Gulf Oil Spill: An Alien Conspiracy? Or Just A Mere Fulfillment of the Book of Revelations?

OK, I am going to give the "oil spill conspiracy" posts a bit of a rest, but not until running through one of the most well-used theories to explain everything that goes haywire in the world today...

A Zionist conspiracy? Well, possibly, but we discussed that already....I am talking about the ultimate fallback conspiracy: Those pesky extraterrestials!

Hey, this guy lays it all out:

Pagan Gnostics suggest that the Oil Spill is an expression by a regressive alien consciousness, that does not view itself as being “malevolent“. Rather, this alien consciousness views itself to be angelic, and acting “in behalf of God” to carry out the “Book of Revelation”. Pagan Gnostics viewed “God” as expressed in organized religion to be a paternalistic and psychotic demonic entity which professes love while inspiring oppression and war.

So BP Deepwater Horizon was destroyed by God-fearing aliens who are trying to fulfill the Book of Revelations? Gee, so simple, I can't see why I missed it! Although it would explain why both BP and the U.S. Government are so adamant about keeping the press and photographers out. If people are pissed at Barack Obama now, how far will his political standing fall when Americans find out he's been p'wned by a bunch of "regressive aliens"?

More:

The Book of Revelation presents “angelic beings” as presiding over the destruction of the seas and oceans in a disaster...it appears to have a description that is consistent with oil. Subsequent parts of revelation suggest that this disaster is to proceed what appears to be a nuclear war, that then ushers into a “New World Order” under “God’s authority”.

The relevant portions of Revelations, you ask? Presented below:

[8] And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
[9] And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
[10] And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
[11] And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Was Deepwater Horizon's explosion the "great mountain burning with fire"? Are the oil-soaked pelicans the "creatures which were in the sea"? Is the apparently unstoppable flow of oil destined to make the waters "bitter", killing those who either drink or subsist on it?

Well, I can't say it sounds crazy, what with the election of the Anti-Christ, the threat of Israel's destruction, the collapse of world currency, and now the unfolding destruction of the oceans (managed, of course, by Obama - aka The Anti-Christ - himself!).

Looks like I'm spending Father's Day weekend deep inside the bunker...

Why This Neo-Con Loves Elton John

....OK, this might bear some explanation to the uninitiated....

I wrote last week on the courage it took Elton to play for Rush Limbaugh, knowing the bricks that would be tossed at him by the "hard" left for daring to perform at the wedding of such a well-known gay-baiting, homo-bashing, neo-Nazi hate-monger:

I think it's important to point out that Elton John has never hesitated to cross barriers in order to make the so-called "haters" understand. He played with Axel Rose, when the Guns front man was assailed for his anti-gay remarks. He did a duet with angry white rapper Eminem, when he too was under attack for his gay-hostile lyrics. This takes courage in a world full of Elvis Costellos , Los Lobos, and Pixies, performers/bands that simply refuse to play in nations/states that don't adhere to the entertainment industry's code of political correctness.

Elton has tried to bring those who don't agree with him not necessarily over to his side, but to a place of mutual understanding, respect, and kindness towards each other...

And while the world throws a fit over Israel's refusal to roll over and die, and bands like the aforementioned cancel their shows in the Holy Land as a way to show their solidarity with Barack Obama and , Elton again shows his guts and plays in the belly of the Zionist beast itself - Tel Aviv:

A concert by Elton John has given Israelis a boost after a string of cancellations by other world-famous artists.
The British rocker performed late Thursday in front of a screaming crowd of nearly 50,000 fans at a Tel Aviv stadium.

John, who wore blue-tinted sunglasses, told the audience those cancellations "ain't gonna stop me from playing here, baby."
Recent cancellations by the Pixies and Elvis Costello, who cited Israeli government policies, have added to Israel's growing sense of isolation.

John swiped at those artists, saying, "We do not cherry-pick our consciences," before hitting the opening chords of his 1972 hit "Crocodile Rock."

Bravo, Elton. Although you and I might disagree on some things, I will always admire and respect the strength you have shown, for it is harder these days to defy political convention than to defy social convention.

And although I am sure it means next to nothing to you, to at least one right-wing nut, you are an inspiration and a heroic figure.

And when the bile and rage gets slung your way - more viciously for this (and for the Limbaugh wedding) than it ever did for merely "stepping out of the closet" - stay strong, and remember: The hatred will burn out long before your legend ever will...

Oil Spill Conspiracy: Obama Orders The Coast Guard To Slow It Down!

An Obama-created crisis in order to halt offshore drilling and to pass cap and trade, engineered by Rahm Emanuel with Barack Obama's knowledge and consent. No doubt about it. ( see here, here, here, over here, read this, and here, definitely read this, and this is somewhat related as well). And when work finally gets going to clean up the spill, before the cap&trade bill - I mean energy bill - whoops, I mean green jobs bill - hits the floor, the president knows he has to do something to keep the crisis rolling for a few more weeks. So he calls in the Coast Guard, and tells them to follow the book. And to make sure everyone is doing likewise.

This is plain crazy:

...why stop now? "The Coast Guard came and shut them down," Jindal said. "You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, 'Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.'"

A Coast Guard representative told ABC News today that it shares the same goal as the governor."We are all in this together. The enemy is the oil," said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Dan Lauer.

But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges.

The governor said he didn't have the authority to overrule the Coast Guard's decision, though he said he tried to reach the White House to raise his concerns."They promised us they were going to get it done as quickly as possible," he said. But "every time you talk to someone different at the Coast Guard, you get a different answer."

After Jindal strenuously made his case, the barges finally got the go-ahead today to return to the Gulf and get back to work, after more than 24 hours of sitting idle.

"Why stop now?" The president and his Rahm-rod have not yet taken full opportunity of this crisis, that's why. After all, they have the opportunity, via carbon tax legislation, to turn the entire productive capacity of the United States in a Soviet-style "command and control" that will allow the White House to make pretty much every business decision for every major company in the nation. And for this crew of looters, that is way too fat of a target to pass up.

So they send in the Coast Guard to slow things down a little. And the oil keeps flowing, while Congress works in the back rooms to give Obama control of...everything. How long does one day's worth of work stoppage on the cleanup actually prolong the mess? Days? Weeks, even? Enough time for the Democrats to pull a "health care reform" end-run with cap and trade?

Who can say? Not the media, of course. They've been barred. Wonder why?

Chris Christie: A Leading Bully?

According to the people of New Jersey:

New Jersey voters give Gov. Christopher Christie a split 44 - 43 percent job approval rating and 44 percent describe him as a "leader," while 43 percent call him a "bully," according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Voters also say 52 - 38 he is "confrontational," rather than "honest and refreshing."

While a 44%-43% positive mix may seem like a pretty thin margin, when you consider the deep Blue roots of this state and it's high union membership, those figures are actually pretty impressive. Especially compared to the unfavorable numbers handed out to virtually every other politician:

Gov. Christie's split approval rating is higher than for any other elected leader in the state except President Barack Obama, who gets a 50 - 46 percent approval rating. Voters disapprove of other leaders:

62 - 19 percent of the way the State Legislature is handling its job;
43 - 32 percent of the job their local state assembly member is doing;
44 - 40 percent of the job their local state senator is doing;
47 - 40 percent of the job U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg is doing, his worst score ever;
43 - 38 percent of the job U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez is doing, his highest disapproval ever.

All of a sudden Christie's 44% approval rating looks as big as his appetite. And don't be fooled by Obama's 50% approval - once you subtract out folks who are afraid of being called a racist, his number would likely be in the Robert Menendez (D-La Raza) zone.

And speaking of which - looks like the residents of New Jersey finally woke up and realized their elected representatives, in the form of their Senators, do not represent them at all, but are simply foot soldiers for Nancy Pelosi in her war to make all of America look like San Francisco. These two assclowns vote "yes" on whatever insane scheme she hatches - cap and trade, healthcare reform, tax increases - with no thought or regard to the pain they are inflicting on the people they claim to represent.

Lautenberg is unlikely to live out his term. Menendez had better hope Congress gets legislation through allowing illegal immigrants to vote if he expects to have a chance in 2012...

Obama's Oil Spill Speech: Written at a 10th Grade Level!

...and yet, we are told that it went "over the heads" of his target audience - the American people. From CNN, of course:

President Obama's speech on the gulf oil disaster may have gone over the heads of many in his audience, according to an analysis of the 18-minute talk released Wednesday.

Tuesday night's speech from the Oval Office of the White House was written to a 9.8 grade level, said Paul J.J. Payack, president of Global Language Monitor. The Austin, Texas-based company analyzes and catalogues trends in word usage and word choice and their impact on culture.

Though the president used slightly less than four sentences per paragraph, his 19.8 words per sentence "added some difficulty for his target audience," Payack said...

...because we are all just stupid Americans, who better relate to Texas cowboys and picture books than true genius as personified by Barack Hussein Obama.

And yet...why did it seem, based on interest, focus group response, and public reactions - that people understood Obama's "point"all to well?

Here's the crux of the problem that the Left, in all of their infinite wisdom, simply cannot grasp: We do tune out the president when he talks to us at a 10th grade level. But it's not because we're unable to understand what is being said. It's because we are smart enough to understand what is being said, and we don't like it. Furthermore, we understand what is being implied by a president who talks to us like high school freshman and sophomores, and we don't like that either....

Obama/Biden Plan A Summer of Economic Kabuki Dances

Couldn't believe my eyes when I read this piece this morning...just how stupid does the Obama administration think the American people are?

Plenty, apparently:

OBAMA, BIDEN DECLARE “RECOVERY SUMMER”: Vice President Biden today will kick off “Recovery Summer,” a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works. Biden will present President Obama with a report laying out a spike in stimulus activity this summer, and how it will contribute to a steady climb to a total of 3.5 million Recovery Act jobs by the end of the year. Biden, Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks....

And I'll bet there are golf courses within driving distance of most of them...

Professor Obama still believes that a thing is so simply because he says it is. Even it that were true - the ultimate ego-maniacal fantasy - the perfesser still has a problem:

...Obama is no longer a draw, and the public is tuning him out — and off. It is a function of both his overexposure and his polarizing effect....

And the ones who are listening have long since learned to break the code:

[I] was also struck by the reaction of the people in the Frank Luntz citizen panel featured by Sean Hannity in his Fox show after the speech. I expected them to find the speech weak, but I was surprised to hear so many argue that Obama’s rhetoric had focused on getting cap-and-trade legislation passed rather than on responding pragmatically to the oil spill.
This surprised me because Obama was actually oblique and nonspecific in his agenda-related references....

....Frank Luntz’s panelists saw it differently. As far as most of them were concerned, Obama is not letting the crisis go to waste at all. Regardless of what he said, what they heard was that the president is more focused on passing cap-and-trade than on controlling the consequences of the oil spill.
If Luntz’s panelists are truly representative, as he labors to ensure they are, then there seems to be a decisive loss for Obama of the benefit of public doubt.

Well, he's still got about a third of the nation following him like lost puppies; that should hopefully be enough to feed Obama's grandiose delusions of power....and success. See what happens when everyone in school gets an "A" so as not to hurt their self-esteem? They all come out thinking they are actually, well...smart.

I'm guessing that this remaining ragtag pack of devotees should help him, like Alvin Greene, garner about 20% or so of the vote in the next general election...

Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy: The Work Of Al-Qaeda?

OK, while we've had our fun with the possibility of Obama orchestrating a Grand Conspiracy in the Gulf, by blowing up Deepwater Horizon in order to advance his radical agenda (oh, see here, here, here, over here, read this, and here, definitely read this, and this is somewhat related as well), there are others who have conspiracy theories as well, and in the sense of fairness, and the liberalista "all ideas are equal if I agree with them", I'll share another that I picked up in the New York Post.

Well, from the comment section, anyway:

Despite the Media claiming oil’s hitting the American coast in the Gulf, there have been no pictures of the oil-stained beaches, and just a handful of shots of dirty pelicans and a few other birds covered in oil.

The Gulf Oil Disaster has been billed as much worse than the Exxon spill in Alaska, but we remember almost instant and prolonged video coverage of every critter and patch of beach that was tainted by oil back in the 80s.

Maybe this sort of thing is only properly photographed and cataloged when a Republican is president. When a Democrat is in the Oval, the Media could possibly run out of film.

OR something far worse could be happening that the White House is trying to cover up.

......

...it has been speculated that the Deepwater Horizon explosion could be used as a diversion from something even worse that’s happening, but is not being reported on. What if Muslims have attacked some sort of oil operation on Grand Isle in Louisiana, or somewhere else in the Gulf, and the damage done there is such a blow to the US energy producing sector that Obama is not allowing reporting on it…because, frankly, with all of his coddling of Islam, that would be politically detrimental to him.

On Grand Isle, it’s being reported that the military is seizing citizen videos and detaining people who are trying to report on what’s going on. Military vehicles are coming in and out, with giant cranes and other building supplies. What’s going on there? What are they building or repairing? Why all the secrecy?

....

What’s really happening on Grand Isle?Do you think there’s something more in play here?Could THIS be the real reason for that job-killing moratorium that was placed on the oil industry in the Gulf?

If you needed a convenient way to explain a sudden work stoppage, this could be it. Otherwise, if work had to stop abruptly because of a Muslim attack in the Gulf, the White House and Justice Department would have to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions, now that the misunderstood Care Bears of Islam have attacked Americans, on American soil, yet again...

I've wondered a bit about the media blackout as well. Something that seems more akin to a UFO crash (and that a whole different conspiracy theory, that I'll save for another day) than an oil spill. Curious...

But based on Obama's beyond-tepid speech last night - and despite the expected cry for a "cap and trade" bill - I'm starting to wonder if he had the energy - or the intelligence - to pull off any kind of a scam whatsoever

Not sure I buy the al-Qaeda angle either. But to quote the great philosopher Homer J. Simpson, "Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter..."

Biggest Lie By Any Politician Today...

...I think even The One would be hard pressed to top this one...first the story, out of charming Newark, New Jersey:

Newark red light cams catch more than 20K motorists, make $500K in 5 months

...Red has meant green for the state’s largest city. In the five-month period that ended in April, the red light cameras raked in nearly half a million dollars for the cash-strapped city, according to figures released by the Newark Municipal Court.

Between Dec. 17 and the end of April, the city fined 20,769 drivers with running red lights and other moving violations. More than 12,000 motorists had paid their fines by the end of April. The city’s cut was $492,802.

OK, that's the setup. But I'll bet you can see this one coming a mile away - from Newark's "acting business administrator", one Mike Greene:

"The administration’s main concern was the safety of our residents, not the revenue gain," Mike Greene said. "A side benefit is that those drivers who do run a light are going to be fined."

Oh, BULL-SH*T! If that's the case, why aren't we hearing from the "acting safety commissioner", or whatever title the city of Newark would give to a position that I am sure exists (at least on their payroll)? Oh, wait - because the data "isn't out yet" on it's safety benefits! Hmmm...

Meanwhile, Greene walks right over his half-hearted "safety" claim by going on and on - not about safety - but about the big bucks the cameras are raking in:

"It’s created a recurring revenue stream the city can utilize for its budget," Greene said. "It’s not earmarked specifically for any one thing. But with the economic downturn, it’s good to have the revenue stream."

I'm sure - in a city owned lock, stock and barrel by the Democrats - those dollars are already earmarked for something, if not somewhere (as in an official's pocket). But, like health care reform and cap and trade, remember - it's not about the money! Nothing to see here at the bank, just line up and pay your fines, your fees, your taxes....

Meet The Anti-Obama: Jersey's Chris Christie

First - how bad was Obama's speech last night? So bad that my Yahoo homepage didn't have a blaring headline in praise of it, only misleading bottom stories like Poll: Democrats hold slender edge over GOP on economy that seemed more designed to distract from last night's debacle than anything else.

A few quick summaries:

Jen Rubin: Frankly, Obama was a crashing bore...
Jonah Goldberg: If we could defeat Hitler, we can hike your utility bills! If we could put a man on the moon, we can put an American manufacturing job in India! Yes, we can!
Ann Althouse: ...such embarrassing cliché rhetoric: Some say we can't do it. I say we can't not do it.

Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews:
Olbermann:It was a great speech if you were on another planet for the last 57 days.”
Olbermann:
Nothing specific at all was said.”
Matthews: “No direction.”
Olbermann:I don’t think he aimed low, I don’t think he aimed at all. It’s startling.”
Matthews:
Ludicrous that he keeps saying [Secretary of Energy] Chu has a Nobel prize. “I’ll barf if he does it one more time.”

Now folks, if you want to see the anti-Obama, a politician who tells you how it is with no pomp, preening, or politics, well...here's your man: New Jersey's Chris Christie. Via The Right Scoop - start at the beginning of this town hall video (note Republicans are not afraid to actually, you know, go out and talk with their constituents) where he talks about accountability (hello, Mr. President!), but I like the part around the :50 mark (I am partially paraphrasing below):

We know - we were taught by our parents - that you don't get something for nothing in this world... but the government over the past few years has been telling you that you can get something that someone else will pay for....and now those chickens have come home to roost...

Someone get this man into the White House....stat!

UPDATE: Via Instapundit:

Am I crazy, or is an overweight man with a thick New Jersey accent the most effective communicator of commonsense conservative principles in America today?

Chris Christie has bull rushed his way to the front of the 2012 pack of presidential contenders. I think we’ve got a great crop of potentials, but I can easily imagine the majority of moderates (even some moderate liberals) in the northeast section of the country listening to Mr. Christie and nodding their heads in agreement. If you look at the subject video, everyone in the room is hanging on his every word. People of every race are in the crowd and he’s just laying it down for them.

Bob Etheridge - Redefining The Relationships Of Power

...let’s be clear — this is assault and battery. The fact that Congressman Etheridge (D-NC) only struck at the camera is not relevant. Because the camera was being held by the student at the time, striking it is legally the same as striking the student. And certainly holding on to the student’s arm and locking an arm around the kid’s neck qualifies.

-The Moderate Voice

We are coming to cusp of a moment in history, one which will ultimately be decided in the 2010 mid-terms, but who's battle is being waged - literally - on the streets as we speak (or write). The question that begs the moment: Do we work for our government (and this includes not only elected officials, but federal employees), or does government work for us? Or put more eloquently, are we citizens in a Democracy or subjects in a "Republic"?

There is no doubt where Bob Etheridge stands; Congressman Bob feels he has the authority to physically strike teenagers who ask him questions about his policy positions. There is no doubt where Obama and the Democrats stand as a whole; the fact that they have passed a health care bill against the wishes of 60% of the American people and will be confiscating our wealth for decades to pay for it speaks volumes about how they see our "relationship". Not unlike a lazy, do-nothing husband buying a new car, telling his wife the payments will come out of her paycheck, then slapping her when she begins to ask questions.

But most importantly, a Congress comprised of true "representatives", and not simply career politicians, would be aghast at an attack by its membership on their constituents (and yes, every Congressman represents all of America to some degree or another). While only 24 hours has passed, and Etheridge - despite the video - has the right to defend himself, some sort of action or statement should have been issued by Congress promptly. After all, Etheridge has already confessed, albeit like a true Democrat, trying to paint himself as the victim:

At the hastily called news conference addressing the incident, Rep. Etheridge couldn't help defending himself by suggesting that he wasn't in top form at the time: "The truth is I had a long day. I've had bad days many times. It's not a good crutch to lean on and I won't use that." Calling on the politician's ancient rhetorical device of praeteritio, Etheridge somehow managed to serve up his long day as an excuse. Any crutch in a storm.

Indeed, Etheridge leaned on one more bad crutch in his statement: "No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response." As we can see for ourselves on the video, Rep. Etheridge himself is an unintrusive, nonpartisan kind of guy. Stop him before he leans on a bad crutch again.

The fact that he refuses to resign, that nobody in Congress has asked him to, and that the DCC is already out defending his actions, makes it obvious where Etheridge, and the Democratic party, feels he is - and you are - in the social pecking order. In other words - step off, prole, before you get slapped down.

Is this the new relationship between the United States government and their people? We'll see, come November, if the nation is in a mood to renew its vows....

Obama's Address From The Oval Office: Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy Unveiled?

Interesting that Barack Obama compared the Gulf oil spill to the 9/11 attacks on America. Well, I guess in Barack Obama's mind, 11 dead and an oily mess is the equivalent to 3000 murdered and two key American cities with huge holes on the ground.

That's sick enough. But what's worse is the way he is about to use this cynical, rhetorical, professorial analogy to entrap and enslave Americans into a "cap & trade" carbon emissions scam that will send energy prices skyrocketing. Just wait for his speech tonight, rumors are already flying:

President Barack Obama will outline his plan to deal with the leaking BP oil well in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as an approach toward reducing U.S. dependence on fossil fuels in his Tuesday night speech to the nation, a White House spokesman said.

Smells like "cap and tax" to me. How convenient - just after the president announces (in his first act of bi-partisanship) he might think about letting some states consider studying offshore drilling at some point in the future, an oil rig blows up, allowing him to walk back his previous comments, impose limits on drilling (based on lies), and prop up his beloved cap and trade bill, one which will drain billions out of the productive American economy and into the social welfare system being created by the Democrats.

I'm curious - did Barack Obama ever profess belief in the 9/11 Truther's doctrine, the one that stated George Bush destroyed the World Trade Center so he could start a "war for oil"? Maybe Barack Obama (believing that, whatever Bush could do, he could do better) destroyed the BP Deepwater Horizon drilling rig to start a war against oil. In this scenario, the oil spill is the equal of the 9/11 attacks, BP is al-Qaeda, and Obama is George W. Bush - but a kinder, more intelligent, more compassionate, enlightened George W. Bush. Obama didn't kill American citizens for oil profits, but to start a just war - against oil profits!

Of course, Obama is counting on Americans to deliver to him two things - things that all liberals expect from Americans - gullibility and stupidity. He honestly believes he can sell this scenario to the public, based on his smooth oratory and the backdrop of the Oval Office. Well, I guess anything is possible, but what is equally likely is that Americans will fly into a rage at a president who cheapens their dead and tries to use their memory, and this utterly convenient oil spill, to impose further government control onto their lives. He'll invoke the Patriot Act and Homeland Security (look! he is going to appoint a "oil recovery czar"! Seriously!) as precedents, but I don't think anyone will be sold on his dime-novel hysterics....except for the mainstream media, who believe that protecting pelicans is more moral than protecting American citizens....

And with the failure of this speech, and the failure to contain the spill, Obama's conspiracy will begin to unravel. Ken Salazar will resign, Rahm Emanuel will hang himself, and Obama will be revealed as no more than a real-life Lex Luther - a clever, but flawed, criminal, by no means as smart as he imagines himself to be...

Watch it unfold, tonight, live on TV....

UPDATE: How could I have missed the most obvious reason for Barack Obama to blow up an oil rig? To loot the oil companies money before nationalizing them! I sh*t thee not:

President Barack Obama is poised to seize the handling of oil spill damage claims from BP, his chief spokesman said Tuesday, as Obama sought to reassure people he's up to the enormous challenge of helping them recover from the environmental disaster

On the matter of the disputed damage payments, Gibbs said, "We have to get an independent claims process. I think everyone agrees that we have to get BP out of the claims processes ...

He noted in one interview that Obama "has the legal authority" to make the claims process independent. And Gibbs said "the best way to prevail upon BP is to take the claims process away from BP."

I wonder how well seizing the assets of a multi-national organization is going to sit with other businesses who now might re-consider plans to set up operation in the United States.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have elected Hugo Chavez. And yes, I realize that about 33% of you are quite happy with that...

The Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy: Did The Brits Do It?

On this blog, we've been convinced that the explosion of, and ensuing oil leakage from, the BP Horizon Deepwater rig was an inside job pulled off by the Obama administration in order to walk back its timid support for offshore drilling (while still maintaining that at least he tried a "bipartisan" solution) and simultaneously allowing them to jam through a "cap and trade" carbon bill, one that would likely destroy the private sector but in the meantime would help pay for the social welfare programs imposed by the Democrats. And create a few jobs to brag about in the interim.

But perhaps there is another culprit here...could the BP explosion and oil spill have been engineered by the British in order to irreparably harm Barack Obama, the most anti-British American president since George Washington?

Brit Peter Hitchens:

It may help us all grow up and stop fawning on Washington. Far too many people – many of them academics, many politicians – continue to jabber about a supposed ‘special relationship’ between our two countries.
I used to think that no such thing existed. Recently, I have become convinced that it does, and that it is in fact a Specially Bad Relationship.

Not under George W. Bush, it wasn't. But from the day Obama walked into office and tossed aside the bust of Winston Churchill with disdain and disgust, paired with his incredibly cheap and thougtless gifts to the Prime Minister of England, he has made it clear that he has no need for an alliance with the European superpower. Is it revenge for the alleged torture of his grandfather and the hands of the British back in the 1940's? Or is his poisonous attitude being fed by the loathsome Michelle Obama? The Brits were wise to this over a year ago:

We may just LURVE Michelle's fashion sense. But Michelle doesn't reciprocate our affection, one bit. Her broad-brush view of history associates Brits with the wicked white global hegemony responsible for the slave trade. Never mind that a white, Tory Englishman - William Wilberforce - brought the slave trade to an end. Judging by her record, Michelle does not make room for such subtle nuance.

And still the British beat-down continues, with Obama referring to BP as "BRITISH Petroleum", while English pensioners shiver as their savings dwindle with each caustic administration threat against one of England's biggest companies....

But let's go back a second. How would the Brits benefit from the oil spill in the Gulf?

-David Cameron, the new Prime Minister, is a Conservative. Obama - besides loathing the PM personally, as he does all conservatives - shares nothing in the way of Cameron's vision for the future.
-Cameron knows he needs a conservative American president in order for the world economy to have any chance of avoiding a total collapse. If we continue our current ways, we'll be pulling the rest of the world off a cliff with us, Euro bailouts or not.
-Geo-politically, Cameron is aware of the dangers of radical Islam and a nuclear Iran. Obama seems ready to surrender the West to both. The British cannot hold them off alone, no more than they could the Nazis.
-Nick Clegg, Cameron's governing partner, may be Obama-esque in governing philosophy but knows politically he needs a foil. He cannot blast ally Obama for Britain's (and the world's) failings, but a Republican leader? It would be Bush redux, allowing Clegg to push Cameron towards all types of social welfare while throwing American/Republican smoke bombs at the British people.
-OR could BP had done it themselves? Far-fetched (unlike everything else I have written on the topic, I know!), but a short-term loss could equate to a long term gain, as Obama lusts to destroy the oil companies, steal their treasure, and leave us at the mercy of windmills forever...so blow up a rig, lose a few billion, but avoid cap and trade. Would they have cleared it with the British government? And if so - based on the treatment they have received from Baracky - would there have been even one dissenting voice amongst England's leadership?

So the Brits blow up BP's rig in the Gulf, and sit back and watch an already flailing president sink before their eyes. The way becomes paved for a Republican takeover of the nation, giving Cameron a much-needed international partner and Clegg a much-needed international enemy. OK, granted, the spill started about a week before Cameron/Clegg was elected, but was there really ever any doubt?

Likely, Cameron/Clegg did not anticipate how out of hand the whole thing would become, but notice their sincere lack of apology for what has been wrought by a British company. Across the Big Pond, their conspiracy may be kept hidden forever, as Obama gets eaten by his own...

Democrat Bob Etheridge Assaults Students...

...who had the nerve to...ask him a question:

Look at the way he held the kids arm, look at the fury in his voice. In a sane democracy this assh*le would be brought up on charges - or at least, ethics violations - in fifteen minutes. It's an assault, plain and simple.

And this isn't the first time Etheridge has showered abuse on folks that dared to ask him a question...here is this human scumb*g verbally abusing a U.S. Marine for questioning him on his support of ObamaCare, refusing to answer the question and sneering about his "free" health care:

Renee Ellmers is his opponent 2010; a self-proclaimed "tea party" conservative, she's a medical professional and Sunday school teacher. In other words, an average citizen trying to unseat a self-proclaimed "Burgher Meister".

Support her here.

Update: Some good stuff out there...via Will Collier:

Congressman, to quote the movie Backdraft, "You see that flash of light in the corner of your eye? That's your career dissipation light. It just went into high gear."

And from I Hate the Media:

In answer to his own question (“Who are youuuuuuu?”), Ethridge’s answer seems to be “The soon-to-be former Democrat congressman from North Carolina.”

And Ann Althouse catches the Washington Post trying to sweep it under the rug (they're too busy investigating the "Tea Party" for hate crimes, don't you know), and gives props to a reader who calls them out:

Here's how WaPo's Dave Wiegel minimizes the story:
But without any name or organizational support, just by riling up a member of Congress, the students have created the first conservative meme of the week. They seem to have learned from organizations such as ThinkProgress that any video of a member acting strangely, no matter how grainy, is grist for the Web.

And Wiegel is aptly embarrassed by the first comment:

You refer to this dismissively as "video of a member acting strangely." Sorry, this isn't so easily dismissed. It's video of a member acting thuggishly, committing an assault and battery. And it's video of a member who has the arrogance to claim he has a right to know the identity of someone who asked me a question on the street. He doesn't have any such right. What he has is the dangerous notion that he's exempt from the laws of the District of Columbia and from the dictates of a civil society. And by your so cavalierly dismissing his outrageous behavior, you're complicit.

Obama To Transfer Another $50 Billion From the Private Sector To The Public Sector

Remember, every time your taxes go up, it is to save someone else's job. Someone who is on the public tit, and must be prevented - at all costs - from feeling the pinch of the greatest recession in 70 years:

President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid "massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters" and to support the still-fragile economic recovery.

In a letter to congressional leaders, Obama defended last year's huge economic stimulus package, saying it helped break the economy's free fall, but argued that more spending is urgent and unavoidable. "We must take these emergency measures," he wrote in an appeal aimed primarily at members of his own party

So more and more monies are drained from the private sector (who do you thinks provides the $50 billion that Obama is begging for here?) in order to insulate government employees from the reality around them. Remember, to the president, their jobs, their livelihood, their very lives are more important than yours, and if you must be driven into bankruptcy via higher taxation to fund the pay increases, pension payouts, and generous benefits that federal employees are entitled to, well...consider that your "skin in the game". Now pay up, and don't complain, or you will be labeled selfish. Or, in a pinch, racist.

How much blood can Obama drain from a body that is already struggling to survive, until the point is reached where it simply collapses under its own weight, and perishes?

Looks like Professor Obama is interested in finding out. He experiments on us, and while we scream in pain, he feels nothing, and just continues on with his butchery, oblivious to the moans of despair and the looks of horror all around him...

Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy: Salazar & Browner Caught Changing The Facts To Fit The Politics

To review briefly: The Obama/Rahm Emanuel plot to blow up BP Deepwater Horizon, as in why:

Support drilling, take some flack from your own side and appear "bi-partisan". Blow up the rig, sit back and do nothing while the spill grows in size, and use the hysterical coverage as a smoke screen to renege on your vow to expand drilling, while simultaneously pleasing your base by imposing even more draconian legislation on the oil industry.

We wrote that back on May 4th. And of course, in short order a moratorium was placed upon offshore drilling by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. Poor Ken - he thought the smoke was thick enough to cover up whatever statistical fudging needed to be done to support the swing away from domestic drilling, as the administration wanted. Alas, he did not count on the scientists to actually speak up after the fact to tell the nation that the
Gulf oil spill is a big freakin' scam:

The seven experts who advised President Obama on how to deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion are accusing his administration of misrepresenting their views to make it appear that they supported a six-month drilling moratorium -- something they actually oppose.

The experts, recommended by the National Academy of Engineering, say Interior Secretary Ken Salazar modified their report last month, after they signed it, to include two paragraphs calling for the moratorium on existing drilling and new permits.

Salazar's report to Obama said a panel of seven experts "peer reviewed" his recommendations, which included a six-month moratorium on permits for new wells being drilled using floating rigs and an immediate halt to drilling operations.

"None of us actually reviewed the memorandum as it is in the report," oil expert Ken Arnold told Fox News. "What was in the report at the time it was reviewed was quite a bit different in its impact to what there is now. So we wanted to distance ourselves from that recommendation."

In other words, the experts told Salazar one thing, and he wrote a report saying something quite the opposite, while claiming it was "scientist endorsed".

In most professions, this would get you fired. In some areas - public service, one would think - this type of conduct would be criminal. But lying - or blowing up oil rigs - in the service of the "public good" (destroying Big Oil) is A-Ok in the warped morality of the Obama administration.

And the administration's "energy advisor", Carol Browner, goes one step stupider and tries to
defend the indefensible:

"No one's been deceived or misrepresented," Browner told Fox News, defending the moratorium as a safety measure. "These experts gave their expert advice, and then a determination was made looking at all of the information, including what these experts provided -- that there should be a pause, and that's exactly what there is. There's a pause."

But Carol - you lying sack of sh*t - that's not what the experts said at all - as a matter of fact, the scientists the complete opposite:

"A blanket moratorium is not the answer," they wrote in a letter claiming Interior Department Secretary Ken Salazar's report "misrepresents" their position. "A blanket moratorium will have the indirect effect of harming thousands of workers and further impact state and local economies suffering from the spill."

Carol Browner and Ken Salazar - caught fabricating evidence and forcing results based on political ideology as opposed to the truth. And in Carol's instance, lying about it after the fact.

These two idiots may or may not have been part of Obama's conspiracy to blow up the BP rig, poison the Gulf, and use the ensuing anger and chaos to completely eliminate domestic drilling and impose a cap & trade regimen, thus creating a classic socialist-style command economy (and you were curious why Barack doesn't seem even the least bit angry about any of this? Why should he? It's working out exactly the way he planned!). But even if they weren't in the know, out of a combination of deceit, loyalty, and sheer stupidity, they have stepped in the middle of a quickly unraveling conspiracy.

The center never holds, Barack. It's all falling apart, and the truth is seeping out like oil from a ....oh, never mind. But the question is, can you hide the sludge until after the November elections have passed? Not if dirty, oily birds like Browner and Salazar keep washing up on shore...

Arizona's Immigration Law: Media Paints Features As Bugs

I really, really, think the media is missing the point - and the overwhelming opinion of the American people - with their relentless criticism of Arizona's new illegal immigrant laws. In their breathless - albeit vain - attempts to prove that these new statutes are the second coming of National Socialism, they wind up proving the case of the law's proponents.

To wit - from the
CSM, in an article that was featured on Yahoo yesterday:

Hispanics abandon Arizona, fleeing economy, immigration law

Sounds bad, right? Well, truthfully, the first thing our intrepid writers admit is that they really have zero proof of this statement whatsoever:

Arizona’s hard-hitting immigration law is driving Hispanics out of the state weeks before the controversial law goes into effect.

Although concrete figures are not available, anecdotal evidence suggests Hispanics, both legal residents and illegal immigrants, are starting to flee.

Ah. Anecdotal evidence. Good enough for liberal hysteria, I reckon. Now they point out what happened the last time Arizona tightened restrictions on illegals:

Critics contend the law could lead to racial profiling of Hispanics. It could also force an exodus of scared immigrants – legal and illegal. Nearly 100,000 illegal immigrants left Arizona after it passed a 2007 law that penalized businesses that hired them, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

So, in other words, the laws have been working exactly as intended. And again, there is zero proof given for the contention that legal immigrants are being affected.

So let's look at that headline again: Hispanics abandon Arizona, fleeing economy, immigration law

Perhaps, in a world where the media was even somewhat unbiased, it would read:

Early evidence shows Arizona law working as intended

But that wouldn't scare anybody, nor paint conservatives as hate-mongering racist second cousins of the Nazi regime, would it?

So the media lies, instead.

Americans have long since become accustomed to this, though, and they'll be able to read between the lines. The media will become more and more frustrated as their distortions of reality become more and more opaque.

So what will they do? Become more honest in their reporting? Or, in a blind rage and fury at the stubbornness of the American people in refusing to accept their narrative, will they decide that the haven't "communicated well enough", and thus double their propaganda efforts?

Gee, that's a hard one...

UPDATE: And then, of course, there is certain information that they won't tell you, as it doesn't fit the narrative...

Helen Thomas Gets a New Gig !

...as the "Immigration Minister" of Arizona. Colin Cohen, posting at When Falls The Coliseum, reports from the introductory press conference:

THOMAS: Thank you, Governor. And thank you, my former colleagues. I just have a few short remarks and then I’ll take some of your questions. . . . Mexicans, get the hell out of Arizona. This is not your land. Go back to Mexico, or Spain, or Portugal — or wherever.

REPORTER 1: How do you plan to tackle our state’s immigration problem?

THOMAS: I plan to use the tactics of Hamas and Hezbollah — whom I’ve always admired —and fire rockets indiscriminately into Mexican neighborhoods. That should get them moving.

REPORTER 2: What do you say to those who insist that the Mexicans are the original inhabitants of Arizona — that they were dispersed by the American invasion in the 19th century?

THOMAS: Are you Jewish? You certainly look Jewish. Next question.

Alas, these tactics are only permissible - nay, praiseworthy - against the Jews. When used against any other race or creed, it's a hate crime. Genocide. An act of war.

Clear on the (double) standards yet?

Is Snooki a Conservative?

Our favorite Jersey Shore honey has some interesting commentary on Barack Obama's recent tax increases...especially the ones which hit home:

In a clip from: "Jersey Shore Season 2 Sneak Peek", Snooki's politics are revealed:

In the clip, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi stands in the middle of her pink bedroom with her eyes closed and her hands pressed to her hairline as her boyfriend mists her face with a third coating of spray-on tan. All of this seems like normal behavior for the Jersey Shore “guidette,” but the political commentary that ensues is not.

In the interview that follows this scene, Snooki takes aim at the Obama White House.

“I don’t go tanning-tanning anymore because Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning, and I feel like he did that intentionally for us,” Snooki says. “McCain would never put a 10 percent tax on tanning because he’s pale and he would probably want to be tan.”

Read the rest here, as McCain jumps into the fray and declares Obama's tax and spend policy as "quite The Situation".

Tax hikes such as these, while painless to the political class and its hanger-ons, are felt by the common beach slu - I mean, common man - every day, whether that new tax is on a bottle of soda, a gallon of gasoline, or on a "pale" girl's tan.

This racist tan-tax goes a bit further, as it prevents medical consumers who suffer with eczema from using a low-cost treatment system, instead forcing them to use expensive in-patient procedures that accomplish no more than a tanning booth would. But even Snookie is smart enough to know that this is what happens when you pass a bill in order to find out what's in it...

Gulf Oil Spill Conspiracy: Blindfold the Media!

As the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill conspiracy starts to unravel (directed by Obama? Or ordered by Rahm Emanuel, who certainly had the connections?), the administration scrambles in an attempt to make the center hold. Their latest attempt at hiding the damage done by their ill-conceived plot to force a confrontation over energy policy: Blocking media access to the disaster site.

Something out of Communist China? Welcome to hope and change...the New York Times reports:

A pilot wanted to take a photographer from The Times-Picayune of New Orleans to snap photographs of the oil slicks blackening the water. The response from a BP contractor who answered the phone late last month at the command center was swift and absolute: Permission denied.

“We were questioned extensively. Who was on the aircraft? Who did they work for?” recalled Rhonda Panepinto, who owns Southern Seaplane with her husband, Lyle. “The minute we mentioned media, the answer was: ‘Not allowed.’ ”

Journalists struggling to document the impact of the oil rig explosion have repeatedly found themselves turned away from public areas affected by the spill, and not only by BP and its contractors, but by local law enforcement, the Coast Guard and government officials.

And it's not just the average schmuck who's turned away from the muck..even Democratic Senators are getting cut-blocked:

Last week, Senator Bill Nelson, Democrat of Florida, tried to bring a small group of journalists with him on a trip he was taking through the gulf on a Coast Guard vessel. Mr. Nelson’s office said the Coast Guard agreed to accommodate the reporters and camera operators. But at about 10 p.m. on the evening before the trip, someone from the Department of Homeland Security’s legislative affairs office called the senator’s office to tell them that no journalists would be allowed.

“They said it was the Department of Homeland Security’s response-wide policy not to allow elected officials and media on the same ‘federal asset,’ ” said Bryan Gulley, a spokesman for the senator. “No further elaboration” was given, Mr. Gulley added.

What the f*ck is the Department of Homeland Security doing denying access to the site of an oil spill? This is not a battlefield with enemies roaming the perimeter, this is not the aftermath of a suicide bomb, with body parts still to be scraped up - these are beaches with oil on them! Who's security is in danger by snapping pictures of that?

A-ha. Only a few people, actually. Political folks, mostly, who would be harmed if continued negative publicity came out via pictures of oil-stained sands. The same folks who really don't seem to want people asking any questions, who were trying to muzzle scientists early on, and now are trying to muzzle the press.

Barack Obama. Rahm Emanuel. And the folks at BP, whose hands are just as dirty with Democratic money as they are with spewing oil.

Almost makes you think they have something to hide...a conspiracy, one might say....

Elton John Gets The Bum's Rush

A mini "scandal" of sorts, when it leaked out that Elton John - amazing talented, flamboyantly gay - played at the wedding of Rush Limbaugh. Or should I say, "played at the wedding of the fear-mongering, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, hate-spewing Rush Limbaugh"?

But it turns out that John's views on gay marriage are pretty much in line with America's favorite talk show host:

"What is wrong with Proposition 8 is that they went for marriage. Marriage is going to put a lot of people off, the word marriage… I don’t want to be married. I’m very happy with a civil partnership. If gay people want to get married, or get together, they should have a civil partnership… You get the same equal rights that we do when we have a civil partnership. Heterosexual people get married. We can have civil partnerships.” – Elton John

Personally, I agree with Elton 100%. Ironically, most of the gay people that I know are also opposed to gay marriage (in which they will constantly point out that one of the whole points of being gay is the lack of commitment; they fear that if gay marriage becomes institutionalized, the fun will be over, and they will wind up like every other straight guy whose girlfriend is badgering them for a ring) as well. I guess they're not activists, just....regular people. So what do they know?

But back to Elton.

Elton has tried to bring those who don't agree with him not necessarily over to his side, but to a place of mutual understanding, respect, and kindness towards each other. And that's not easy to do. Just ask Barack Obama, who talks about bi-partisanship but fills every speech, statement, and press conference with scathing oratory and invective against his detractors, and who refuses to meet/talk with those who don't share his worldview (see Jan Brewer, the president of BP, etc.). He could learn a thing or two from Sir Elton.

Not surprisingly, for his bravery, Elton is paying the price:

"I'm flabbergasted," Aaron Hicklin, Editor-in-Chief of Out, told PopEater. "It betrays either ignorance or self-interest or both, and jeopardizes his admirable record on gay rights."

Michael Musto of the Village Voice called the Rocket Man a "whore" for his actions on Monday’s "Countdown With Keith Olbermann." And blogs like Queerty.com as well as the comment sections at websites for The Advocate and Out Magazine have been lighting up with tsks about the singer's apparent hypocrisy, according to PopEater.

Still, it seems unlikely that the Rocket Man will admit fault in his apparent support of the conservative couple....

The media wants Elton to flagellate himself for trying to reach across the aisle to promote understanding. Apparently, to liberals, that is an unacceptable and unforgivable breach of protocol. Without the hate, they've got nothing.

I urge Elton to continue his outreach; he's done more to soften people's views of the gay community than any shrieking, sign-carrying supporter of Proposition 8. Stay strong; and if I may paraphrase a certain song, the hatred will burn out before your legend ever will...
