Shakira As An Obama Appointee? Well, Why Not?

She's certainly as qualified as anyone else in his inner circle.  And she appears to have some sense of business acumen as well. Not to mention that finally there would be someone in the administration that people would actually pay attention to(maybe not necessarily to what she was saying, but it would still be an improvement). Hmmm...maybe she's over-credentialed for this bunch?

"Not quite presidential...more queen-sized..."

She's actually been named to Obama's “White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans". Which is funny, because Shakira:

- is not a U.S. citizen, and thus, not, technically, a “Hispanic American” in the context as it is commonly used . . .

- has had one short experience with college, consisting of one course at UCLA . . .

- was described as an “absentminded” high-school student.

With his proportion of the Hispanic vote currently trending down below the 50% rubicon, I suppose Obama needs all the help he can get, even if it consists of a South American singer saying "Forget the economy, just look at my hips!"

And if nothing else, will it at least prove  RS McCain's famous theory known as Rule 5?
