Obama on the Beck Rally: Americans are easily-led dupes!

Well, I suppose he should know better than most, having captured the presidency by misleading huge swaths of the public at a perilous times by lying about his true intentions. Still, if he wants to keep the presidency, perhaps he should stop insulting the electorate.

Such as the following comment made to NBC news last night, when asked about his take on the Glenn Beck rally:

“It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That’s been true throughout our history,” he said. But “what I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be not good for the nightly news, not good even necessarily for the next election, but are good for the next generation.”

Again we see the de-legitimization of any opposition to Obama's policies. 300,000 - 500,000 Americans show up at a protest rally against the direction Obama is taking the nation? Well, they're the "certain portion of the country" that are easily-led simpletons, clinging to God and guns, duped by FOX news, and way too dim to understand the great works that are being accomplished around them.

Hubris? The word doesn't even come close to the self-importance contained within the vapid soul of the president; I would think the ancient Greeks, encountering the tragic, narcissistic figure of Barack Obama, would need to come up with a new phrase, to describe an unearned pride such as he possess....
