...about to be closed, with a few final and somewhat random thoughts on the subject (man, I love talking about her!)...
Over at Biased BBC, David Vance figures out the debate results without even needing to see it, thanks to the stammering of their televised talking heads:
I have not watched the Palin/Biden debate yet, but I can only assume Palin has done very well indeed. The reason I say this is that listening to the BBC's coverage of this event on the Today programme this morning the entire tone was that Palin had not fouled up. Essentially the BBC line was that "gaffe-prone" Palin had managed to just about hold her own, though she wobbled "a bit" on climate change and Iraq. Biden was painted as having glided serenely through the debate.
The BBC, like their soul-mates in the Democrat Party, are scare senseless of the values Palin stand for and so they have spent the last several weeks mocking her. Meanwhile, back in the real world, I can but assume that Sarah walloped slow Joe.
Insightful!
More: Palin, emblematic:
Fair or not, Palin is the emblem of underestimated Middle Americans wading in over their heads, not changing with the times, and in the end finishing the job and outsmarting the rest.
Heavy.
But the final words on the subject are written on the walls of the Parkway Rest Stop:
The Debate
I think Governor Palin did great. If you think otherwise, I really don’t give a shit, nor do I wish to hear from you.
Jim, like many a Jersey folk, can be quite pithy when the the occasion arises...
Thank you. It is true that Governor did not swallow her tongue.
ReplyDeleteI have not yet heard anyone from any side express any concern about the most dangerous possibility if Governor Palin is elected to national office.
She would have done wonders for drilling, which the left-wing illuminati that got into office voted down. Look for gas prices to be above $5.
