Osama bin Ladan, and how evil tends to die....

Adolf Hitler died a coward's death, as the leader of the Thousand Year Reich and bringer of a darkness never before seen on Earth put a bullet in his head while crouched in an underground bunker.

Saddam Hussein, a warmonger who gassed his own people, died justly by their hand, as he was strung up by the neck soon after he was dug out of the "spider hole" he had taken refuge in.

Mussolini, too, was strung up, but by the legs as his former subjects hurled debris at him....

Slobodan Milošević, who waged war against Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo as president of Yugoslavia (which too was destroyed), died in a jail cell awaiting trial for crimes against humanity.

Osama bin Ladan joins this illustrious group with a death not quite befitting the heroic image he created for himself:

The story ends with Osama bin Laden hiding behind a woman, using a wife as a human shield....

...dragging her into the 7th rung of Hell with him.  Brave man.

Let those who will laud his life now (and there will be plenty) offer up excuses for his actions in the last minutes of his life....
