The Beeb showed US Ambassador William Brownfield handing out baseball equipment to some kids in a poor neighborhood and being confronted by a man who told him all Americans should leave Venezuela.
Brownfield stated that he "accepts the right to protest and to assemble, and to demonstrate, and of freedom of expression" while rejecting violence. " I reject the right of a group telling me with whom to get together to converse", explained, and added that his job is "to try to project a positive image of the country and people I represent"
Explain to me again why Americans are the root of all evil?

Once again you might like to think about what happened to the newly elected Allende administration in Chile and why it happened, and who was behind the instigation of the military coup.
Or perhaps you could reflect upon what happened in Grenada when they elected a left wing government. Remember that invasion? Was that restoring democracy too?
And why was it that Panama was invaded?
What about Nicaragua and Iran-contra? What was that all about? It sure as h311 was NOT about democracy.

Well, since you mention Grenada...I work with a Grenadian women; both her and her husband were children in Grenada at the time your beloved leftists took over(in a coup, if I recall). They remember 24-hour curfews, militias roaming the streets, chaos and fear.
They both praise America and Ronald Regan effusively. One whom has never had to fight for freedom forgets how precious it is. That's why some Eastern European countries are now stronger allies of the US than Western European nations.
Would you tell my friends they would be better off if America never went to Grenada? They would look at you, look at each other, and laugh uproariously...
Even the Frenh would be denied their anti-Americanism had America not saved them from the Nazis; and even those feckless cowards would think twice before they agree that they would have been better off had they never been liberated...
Want a world without America? Think it would be all peace and clean air and U.N sponsored hand-holding? Yeah, for 15 minutes, until someone else stepped into the power vacuum (nature abhors a vacuum!); and dollars to donuts says it would most likely not be a nation as benevolent as your friendly United States of America!
