What Is It With Barack Obama And Gay Porn?

Male go-go dancers gyrating for Obama?  Oh, you betcha - time for "Go-Go for Obama", at Manhattan's Eastern Bloc:

The crowd of about 150 Obama supporters was cordial and relaxed, a mix of friends and fashion types, partying alongside male dancers wearing Obama ’08 boxer briefs (or, as one did, an American flag-themed thong) stuffed with the requisite $1 bills. (Only door proceeds went to the reelection fund; dancers kept their tips.)

Mickey Boardman, editorial director for New York’s independent Paper Magazine, helped to organize the Eastern Bloc fundraiser...“We do these parties for gay porn stars at Eastern Bloc whenever [they’re] in town from L.A.,” said Boardman. “It’s always a room of Village gays, socialites, porn stars, fashion people. . . . We thought, ‘Why don’t we do a go-go thing at Eastern Bloc for [Obama]?

Still, organizer Will Wikle said the group recognized that the event could make campaign organizers uncomfortable, so they toned down promotional materials....And Wikle said the host committee was diligent in its two months of planning, working with Democratic officials to navigate campaign finance law, something that the organizers knew little about....

Benjamin Maisani, the co-owner of Eastern Bloc, once dated CNN's Anderson Cooper.  Is our mainstream media  the intermediary between the gay pornographers and Barack Obama?

But this is not the first time Obama has worked closely with the gay porn community so as to raise money for his re-election. From Barack Obama Loves That Gay Porn (Money)

"One of the 'bundlers' who has raised $50,000 to $100,000 for the Barack Obama presidential campaign is Terrence Bean, who once controlled the biggest producer of gay porn in America," the Post reported in 2008, during the president's first run the office. "Bean, the first gay on Sen. Obama's National Finance Committee, is the sole trustee of the Charles M. Holmes Foundation, which owned Falcon Studios, Jock Studios and Mustang Studios, the producers of about $10 million worth of all-male pornography a year."

Falcon Studios profits from the sale of "barebacking" videos, featuring anal sex without condoms...

Seems as if the president has pretty deep ties to the gay porn industry.  Funny, I'll bet if he were a Republican there would be somebody investigating that (rather than simply reporting on it with an indulging smirk, as the Washington Post does here.  Of course, if the MSM is facilitating this type of fundraising, as I insinuate above...)

But really...is the president of the United States so hard up for re-election cash that he has to take it from one of the most vile industries in the nation?

The event at Eastern Bloc raised just over $10K for Barack Obama.   That's a pretty cheap price for associating yourself with something very widely viewed as amoral and revolting.

Is there anything that is beneath the dignity of the office, as far as this president is concerned?  Not when it comes to his re-election, apparently.

Final thought - should he be re-elected, what kind of payback can the gay porn "community" expect from the president to whom has taken so much from them?

I'm afraid to even ask...

For some reason, that reminds me of a scene in Gone with the Wind. The good ladies of Atlanta refused to take donations from that "died-hair woman" who ran a brothel. They knew the money was acquired through dishonorable means, and they refused to be associated with it, even though the money was badly needed for The Cause. In contrast, the well-respected Miss Mellie accepted the donation in a private encounter with Miss Belle. Her reasoning was that the money was given with a good heart and a patriotic spirit, without any expectation of some future favor in return. And the whole town knew that if Miss Mellie approved of something, then that something was above reproach.

To stand up for principle today, and to forgo money for doing so, is rare indeed.

And you are correct: the Obamas have no respect for the office of the presidency. They certainly do not have the moral standing to match Miss Mellie, which would bring at least some tinge of respectability to their undignified behavior.

Watch for James Inman out of Tennessee in 2016. Next young change agent. Really impressive. It's going to be hype!
