his eyes, depends on the United States’s preventing Israel from defending itself.
Last year, Hagel signed a letter urging Obama to open direct negotiations with Hamas, a position so extreme that Obama hasn’t (yet) embraced it.
On Iran, Hagel was one of two senators in 2004 to vote against renewal of the Libya-Iran sanctions act.
In 2007 Hagel wanted to open direct, unconditional talks with Iran. In 2007 he voted against designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. In 2008 he voted against Iran sanctions....
And, of course, he is a signed and sealed member of the Jewish Conspiracy Cabal:
In an interview quoted in Aaron David Miller’s book on the peace process called The Much Too Promised Land, Hagel said: “The political reality is that … the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here.”
Rubin seems to feel that this is a trial balloon, that Obama (even under the guise of "bi-partisanship") would never force his damaged party into a confirmation fight over a Senator who's views are out of touch with the American mainstream.
Hmm. And nobody thought he would continue to push health care reform after Blue Massachusetts rebuked him with Scott Brown. And nobody thought he would stand up and support the Ground Zero mosque against the desires of all but the political class. And so on...
Don't expect Obama to give a whit about what the public thinks, this is about advancing his agenda, and the Hagel appointment would be a step towards doing so. Sure, it would likely turn the American people against each other again, and would certainly cost his party a few more seats in November, but...since when has Obama cared how many bodies of his fellow Americans he had to walk over to get what he wants?
Watch for it...

Poll: Tea Party Darlin' Anna Little Closing In On Frank Pallone
In a poll released by the Anna Little for Congress campaign, Anna Little is only six points behind 22-year incumbent Frank Pallone. The poll, conducted by National Research Inc., shows Pallone at 40% and Little closing the gap at 34%. Perhaps most telling is that Pallone has nearly 100% name ID among voters in the district.
First of all, the 100% name recognition - even if it's"only" 80% or so - is huge, as a challenger's biggest obstacle against an entrenched incumbent can be the "Scott who? Nevah heard of ya" syndrome. Apparently, everyone, or close to it, knows who Anna Little is...and here's why:
During the past five weeks, Anna Little’s volunteer army has knocked on more than 10,000 doors in the Sixth District. A tireless campaigner, having won her past five elections for Mayor and Freeholder in similar fashion, Anna is comfortable taking her message directly to the voters.
Evidence of Anna's comfort with the people is here. Certainly more so than Frank Pallone, who now refuses to conduct town halls, only "one-on-ones" , primarily with "organization reps"....
Hey, Scott Brown was down by a dirty dozen or so just over a month out in Massachusetts before roaring to a convincing win over the Democratic machine. Frank Pallone is now just another member of an unpopular party with a voting record tied to an unpopular president and and even more unpopular Congress. In a year when Republican likely voters are twice as enthused (46% to 23%) as their Democratic counterparts, why can't Anna win, especially over a candidate that - vagaries of the poll notwithstanding - cannot break 50%?
Money, you say? Then get your sorry ass over to Anna Little's site and give some. Consider it an investment....
Barack Obama Faces A Flotilla Of His Own...
With the national media gathered on Martha's Vineyard this week for President Barack Obama's vacation, fishermen are seizing the opportunity to organize a floating protest at Vineyard Haven on Thursday.
A flotilla of commercial boats will rendezvous at the harbor entrance at noon to demonstrate that fishermen are less than happy with the Obama administration's oversight of their industry.
Flawed fisheries science, an oppressive law enforcement policy and unnaturally low catch limits are at the heart of the protest, organizers said.
"We don't know the count yet but it will be at least 25 and maybe as much as a hundred boats," said Richie Canastra of the New Bedford Seafood Display Auction.
"Both commercial and recreational fishermen are suffering from a badly flawed law, the Magnuson Act," said Jim Donofrio, executive director of Recreational Fishing Alliance.
The federal law that governs fisheries nationwide needs to be fixed, "based on good science and not science fiction," he said....
"It's killing the charter and party boat people as well as the commercial guys."
From firsthand experience, I can assure you that he's right. I used to be an avid fluke fisherman, going out a number of times per season on any of the "half-day" party boats that scatter the Jersey Shore. About 20 years ago, keeper size was 14 inches. Now, it's 18 inches. You know how many 18 inch fluke you can land in a day? Maybe one. If you're lucky. And that might be enough meat for a fluke sandwich. Maybe. If you're lucky.
And how bad is the science? Bad enough so that even the fish have outsmarted it. Studies are reporting that fish are now biologically reacting to the larger catch size by simply remaining juveniles longer. Why grow big and strong if it will only diminish your odds of survival? Of course, this little bit of evolution is actually depleting the fisheries even further, as juvies mature later and spawn considerably less. But hey - try to tell a bureaucrat that he's being outsmarted by evolution, and all of a sudden he'll become a creationist...
From the Garden State Seafood Association, a list of complaints that sounds familiar to anyone who has suffered under arbitrary government regulation:
· Too rigid biological “performance” standards
· Lack of standards for the science that supports management decisions.
· Use of language that unnecessarily skews public – and legislative – opinion against commercial harvesting.
· Habitat provisions based on poorly or undefined concepts and used as a weapon against fishing rather than a tool for the fish.
· Requirements that prevent the consideration of the cumulative social and economic impacts of restrictive management actions.
Seems as if an entire industry, as well as regular weekend anglers like myself, are in agreement that changes to the law need to be made. So what does that make the members of Thursday's anti-Obama fishing flotilla?
Racists. Hate criminals. Eco-terrorists. Pawns of Big Business. Radicals. Reactionaries. Idiots. Maybe...Islamophobes?
Can you imagine a nation with as much coastline as ours seeing a collapse of it's fishing industry? Sounds insane, right? But leave it to the environmentalists and bureaucrats to sink what should be an unsinkable industry...

Barack Obama has Found Religion!
...instead of attending church services at one of the dozens and dozens of quaint, island Christian churches yesterday morning, the commander in chief hit Our Lady of the Fairways, aka the Vineyard Golf Club, yet again, to play 18.
Obama again teed off with Chicago pal Eric Whitaker and aide Marvin Nicholson . Rounding out the foursome was Bill Lewis, a regular Vineyard vacationer who played with Obama and Whitaker last year. Once again, the press corps was kept far, far away from the presidential golf party.
Perhaps the Leader of the Free World is a little sensitive about his game. Because our spies report that Barry was hacking away at a ball in the bunker on the 12th hole - a la Judge Elihu Smails - before giving up and throwing it onto the green.
...it was Obama’s second outing to the posh, private golf club since landing Thursday on The Rock. The prez teed off at 8:30 a.m. under cloudy, drizzly skies. A perfect day to be inside. Like, say, in church!
Is religion so repugnant to Barack Obama that he couldn't even pay lip service to the pious life that most Americans hold dear, by spending 90-odd minutes in church on a rainy Sunday? Is he so devoted to his own self-image, that of a man of "reason", that he feels it is beneath him to be seen praying to some type of so-called "god"?
Funny, though, that no matter how often he finds the time to slight Judaism and Christianity, there is always time to praise the Muslim faith, and give it at least the lip service that he so often denies the primary American faiths?
And they wonder why folks doubt his devotion to, shall we say, Western values, at the least...
77% Of Americans Now Oppose Ground Zero Mosque...
Anyway:
A lot more voters are paying attention to the plans to build a mosque near the Ground Zero site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City, and they don’t like the idea.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 85% of U.S. voters say they are now following news stories about the mosque planned near Ground Zero. That’s a 34-point jump from a month ago when only 51% said they were following the story.
The new finding includes 58% who are following the story very closely, up from 22% in mid-July.
Now 62% oppose the building of a mosque near where the World Trade Center stood in Lower Manhattan, compared to 54% in the previous survey. Twenty-five percent (25%) favor allowing the mosque to go ahead, and 13% more are not sure.
Sixty-eight percent (68%) of the Political Class, however, favor building the mosque near Ground Zero. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Mainstream voters are opposed.
That's quite a gap between the people and the politicians. Are we citizens, or are we subjects? Whether or not this mosque of evil goes forward will determine, at least, how are identity is perceived by our "political class"...
So ObamaCare Comes To New Jersey...
The virtual bureaucrats stand on the corner, ringing a bell, shouting "Hear yee, hear yee! Come to us on bended knee with your ailments, your wounds, your fevers, your pox and your distemper, and we will pay for your leeches!"
And, much to their surprise....no one comes to lay a claim:
Just two people in New Jersey will begin receiving coverage Monday under new plans created by federal health care reforms.
NJ Protect plans are available to those who have been without insurance for at least six months and submit evidence of pre-existing health conditions.
The state will receive $141 million in federal subsidies to cover claims that exceed the premiums paid by the beneficiaries.
Two policies are available, with premiums ranging from $212 to $768 monthly, depending on age....
All that stolen money, and you still need almost $800- a month to get health insurance?
The question, of course, is why so little interest in this program. The easiest answer is that it hasn't been publicized enough; once folks know they can get their health care paid for by someone else, they'll be lining the streets for their fair share.
Maybe. Or maybe...folks are becoming ashamed of being looters? Despite Obama and the Democrats desire to create two Americas - one that works and creates wealth, the other that does neither but simply takes - is it possible that Americans do not like being moochers? Morality has a funny way of working around politics; and arriving at D.C. last and late. Perhaps, at a time when every American is aware of the nation's perilous financial situation, few of them want to be seen as part of the problem, part of the looting class, part of the segment of society that takes, but never gives back. Almost...a sense of shame, actually, for being on the receiving ends of services they have not earned.
Don't like that theory? Here's another - that the "under-insured" population of this country was never as big as the proponents of ObamaCare made it out to be. Sure, it was a useful cudgel for both Democrats and the media to use to beat up on those oppose to this misguided "reform", but did it have an basis in reality? Apparently not. Seems like a lot of those who are "under-insured" are well aware of their situation and prefer it to coughing up another $700-$800 a month in order to be covered in a way Nancy Pelosi feels they should. Wonder how these folks will take to being forced to purchase the plan Barack, Michelle, and Nancy decide is best for them and their families....
Maybe if the Democrats spend another $100 million in taxpayer money promoting the plan, they may get a few more takers. In the meantime, it looks as if your health care choices were ripped from your hands, and given to the government, so that two uninsured people could get additional coverage. A fair trade-off for giving up the world's best medical service, realistic wait times, and control over your own - and your family's - medical treatment? Only for the lucky two, I suppose, and the government, who now stands to control the entirety of the medical establishment.
Well, that's socialism for you.
Rush Holt: Looking More Vunerable in New Jersey CD-12?
New Jersey's CD-12 makes #3 on the list, as uber-liberal Rush Holt's hold on its Congressional seat (first won by less than 2,000 votes, then secured by a Democratic legislature via gerrymandering in 2000)may, for the first time in over a decade, may be in jeopardy:
Scott Sipprelle vs. Rush Holt, New Jersey’s 12th District.
Reasons the challenger should have no chance: Holt, elected in 1998, won 62 percent of the vote in 2008 and usually performs around that level.
Reasons the challenger has a chance: For some reason, the DNC felt the need to run ads defending Holt’s vote for the health-care bill. Sipprelle — a Princeton-based venture capitalist — had $490,000 in cash on hand as of June 30 and has committed to match at least the first $1 million in donations to his campaign. New Jersey was a reliably Democratic state until Chris Christie’s win last year; now Obama’s approval rating is even with his disapproval rating — 47–47 in Quinnipiac — and Holt remains one of the most liberal members of Congress. Christie won four of the five counties whose parts make up Holt’s district.
And that last line's the key. Most of Holt's district is in Middlesex and Monmouth counties; how did they change from November 2008 to November 2010? A 2009 election night analysis:
Well, Mommouth went for John McCain in 2008, but just barely:
Republican - McCain 160,433 51%
Democrat - Obama 148,737 48%
And how did the electorate shift in last night's governor's race? Can you say...dramatically?
Republican - Christie/Guadagno 128,328 62.19%
Democrat - Corzine/Weinberg 64,315 31.17%
Now let's check out Middlesex, whose shifts might have been even more dramatic:
First, the 2008 results:
Democrat - Barack Obama 193,812 61%
Republican - John McCain 123,695 38.8%
One year later:
Democrat - Jon Corzine 75,200 44.21%
Republican - Chris Christie 81,947 48.17%
The tide is turning. And how is Rush Holt reacting? Like most Democrats this election season - by insulting (here and here), and in some cases, physically fighting with his (female) constituents. And by outright lying about his opponent by ascribing false positions to him.
And as far as one position that matters much to his constituents, the Ground Zero mosque (the death toll from CD-12 was quite high)? Holt has been mum, but the fact he was one of only three Congressman at Obama's Ramadan dinner where the president gave the mosque his explicit endorsement, speaks more than the cowardly congressman from Jersey ever will, apparently.
Holt is following the Democratic 2010 election model to a "T": Hide your positions, lie about the opposition, and insult Americans who don't agree with you.
How's that gonna work out? As well as it will for the rest of this Congress from Hell...
I'll bring you a poll on CD-12 as soon as I can find one...

I'm Not Sure Calling Us "Racist" Will Be A Convincing Argument
First it's Maureen Dowd, explaining away the American people's disdain, disregard, and distrust of Barack Obama as no more than the raving of lunatics. Now we have one Ramzi Kassem to tell us why 20% of Americans think Barack Obama is a Muslim: Becuase we're all a bunch of racist hicks.
Wow, what love the "common man" is receiving from it's self-declared elite benefactors today!
Just in case we are too dumb to get the point, the left-wing NY Daily News titles the column:
Why they call Obama a Muslim: Rule out the other theories and the elephant in the room is race
Now, before Kassem can level his accusation, he needs to discredit every other reason that people have this perception of Barack Hussein Obama. And that's where, in his rush to tag us as racists, he trips over his own feet:
...the cause cannot be that Obama actually seems Muslim. There is no objective basis in his conduct for that view...
Well, that's false. There is a basis in his conduct for that view. Put simply: Obama, since becoming president, has spent more time representing Muslim interests to America than he has representing American interests anywhere across the globe. His famous Cairo speech (or "Cairo Capitulation") was a kowtow to the Muslim world, his attitude towards Israel has mirrored that of the most hard-line Arab/Muslim states, he has refused to lift a finger against Iran's creation of a nuclear arsenal, his anti-semitism is barely disguised and thinly veiled, he has honored terrorist supporters such as Mary Robinson , and..oh yeah: At a Ramadan feast, he announced his support for a mega-mosque to rise above the ruins of Ground Zero. And of course, there's this, from Daniel Pipes:
...available evidence suggests Obama was born a Muslim to a non-practicing Muslim father and for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian step-father. At some point, he converted to Christianity. It appears false to state, as Obama does, "I've always been a Christian" and "I've never practiced Islam."
Based on the above, isn't it at least understandable that some people would view Barack Hussein Obama as a Muslim?
Not to Kassem. Much like Maureen Dowd, the above facts cannot even be considered, lest he suffer "cognitive dissonance" and be forced to question their beliefs. To liberals in these troubling times, thinking has become a type of apostasy all of its own; note the hate rained down on Howard Dean for suggesting, regarding the Ground Zero mosque, that perhaps "65% of Americans are not right-wing bigots". So Kazam ignores troves of evidence that, if not supporting the fact that Obama is a Muslim, can at least explain why the perception exists. He must, in order to make statements such as this:
...explicit racism is no longer in vogue in mainstream America. These polls show that people are circumventing the taboo by using Islam as a proxy for race....
...For those who continue to feel estranged from a President who is not white, labeling Obama as Muslim is the sole available substitute for racial epithets that are no longer tolerated. Where they appear to take issue with prayer, those polled are really fixated with pigmentation.
Well, Kassem is merely a professor at the City University of New York School of Law. And from what I hear, getting a professorship in a CUNY is no harder than gaining admission as a student: The ability to breathe in, and out...
I'm Not Sure Calling Us "Lunatics" Will Be A Convincing Argument
Name-calling. And if that's the best the op-ed columnists of the New York Times can come up with, well...it's an admission of failure, albeit that of a coward.
Presenting Maureen Dowd's last, best defense of Barack Obama - She's sane, everyone else is crazy:
Obama is the head of the dysfunctional family of America — a rational man running a most irrational nation, a high-minded man in a low-minded age.
The country is having some weird mass nervous breakdown, with the right spreading fear and disinformation that is amplified by the poisonous echo chamber that is the modern media environment.
The dispute over the Islamic center has tripped some deep national lunacy. The unbottled anger and suspicion concerning ground zero show that many Americans haven’t flushed the trauma of 9/11 out of their systems — making them easy prey for fearmongers.
Many people still have a confused view of Muslims, and the president seems unable to help navigate the country through its Islamophobia.
Wow. That's a lot of hate of your fellow Americans packed into five sentences. Just when you believed you came to your conclusions via logical analysis and the evidence of your own eyes, here's come Dowd to tell you no, you're dysfunctional, irrational, low-minded, a lunatic having a nervous breakdown, full of anger, fear, and trauma. Oh, and you're Islamaphobic.
Seems like the charges that a totalitarian regime gins up against a dissenter. And just like Dowd, though, if you change your mind and unwaveringly support her belief system (no matter how out of touch with reality, and how hateful it may be), you'll be just fine.
The Left will lap up this hatred like a cat on spilt milk. Expect Newsweek to lead with a "We Are All Insane Now" cover next week. Expect the liberal talking heads to regurgitate it often in the upcoming days as well.
Because deriding your opponents as insane accomplishes two things: One, it allows you to express your unadulterated hatred for those who disagree with you. Two, it excuses you from actually having to consider your opponent's arguments, as they are simply the ravings of a madman. And this is what supporters of the president have resorted to: cheap rhetorical tricks to insure they simply don't have to question their assumptions, no matter how reality crumbles around them.
I doubt many outside the Deep Left will find Dowd's column convincing. And for those outside Maureen's inner circle, the question of who is actually insane here now becomes an open one...

Code Pinkster Jodi Evans: Anti-American, Anti-Israel...And Key Democratic Fundraiser
...Jodie Evans and her Code Pink degenerates taunted me and made light of my son’s sacrifice telling me, “Your son deserved to die in Iraq if he was stupid enough to go over there.” It took every ounce of reserve in my body to not level these idiots to the ground. These same people who call terrorists “freedom fighters” says that my son, who gave up his life for their freedoms, deserved death.
Now Jodie Evans is at her fundraising efforts again, this time to support Jerry Brown for Governor of California. California is at the top of the list for military bases and boasts one of the largest populations of Veterans, yet Jerry Brown a past governor of the state and candidate for the office again, is willing to take thousands of dollars from one of the largest anti-war groups in America.
What else has Jodi Evans been working on? Oh, just run-of-the-mill Democratic party initiatives:
Evans, a major Obama ally and fundraiser, is about to hold a fundraiser for California Democrat and gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown. In her spare time, she raises money for terrorists and other America-haters – with impunity. This includes helping launch the “peace flotillas” against Israel in order to help the Hamas terrorist organization, a project on which she works with the president’s friends Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn (the former Weather Underground terrorists).
More, from Melanie Morgan :
She and her group, Code Pink, are partners with the terrorist group Hamas and they are the generous donors of some $600,000 of “humanitarian aid” to terrorists fighting American troops in Iraq.
And this is the type of person who will get hugs and applauds from top Democrats nationwide this campaign season.
Well, Melanie and some fellow patriots will be showing up at Jodi's home tonight (info at the above link) with some choice words for both her and the California citizens who will be showing up with pocketfuls of cash for Jerry Brown. If you're in the neighborhood, why not show up and say hi?
At the top. I mentioned that Jodi Evans' intricate involvement with the Democratic party was symptomatic of their moral rot. What happens to a tree that rots from the inside?
Yeah, and that's where I expect to find the Democratic party on November 3rd. Broken apart, torn asunder, lying in pieces, with some parts still arguably alive, but with the body undeniably dead.
That's what happens when your roots absorb poison, you know.
Cindy Sheehan, Jodi Evans, Hug Chavez, and some other whore

Dear Mayor Bloomberg: Please Stay On The Campaign Trail!
Which, in my mind, is awesome. When he's not raising taxes or measuring your waistline, he's setting the tone for the Ground Zero Mosque debate with the highly popular "You should be ashamed of yourself with your dissenting, you ignorant bigots, so shut the hell up and kneel towards Mecca". And now he's gone on record endorsing Democratic candidates, including his infamous campaign appearance with pending Pennsylvania loser Joe Sestak, where he won over the common man by buying a cheesesteak at a grocery store, then refusing to eat it.
I missed another winning Bloomberg quote from that "elite" event, incidentally:
"Those that think we should have fewer immigrants in tough times just don’t understand. We need more immigrants.”
To do what, exactly? Increase our welfare rolls and weigh down our healthcare system as they struggle to find work in the jobless desert that is Obamaland? Wonder if Sestak agrees with Bloomberg here...although I have a good feeling how the voters of PA feel. But they're just "clingers", and "bigots" and....well, you know....
But apparently Bloomberg has a plan to make room for all these immigrants he wants to open the border for: He wants to kill Indians! Not India Indians, I hasten to add, but...American Indians. You know, the ones that it is OK to kill because they are natives of America. And not only does Bloomberg want to thin their ranks - in the name of raising tax revenues, mind you - but he expresses it in a way that could even make the non-PC cringe:
A Native American tribe is calling on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to either apologize or resign after he said on a radio show that Gov. David Paterson — who’s trying to rustle up millions in cigarette taxes from the tribes — should grab “a cowboy hat and a shotgun” and demand the money.
The mayor made the comments last week during an on-air discussion about the cigarette tax the state of New York wants to impose on Indian tribes starting Sept. 1. The hike has already touched off a court battle, but Bloomberg called for Paterson to flex some frontier justice.
“I said, you know, get yourself a cowboy hat and a shotgun. If there’s ever a great video it’s you standing in the middle of the New York State Thruway saying, you know, ‘Read my lips — The law of the land is this and we’re going to enforce the law,’” he said.
That didn’t sit well with the New York tribes.
I'm sure. Like claiming Jews are money-hoarders, and a few good swastika-embossed jackboots would set them straight....
Exactly why I want Bloomberg on the trail. He is the embodiment of the American liberal elite - rich, effete, obnoxious, infused with an oversized belief in his superior intellect and morality, enough so that he feels that it is his duty to meddle in the intricacies of the lives of each and every American citizen. And if they complain, well - they can just shut the f*ck up, can't they?
Please, Bloomy. Stay out there. And keep talking. because you are so smart and wise and progressive that the world is lost without your pearls of wisdom.
And keep sticking tight to the Democratic platform while you're at it...
Can Chris Christie Actually Be Bigger Than Obama in New Jersey?
New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie is winning the hearts and minds of New Jersey voters who approve 51 - 36 percent of the job he is doing and say 51 - 39 percent that the Governor is more a "leader" than a "bully," according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
In today's survey, Christie gets a 75 - 13 percent thumbs up from Republicans and a 61 - 29 percent approval from independent voters. Democrats disapprove 63 - 24 percent.
The Governor's approval rating is higher than for other players in Trenton:
•Voters disapprove 28 - 17 percent of the way the State Senate Majority Leader Stephen Sweeney is doing his job, with 55 percent undecided;
•Voters split 19 - 19 percent in their approval of Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, with 63 percent undecided;
•Voters disapprove 45 - 28 percent of the State Assembly;
•Voters disapprove 46 - 30 percent of the State Senate.
In a state where the seoond highest approval rating for a (statewide) elected figure/body is 30%, Christie's 51% is a freaking landslide of support. Having almost 25% of Demcorats uspporting him doesn't hurt any, and is actually quite the amazing total among the ideologicaly rigid East Coast Liberal set...
But here's the kicker:
President Barack Obama's approval rating has dropped to an all-time low in New Jersey, a split 47 - 47 percent, down from a 50 - 46 percent approval rating June 17. Democrats approve of the President 80 - 16 percent while Republicans disapprove 80 - 14 percent. Independent voters disapprove 53 - 41 percent, compared to a 52 - 45 percent disapproval June 17.
Obama polling worse than Chris Christie in a state known as little as nine months ago as "Blue Jersey"? What's next? American Jews becoming Republican? Oh, sh*t...
Time to draft the Fat Man for the White House...!
