Is it possible, in his never-ending attempt to one-up Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu (as successful as a certain coyote's quest to devour a delectable road runner), that Barack Obama has been at least peripherally involved in instigated some of the unrest and protest that are spreading across Israel right now? Arutz Sheva reports the following:
Large scale protests / pop concerts dominated by secular Israelis are being held in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem and will include free performances by well known artists. The protesters demand "social justice" and a more equitable economy but their exact demands are not clear.
According to an investigative report by Maariv's Kalman Libeskind, the protests were engineered by a group of media strategists who are directed by prominent Democratic strategist Stanley Greenberg, a former adviser to Bill Clinton, John Kerry and others. Greenberg directed the strategists to create a protest that was not led by one specific group, in order to create social ferment. An unnamed left-wing leader would eventually step into this ferment and take the reins, Greenberg predicted.
Now Greenberg is not a natural ally of Obama - he is a Clinton centrist, center-left as opposed to Obama's off-the-cliff left. But he has written much (and has been mocked much) lately on why Americans ignore their natural ally - the Democratic party, of course - and what it will take to regain their trust. (His theory? Higher taxes on businesses with some Tea Party-type fervor behind it. Good luck with that).
But does it not seem possible - nay, likely - that this is the type of man that Obama would at least consult with on how to fix his own standing? Remember, Greenberg helped elect Bill Clinton (twice!), peacenick Ehud Barack (cue Obama's sigh here), and liberal hero Nelson Mandela Would not Barack Obama at least receive his counsel? And at some point, would they not have at least discussed Greenberg's operations in Israel (which seem to mirror the tactics outlined in the above-linked Times op-ed piece)?
Obama knows what Greenberg is doing. As the head of the Democratic party, if they have operatives in Israel, he's got to be aware of it. And endorsing it.
What a shame that the president is promoting revolution against a popular leader of one our closest allies, while lacking the courage to do the same with declared enemies and rouge states like Iran and Syria.
Expect this, like every other attempt Obama has made to undermine Bibi Netanyahu, to fail miserably. In fact, the epic fail of the Obama/Greenberg Israeli coup is already apparent:
The protesters are mostly secular people and the participation of nationalists in the summer-long protest wave has gradually lessened, as details emerge of left-wing involvement in their organization.
Let's have another look at this two men. Do anyone - outside of the president's fevered imagination - really think Bibi can be taken down by a jive-ass loser like Barack Obama?

This is about the worst blog I've ever seen on the Internet. I love the way you cherry pick facts and don't even bother to check them against, you know, reality. You can't even spell and you have no semblance of grammar yet you have the balls to call our Harvard educated president stupid. Unbelievable.
Surprised you even replied to this guy. He's not even making an argument against your position, just ranting.
And personally, I think he meant to comment on the Hilda Solis post, not on this one. Such a smart guy, can't even figure out how to leave a comment.
Ha! Although, to my chagrin, the phrase "anonymous coward" above should be followed with a question mark, as in "What is this, your first visit to the internet, anonymous coward?"
Never reply in haste, I suppose...
