The New York Times, supporter of every bit and pixel of the Obama agenda, makes note of certain election-year realities:
Two years after arriving in Washington on a message of hope and change, Democratic candidates are not extolling their party’s accomplishments, but rather distancing themselves from their party’s agenda....
...a look at the advertising themes and images being employed by Democrats shows all the ways they are trying to personalize their contests and avoid being defined as ideological partners of President Obama’s or as part of the Washington establishment.
Like arsonists trying to run as fast and far as they can from the fire. Gee, I wonder why?
Gallup finds Americans oppose the stimulus package 52 percent to 43 percent; government aid to automakers 56 to 43 percent; the health care bill 56 percent to 39 percent; and TARP 61 percent to 37 percent.
And as America burns in the fires of high unemployment, massive debt, and false-flag racial agitation stirred by the Democrats and the media, the victims are already piling up:
The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is on track for a record increase on President Obama's watch, with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national war on poverty.
Demographers also are confident the report will show:
-Child poverty increased from 19 percent to more than 20 percent.
-Blacks and Latinos were disproportionately hit, based on their higher rates of unemployment.
-Metropolitan areas that posted the largest gains in poverty included Modesto, Calif.; Detroit; Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Fla.; Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
So all the people that were supposed to be helped by the Obama/Democratic policies of "spreading the wealth" - minorities, children, big cities - were in fact hardest hit by their failure. Maybe because folks didn't realize that when politicians talk about "sharing wealth", they are almost uniformly talking about sharing your wealth with themselves.
It doesn't matter how much Democrats try to distance themselves from their own agenda, their own party, and their own votes. The American people can still smell the stench of kerosene all over them...
At what point do they just start running campaign ads with an "R" next to their names, claiming they're against the very legislation they wrote?
ReplyDeleteThese Democrats are power-hungry. They are scared right now, but hunger always defeats terror, and they'll come out like wounded animals before election day.
And that's when it will go from bad to ugly.
