Washington Post Apologizes To Eric Cantor...

...for echoing Barack Obama's accusation that the presence of the health care bill - all 2,700 pages of it - on Cantor's desk during the summit was a "prop":

In a Feb. 26 editorial, we said Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) was "posturing" during the Thursday health-care summit by stacking the voluminous Senate bill before him. Mr. Cantor says that he had the bill with him, well-tabbed, not for show but so that Republicans could respond if specific provisions of the bill came up for discussion. That makes sense, and we should not have characterized his purpose as we did.

Valid retrenchment. Would be nice if the president would show as much class and thought as even the the bottom-feeding lefties at the Washington Post, and admit that his statement was unnecessarily nasty and accusatory....but that would involve admitting he was wrong.

Verboten...
