Hillary Clinton's Moment Has Passed

Maybe Baracky knew what he was doing when he steadfastly refused to replace Joe Biden on the ticket with Hillary, as the pundits all but demanded earlier in the summer. 'Ol Joe may be as crazy as a shithouse loon, but nobody takes him all that seriously. After all, VP are supposed to be seen, not heard.

But Secretaries of State, well...

Bad enough that the entire Obama re-election campaign, rather than focusing on securing a victory, are now forced to cover up Hillary's snafu in the Middle East, where she apparently left Ambassador Stevens to die undefended before the Islamic hordes. But rather than laying low until the heat's off, Hillary  - who must believe she's bulletproof - decided to give an incendiary class-warfare speech at her husband's foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative.  But unlike Barack, who can soft-peddle his brand of fascism, Hillary once again reinforces her own caricature as a shrill & humorless harpy. And a shockingly ill-informed one, to boot.

Via the Daily Telegraph:

Talking in general terms at the Clinton Global Initiative, Ms Clinton insisted: “There are rich people everywhere and yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries. They don’t invest in public schools, in public hospitals, in other kinds of development internally,” she told the aid foundation set up by her husband, former Democratic president Bill Clinton...

Actually, Hill, the rich foot the lion's share of America's tax bill. The wealthiest 1 percent of the population earn 19 percent of the income but pay 37 percent of the income tax; the top 10 percent pay 68 percent of the tab.  In what reality do they "not contribute"?

You're coming off worse than desperate, honey - you're coming off as stupid.

Maybe if you weren't wasting our tax dollars on crony capitalism, bailouts and handouts to favored constituencies, we might have enough money for your greedy little Christmas list above.

And is is not more than a bit inappropriate for the head of State to be politicking so crassly in the middle of multiple international crises; at a time when America's very reputation as a world leader is at stake?

Hillary for VP?  Hillary in 2016?  Hillary will be lucky if -  should Obama win another term (God forbid) -  she is able to keep her title of Madame Secretary...
