Well, she blames Obama's staff for Obama's problems, which is kind of a cop out since he was the one who hand-picked that staff. If he didn't even do that, well, that opens up a whole other can of worms entirely.
Still, at least the liberal feminist icon sees things clearly and doesn't try to sugar coat, or blame Bush, either:
Obama's staffing problems are blatant -- from that bleating boy of a treasury secretary to what appears to be a total vacuum where a chief of protocol should be. There has been one needless gaffe after another -- from the president's tacky appearance on a late-night comedy show to the kitsch gifts given to the British prime minister, followed by the sweater-clad first lady's over-familiarity with the queen and culminating in the jaw-dropping spectacle of a president of the United States bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia.
Why was protest about the latter indignity confined to conservatives? The silence of the major media was a disgrace...
Well put, Camille. While no lover of the Right or Bush, she at least defended Sarah Palin from the ugly attacks that came her way, and called out the rest of the feminist movement for their silence.
She and I may be poles apart, but more liberals like Camille, who hold people to account and neither blindly worship at the feet of "progressives" or reflexively spew hatred upon their political opponents, may be exactly what this country needs.
I agree. While Paglia and I are poles apart, I admire her mind, her writing, and her reasoning. After all, she is one of the few pro-choicers who call abortion what it is - murder.
