Well, we've always called MoveOn a bunch of animals; I'm glad to see that they have proven me right. Sorry, though, that it cost a man his finger. From KTLA:
THOUSAND OAKS -- A 65-year-old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m.About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street. A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform. The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker's pinky, according to Karoli from Drums nWhistles.
Hmmm..."apparently aggressive", huh? A minimum amount of research from KTLA would have shown that "Karoli from Drums n Whistles" is a Moveon fan (member?) and a strong advocate of universal health care. Could this have tainted her unlikely report of a senior citizen belting a younger man? And what was this young man saying as he was "walking through the anti-reform group", anyway ? And regardless, shouldn't KTLA had mentioned Karoli's affiliations when using her account as the definitive one in their story?
Would love to hear additional eyewitness accounts, as this lefty's version seems a bit odd, to say the least.
But overall, not a surprising tale. Takes a lot of rage and hatred to bite a man's finger off. Lord knows that Karoli and her animal buddies from Moveon have that quality in spades...
Update: Politico reports that Moveon admits that "a regrettable act of violence happened", but refuses to take responsibility. Typical liberal chickehsh*t cowering behind the English language here; phrases like "regrettable" and "unhelpful" are often used as cover by the Left to create an assumption that they are denouncing the behavior in question, whilst they are secretly rejoicing. See: any terror attack against Israel, European condemnation of American "torture", and the guy with the finger bitten off....

On Rush's show this morning, Mark Styn interviewed the guy who found the finger. The Move on guy was looking for a confrontation, and chose the most vulnerable person he saw. I always knew these guys were savages, this just underlines the point. Thank God it was just a finger this time.
