Obama: Done

Can Obama win the general election with a voter base containing exclusively blacks, college kids, and rich white upper-class liberals? 'Cause after this remark - made at a San Francisco fund raiser - that's about all that's left of his constituency:

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Wow. Guess the idea of a person holding moral values, that, you know - they may actually believe in - is so alien to the mindset of Barack Obama that he needs to invent a whole psychodrama to explain it away.

Apparently, if these folks (who have been unemployed for 25 years?) had jobs - you know, the ones that Barack Hussein Messiah Obama will create with a beneficial wave of his hand once elected - they wouldn't need all that silly "God" stuff, they'd allow the Second Amendment to be eradicated, finally throw the borders open wide, and be through with all that "bitterness"!

I don't know what's more appalling - his own underlying hostiltity to those who do not share his far-left ideology, his elitist slap at small town America, or the underlying racist tone of this comment.

After all, what kind of people are always pictured living in these "small towns in Pennsylvania and...in the Midwest"? Not exactly urban enclaves, are they? From the mind of Jeremiah Wright to the mouth of Barack Obama...

The media honeymoon is well over,as the AP has a pretty stiff leade:

Obama says some voters are angry, bitter

In the midst of an assault from his rivals, a defensive Barack Obama said Friday that many working-class Americans are angry and bitter over economic inequalities and have lost faith in Washington — and, as a result, vote on the basis of other issues such as gun protections or gay marriage

The Illinois senator's analysis of what motivates working-class voters came after chief rival Hillary Rodham Clinton accused him of looking down on such voters....

The article has another Obamian explanation for why the rubes - ah, sorry, unemployed white Midwesterners - vote the way they do:

"People don't vote on economic issues because they don't expect anybody is going to help them," Obama told a crowd at a Terre Haute, Ind., high school Friday evening. "So people end up voting on issues like guns and are they going to have the right to bear arms. They vote on issues like gay marriage...

Obama simply cannot believe anyone could hold a different value system than he himself does; cannot grasp that someone may look at the same set of facts and come to a different conclusion, and act on it. So he invents bitterness - the way a 9/11 conspiracy theorist invents "preplaced explosive charges" - to explain the inexplicable.

Incidentally, would a man who obviously does not understand the meaning or preciousness of a moral principle ever send men to fight or die for one ? Yeah, no wonder al-Qaeda sees Obama and waits, drooling with anticipation of the fun they'll have...

How any thinking voter (except the small three-grouping I mentioned on top) could vote for this man, thinking that he may somehow represent them, is beyond me.

Not that I am worried, really.

Obama: Done.

I don't think it is racism; it is just part of Obama's liberal elitism. The same way he shows disdain for middle class whites by essentially saying only government programs/help can get them them to "think right" is the same attitude he has towards urban blacks, who cannot survive, apparently, without Obama's and the government's assistance either.

He may be more tolerant of the views of urban blacks, but his condensation and solution remains the same.
