Bill Clinton: Dhimmi !

Like all lefties, Bill Clinton wishes to bask in the glow of our enemies; he does so by here by informing them that they, of course, are victims! Dhimmi Clinton has the nerve to compare what little anti-Muslim feeling is allowed to seep out into public discourse to the rampant anti-semitism that flows freely in Arab (and European) lands. From Little Green Footballs:

DOHA (AFP) - Former US president Bill Clinton warned of rising anti-Islamic prejudice, comparing it to historic anti-Semitism as he condemned the publishing of cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed in a Danish newspaper.
So now what are we going to do? ... Replace the anti-Semitic prejudice with anti-Islamic prejudice? he said at an economic conference in the Qatari capital of Doha.
In Europe, most of the struggles we have had in the past 50 years have been to fight prejudices against Jews, to fight against anti-Semitism, he said.

[link: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=19013_Clinton-_Totally_Outrageous_Cartoons_Against_Islam&only ]

Why, here's a poor Muslim victim right now! Fella by the name of Al-Zawahiri says:

The American airplanes, in collaboration with their agent of the Jews and the Crusaders, Musharraf, launched an airstrike on Damadola near Peshawar around the Eid al-Adha holiday...

Where is brave Mr. Clinton's denouncement of Al-Zawahiri's use of the phrase "Jews" in this context? Where is his denouncement of Hamas' blood oath to drive the Jews into the sea? Where is Bill Clinton when the Butcher of Iran denies the Holocaust, while slyly winking as if to promise us by Allah he'll show us a holocaust!
Jews as victims are passe, so the hip Dhimmi Bill throws his heft behind the Muslim cause, even as they sharpen up their curved knives to slit some heathen throats:

The U.S. journalist Jill Carroll, weeping and veiled, appeared on a new videotape aired Monday by Al-Jazeera, and the Arab television station said she appealed for the release of all Iraqi women prisoners...Carroll, 28, was crying and wore a conservative Islamic veil as she spoke to the camera, sitting in front of a yellow and black tapestry...

Maybe you ought to address the root causes of some of that anti-Muslim sentiment, Bill, to try to figure out what the problem is...but by all means, feel free to ignore incitement like this:

Or this:

Don't you or Hillary worry your pretty little heads, Dhimmi Bill...anti-semitism is seeing a 21st Century renaissance, but better not say anything, because we wouldn't want it to be perceived as anti-Muslim. And after all, aren't they the real victims here?

Oh, and don't worry about "replacing" anti-semitism, Bill... looks like it's here to stay!

Chavez joins activist Sheehan to bash Bush

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuela's left-wing president, Hugo Chavez, joined U.S. anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan on Sunday to attack President George W. Bush and the
Iraq war at the close of the World Social Forum
..."Enough of imperialist aggression. We must tell the world, down with the U.S. empire," Chavez said hugging Sheehan, whose son died in the Iraq war... "We have to bury imperialism this century. Cindy, we are with you in your fight," he said on his regular Sunday television broadcast...
U.S. relations with Venezuela have become increasingly antagonistic as Chavez campaigns against U.S. free-market policies in South America and Washington portrays him as an anti-democratic threat to regional stability.

This woman should be arrested as soon as she returns to U.S. soil...

Clash of Civilizations - Sunday Roundup

Gerard Baker at TimesUK lays it down, chillingly:

If Iran gets safely and unmolested to nuclear status, it will be a threshold moment in the history of the world, up there with the Bolshevik Revolution and the coming of Hitler. What the country itself may do with those weapons, given its pledges, its recent history and its strategic objectives with regard to the US, Israel and their allies, is well known. We can reasonably assume that the refusal of the current Iranian leadership to accept the Holocaust as historical fact is simply a recognition of their own plans to redefine the notion as soon as they get a chance (“Now this is what we call a holocaust”). But this threat is only, incredibly, a relatively small part of the problem.
...Iran, of course, secure now behind its nuclear wall, will surely step up its campaign of terror around the world. It will become even more of a magnet and haven for terrorists. The terror training grounds of Afghanistan were always vulnerable if the West had the resolve. Protected by a nuclear-missile-owning state, Iranian camps will become impregnable.

...Because in the end, preparation for war, by which I mean not military feasibility planning, or political and diplomatic manoeuvres but a psychological readiness, a personal willingness on all our parts to bear the terrible burdens that it will surely impose, may be our last real chance to ensure that we can avoid one.

Although I agree with Mr. Baker's last paragraph, I deem it unlikely that Mr. Bush can adequately prepare us for war (he failed miserably in the lead-up to Iraq), or that his liberal opponants would allow him - there would always be an appeasement solution to push, you see...

And via Fausta's Bad Hair Blog, we get a little insight into newly elected Hamas parlimentrian Um Nidal:

she...participated in a farewell ceremony in which she sent her 17-year-old son to die through terror, "ordering him not to return except as a shahid [martyr for Allah]." In an interview recorded after her son murdered five Israeli teenagers in a suicide mission, she explained that it was a mother's love for her son that motivated her to be joyous over his Shahada death.

Fausta says pointedly,

When mothers send their children to die - and are applauded for it -it is clear to all that the Palestinians are not yet ready to join the ranks of the civilized world.

Need more proof? Via World War IV Daily, get a list of Hamas atrocities, and remember that the Palestinians elected these folks to represent them to the world. What little sympathy I once had for these people has quickly evaporated...Here's just one month's worth of Hamas' exploits:

March 31, 2002 - A suicide bomber detonated himself at the "Matzah"restaurant in Haifa. Fifteen Israeli civilians were killed and 31 were wounded.
March 27, 2002 - A suicide bomber blew himself up with an explosive belt inthe Park Hotel in Netanya. Thirty Israeli civilians were killed and 144 were wounded.
March 9, 2002 - A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device strapped to his body at the entrance of the "Moment Café" in Jerusalem. Eleven Israeli civilians were killed and 58 were wounded.

Read it all; it's absolutely sickening... here: http://wwivdaily.blogspot.com/2006/01/1262006.html

And finally, Europe gets ready to surrender to their new Muslim masters. Norway leads the pack, apologizing to the Muslim world for having a free press...via The Brussels Journal (here: http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/722 ), their foreign minister speaks, from his knees:

I am sorry that the publication of a few cartoons in the Norwegian paper Magazinet has caused unrest among Muslims. I fully understand that these drawings are seen to give offence by Muslims worldwide. Islam is a spiritual reference point for a large part of the world. Your faith has the right to be respected by us... Freedom of expression is one of the pillars of Norwegian society. This includes tolerance for opinions that not everyone shares. At the same time our laws and our international obligations enforce restrictions for incitement to hatred or hateful expressions."

How about our rights to a press free of government pressure, Mr. Minister? Shouldn't those fundamental rights be respected by Muslims? Or is this only a one way street, where the West can only beg for forgiveness? And on a side note, did you know Norway is one of the few Western countries whom have vowed to continue working with Hamas, with no stipulations? What good dhimmis!

The clash of civilizations is coming; and it is gonna be harsh - maybe Mr. Bush should start preparing us now, so we are ready for what inevitably awaits us down the road...

Welcome To Terrorstan!

Via Little Greeen Footballs, here's what the composition of the new Palestinian Legislature looks like:

Of the 66 national seats, the terror factions took 60 (30 for HAMAS, 27 for FATAH, 3 for PFLP). The other six winners include former Finance Minister Salam Fayyad, former PA spokesperson Hanan Ashrawi, and former Presidential candidate Mustafa Barghouti.
Of the 60 local seats not reserved for Christians, HAMAS won 46. FATAH won ten, plus the six reserved seats. The remaining four seats went to “independents.”
HAMAS will have a stronger grip on the legislature than the Republicans do in either the U.S. Senate or the House of Representatives. FATAH, with less than one third of the seats, is a weak minority party.

Of the 132 legislators elected, no more than 10 are unaffiliated with a terror group.

And of course, the candidate named
Hitler was indeed elected to the Palestinian parliament! And via Gateway Pundit, we have more winners:

The
proud mother of three suicide bombers won a seat in parliament for Hamas. She was one of the most popular Hamas candidates and is said to be able to work a crowd like a veteran politician.

Wow, with those credentials maybe they should make her their UN Ambassador; I'm sure the motley crew on Manhattan's East Side would welcome her with open arms. Bill Clinton doesn't seem that upset with the results as he urges the same surrender policy that worked so well during his tragic administration:

Former U.S. president Bill Clinton on Saturday praised Israel's "shrewd" response to a shock win by Hamas in Palestinian elections and urged the militants to act responsibly once in power.

Shrewd as in Israel hasn't attacked yet? Dhimmi Clinton urged Israel to never fight back, buying into the whole "cycle of violence" thing, and the cycle seemed to ride right over the dead bodies of Israeli civilians. Sharon put paid to that, and the Palestinians at least no longer have illusions about winning a war with Israel (they only hope that thru Hamas they can inflict as much pain as possible).

Asked if he believed Hamas could recognize Israel, having advocated its destruction until now, Clinton said: "I think there's a way to work through this, yes. I think there's a way to get them into that, I mean I hope there is."

As if this admission would change everything - Arafat recognized Israel, so everything he did after that was OK with Bill, no matter how many dead Jews lay sprawled on the ground.

Clinton, who worked intensively on the peace process and narrowly failed to clinch a historic Israeli-Palestinian accord toward the end of his presidency...

He didn't "narrowly fail", al-Reuters...Clinton was played for a fool by Arafat for eight consecutive years, and wound up empty handed. Perhaps the only legacy he has here is his help in allowing the culture of terror to develop so solidly in the territories under his watch. His policy of appeasement, of not fighting back against terror attacks on Israel or America, was catastrophic for both nations. At this crucial juncture, the mistakes of the past cannot be repeated...

The Plantation II

We've talked before about the virulant racism thrown by Democrats at any black man or women whom dares step off their plantation and have a thought or two on their own( http://jerseynut.blogspot.com/2006/01/plantation.html ); Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado seems to be the latest to be bitten by the liberal racism bug. Via Amy Ridenour:

Look at this Rocky Mountain News story:

Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar on Wednesday called U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas an "abomination" compared with the late Justice Thurgood Marshall...
"There are members of the U.S. Supreme Court that I very much disagree with. Clarence Thomas, for example, I think is an abomination when you contrast him to the leadership and principles of someone like Thurgood Marshall. I've been in front of the court and I know the justices..."

Maybe Senator Salazar would like to claim that it is just a coincidence the he compared Justice Thomas to the only other black Justice.
Maybe Senator Salazar would like to claim that he would have singled out Justice Thomas even if Justice Thomas was white.
Maybe Senator Salazar, if asked without first being given time to have a staffer look up the answer for him, can explain the difference in judicial philosophy between Justices Thomas and Antonin Scalia -- the distinction great enough to get the black man labeled an "abomination" while the white man is left uncriticized.

I would need a mind-reading machine to prove it, but I believe this is what Senator Salazar, in his heart of hearts, thinks: "Justice Thomas is an abomination because he is black and holds views different from the views I and other mostly-white liberals believe he should hold. Justice Scalia and Chief Justice Roberts are allowed to hold views of their own choosing because they are white men, but Thomas should not, because Thomas is black."
Didn't some other Senator say something recently about Congress being "run like a plantation"? Maybe she was thinking of Senator Salazar's views.

Nasty stuff, but it will be hard to change the black vote easily. Race baiters like Jackson and Sharpton are constantly handed money for their pet projects by Democratic Congressman in return for some first-class shilling for the party/candidate. It is the middle class blacks that are tiring of this pandering, knowing there is a backhand slap in the offing if they dare vote another way. The Republicans need to point this out to the black community, and express clearly what distinguishes them from the left-hand side. They should do the same with the Jewish community, pointing out the many anti-Semetic remarks made by elected Democratic officials, or made in their presence, about which the Dems do absolutely nothing.
They will not win any type of majority this year or next from these two groups, but the effort to spread the truth should begin in haste....

Hamas: And So, It Begins...

From today's NY Daily News:

Leaders won't recant vow to destroy Israel

Mahmoud Zahar, a leading candidate for prime minister, also put the kibosh on future peace talks with the Jewish state.
"Israel has nothing to give for the Palestinians," Zahar said. "All the time they were wasting our time ... implementing nothing."
In Syria, the No. 2 man in the Hamas leadership said wiping Israel off the map remains their chief goal.
"As long as there is occupation and so long as our people's rights are usurped, our stand will remain as it is," Moussa Abu Marzouk said. "We would resist the [Israeli] occupation to restore our rights."

Well, high marks for honesty...better, in my eyes, than Arafat speaking peace in English and war in Arabic. And in the same way the Nazis built rapidly for war after the election of Hitler, Hamas is wasting no time either:

The Islamic militant group Hamas was ready to merge armed factions including its military wing to form an army to defend the Palestinian people, a senior Hamas leader said on Saturday.
"We are willing to form an army like every country ... an army to defend our people against aggression," Hamas politburo chief Khaled Meshaal told a news conference in Damascus after the group swept Palestinian parliamentary elections.

Speaking from Damascus, eh? Looks like the Syrians are on the verge of increasing their sphere of influence by setting up another rump state, with Hamas running the territories the way Hezbollah controls much of Lebanon. With Hezbollah shelling them from one side, Hamas starting a jihad army on the other, Iran building nukes in the distance, and Syria cheering them on in the foreground (with their eyes hungrily on Iraq), how far are we from another 1967 War, where the Israelis, seeing their enemies encircling them, decide to strike out first? Will the 40-year anniversary of the Six-Day War be greeted by...yet a new Arab-Isreali war?

What a sad thought, yet now the winds of war are blowing heavy, to a gale, with no calm in sight...

Italy: Putting Jesus on Trial

The new, "enlightened" Europe in action. Presented with no further comment:

An Italian judge heard arguments yesterday on whether a small-town parish priest should stand trial for asserting that Jesus Christ existed.
The priest's atheist accuser, Luigi Cascioli, says the Roman Catholic Church has been deceiving people for 2,000 years that Christ existed. Cascioli says the Rev. Enrico Righi violated two Italian laws by reasserting the claim.
Cascioli filed a criminal complaint in 2002 after Righi wrote in a parish bulletin that Jesus indeed existed.
Cascioli claims that Righi's assertion constituted two crimes under Italian law: abuse of popular belief, in which someone fraudulently deceives people; and impersonation, in which someone gains by attributing a false name to a person.
Cascioli has said he has little hope of the case succeeding in overwhelmingly Roman Catholic Italy, and that he is going through the necessary legal steps to reach the European Court of Human Rights, where he intends to accuse the church of "religious racism."

Sorry, I will add a comment - how come no one in Italy has brought the Prophet Muhammad to court? See what the threat of bringin' a jihad down on your head can accomplish?

Living With Hamas...

...will shortly become the Palestinian's problem. Will Hamas install Islamic law, giving us another society of veiled women and bearded men? Not what the Palestinians were thinking when they went hunting for an alternative to Hamas, but there was a reason there were no sane alternatives - the body politic didn't allow for it. Will Gaza be governed as a rump state of Syria, with terror leaders in Damascus calling the shots for their puppets in the territories? How long until Hamas, feeling the wrath of a frustrated populace seeing minimal changes in their living standards, turns its guns on Isreal in a blind fury? And this will help the average Palestinian how, exactly?

Jim Hoagland in today's Washington Post makes the same point we made here yesterday: For better or worse, in order to create a true understanding of how democracy works, the Palestinians cannot be protected form the consequences of their actions (no matter what Dimmy Carter might think). He writes:

Even after Hamas's victory became clear, Bush urged President Abbas to "stay in office and work to move the process forward." The president seemed to be proposing that Abbas seek a political blessing from Hamas and a power-of-attorney to continue talks that the radicals denounce as worthless.
That is precisely the wrong direction to take. The Bush administration and other governments should do nothing to obscure for the Palestinians the consequences of their actions at the ballot boxes on Wednesday. It would not be effective diplomacy or politics to cushion the Palestinians from those consequences.
The world should not move backward 20 years, to the time when diplomats moved heaven and earth to coax grudging and obscure statements from Yasser Arafat acknowledging Israel's right to exist.
That effort led to Israel's 1993 decision to install Fatah in command of the Palestinian territories in return for Arafat's unfulfilled installment-plan promise to make peace.
That history suggests there is little to be gained now from trying to induce Hamas into reasonable-sounding rhetoric or from trying to keep afloat an Abbas administration that has just been repudiated. Clarity counts in this election's aftermath.

We don't know what the consequences may be, but there is no doubt they can be shattering on many levels. International condemnation and legal issues may cut funding for a people whom have precious little money to begin with. The loss of freedoms associated with Islamic fundamentalism might be a new experience for the Palestinians; and one that may take years to restore even with free elections. And most likely the ravages of war will continue - as Hamas is forced to placate its radical (mainstream?) elements by continuing and celebrating attacks on Israel, one may expect the Jewish State to be less restrained in their responses, leading to infrastructural damage and lots and lots of human collataral. One can even see Israel going after Hamas strongholds in Lebenon and Syria, to cut off supplies or send a not-so-subtle message to the boys in Gaza, depending on their behavior.

It is no "shock" to me that a terrorist group has been given hold of the territories via free election; for years under Arafat and Fatah the hatred of Jews and the sacrifice of oneself as a martyr have been extolled as the highest virtues. Why shouldn't they elect those whom champion these values?

This will be the beginning of an earthquake that will eventually lead to virtual full-scale warfare in the Middle East - and folks, we are not even feeling the tremors yet...

Hamas Takes Over

Democracy is a beautiful thing; people will always wind up with the government they deserve. And so it goes with the Palestinians, as they elected the murderous Hamas outfit as their leadership. Well, the German people filled the Reichstag with Nazis as early as 1933 in relatively free elections; they knew exactly whom they were voting for and what was promised, as do the Palestinians. The Palestinians have voted for hatred and war, and like their Nazi bretheren, they will get both of them.

War is at hand; there is no turning back. Iranian leader Ahmadinejad flies to Syria to form an alliance (Wait! I thought Islamists and secular ba'athists could never form alliances; that's why al-Qaeda could not have operated out of Iraq! Right? Right?) against America and Isreal, while praising the terrorist thugs based there for their war against the Jews. The Palestinians elect a group of murderous gangsters whose very existance is predicated on the destruction of Isreal. Their border with Egypt is allowed to remain porous, so the weaponry to fight their declared war can be amassed. And while American troops battle back a vicious Islamist insurgancy in Iraq, Iran builds nukes, with the avowed intention of using them. In Europe, leaders sit paralized with fear as developments unfold around them (the 1930's, again), watching helplessly as Islamist hordes attempt to re-take the continent town by town, city by city.

And via Gateway Pundit, we have Jimmy Carter, the 21st Century's Neville Chamberlain, urging countries to break international law in order to fund these warmakers:

"The Palestinian Government is destitute, and in desperate financial straits. I hope that support for the new government will be forthcoming," Carter said at a Jerusalem press conference.
He added that if international law barred donor countries from directly funding a Hamas-led government than the US and the EU should bypass the Palestinian Authority and provide the "much-needed" money to the Palestinians via non-governmental channels such as UN agencies.

"Regardless of the government, I would hope that potential donors find alternative means to be generous to the Palestinian people [even] if the donor decides to bypass the Palestinian government completely," Carter said, stressing that his main concern was to avert the "suffering" of the Palestinian people, which he said could lead to a new cycle of violence

So this buck-toothed slacked-jawed hayseed is asking nations to flaunt international law to help protect a people from the consequences of their own actions? A people who are deliberately choosing war over peace?
He's already given them a built in-excuse to continue the war agianst the Jews - after all, it will be their "suffering" that will cause Hamas to lash out against Isreali women and children, right? Must be true, Jimmy has already told us so.
Carter has always held the Jews in disdain; it is refreshing to actually see him come out of the closet honestly and beg for funds for his green-flagged children of the swastika.

Remember, the Democrats put 'ol peanut-head in a place of high honor in the 2004 convention (right next to Michael Moore); I would like to hear what they have to say about his policies today.
And when the dam gives way, and the next world war breaks upon us, have no doubt upon whose side our traitorous Democratic ex-President will be standing.
It will not be ours.

Fighting Terror, Clinton-Style!

That rascal Hillary Clinton took some potshots at President Bush's domestic surveillance initiatives today; and in doing so, she allowed her own future policies to show:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday called President Bush's explanations for eavesdropping on domestic telephone calls "strange" and "far-fetched," launching a blistering attack on the White House ahead of the president's State of the Union address.
"Obviously, I support tracking down terrorists. I think that's our obligation. But I think it can be done in a lawful way," the New York Democrat said.

Done in a lawful way. That was Bill Clinton's self-described mandate for all action against terrorists. That's why he tried and jailed a few guys after the first World Trade Center attack, why he sent FBI agents into Saudi Arabia to find the bombers of the Khobar Towers (and we found how many?), why we "questioned" folks in Yemen after the USS Cole was bombed (and arrested how many?), and why we never snatched Osama bin Laden when he was offered to us on a silver platter. And this is why terrorists were free to attack us with no fear of reprisal on September 11th.

And this failed anti-terror strategy is what Hillary wants this nation to revert to.
Springfield Chief of Police Clancey Wiggum once said, "I'd rather let a million guilty men go free...than have to chase after them"
Hillary would let a million terrorists walk free, until Kofi Annan gave her the authority to shake a warrant at them.

Let's pray, for everybody's safety, that she never gets the chance.

Joel Stein: New Jersey Knucklehead !

Yup, we are proud to present - from Edison, New Jersey - Mr. Joel Stein, and his thoughts on our American soldiers as written in his Los Angeles Times piece today:

I DON’T SUPPORT our troops. This is a particularly difficult opinion to have...

I’m not for the war. And being against the war and saying you support the troops is one of the wussiest positions the pacifists have ever taken — and they’re wussy by definition. It’s as if the one lesson they took away from Vietnam wasn’t to avoid foreign conflicts with no pressing national interest but to remember to throw a parade afterward. ...

...blaming the president is a little too easy. The truth is that people who pull triggers are ultimately responsible, whether they're following orders or not. An army of people making individual moral choices may be inefficient, but an army of people ignoring their morality is horrifying. <...> But when you volunteer for the U.S. military, you pretty much know you're not going to be fending off invasions from Mexico and Canada. So you're willingly signing up to be a fighting tool of American imperialism, for better or worse.

This lowlife Jersey liberal is essentially calling our soldiers murderers (by pinning the "Nazi excuse" on them), and calling them members of an imperialist army; again, no better than savage looters or plunderers. Not a word of the heroism, the sacrifice, the victories of the American soldier. And of course, the LA Times couldn't wait to get it out there.

How dare he - this rich Northern New Jersey boy who never grew up wanting for a thing in his life, who never knew a hard day's work - pass judgement on brave American men and women whom leave their families to travel across the globe to fight our enemies before they come here to exterminate us? Does he have a clue, even the slightest understanding, of what a soldier's world, a soldier's life, is all about? Does he even display a glimpse of knowing what a soldier's morality (which he so handily derides) is compsed of?

Stein is one of those stupid self-loathing Jews who's convinced that a terrorist would never harm him, oh no, he would just explain to them how he was on their side, that American imperialists and their military minions (and the neo-con Zionists that control them, of course) were the real problem in the world, and then they would release old Joel, for sure!
He would never understand it, or the world around him, as his head was seperated from his throat...

This isn't the first time Joel has bashed the military; it's a little game this protected little liberal plays quite often, when someone is stupid enough to pay him for the bilge that eminates from his pen. Here's a piece in Vanity Fair - http://www.newyorker.com/shouts/content/articles/050822sh_shouts - deriding military recruitment and those whom consider enlisting. He's preaching to the Democratic choir/readership of VF, of course, but Joel may have overexposed his Jersey liberalism this time...hope mommy still has some money in the trust fund for you, you simpy panty-wearing dhimmi bitch.

His article can be found in a lot of places, but I'm linking to the Mudville Gazette here -http://www.mudvillegazette.com/archives/004083.html - because there is a heartwarming counter-story aboout good old-fashioned New England-style patriotism that will settle your stomach afterward...

Traitor Joel should heed the words that fly on the masthead of the Gazette's home page, as he scratches illegibly at his desk:

"Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

"The Plantation"

So, Hillary, if the Republican Party is a "plantation", as you so venemously spat out on MLK Day, why are so many up and coming blacks running as Republicans? We know about Michael Steele in Maryland (you know, Hill, the one Democrats have decided it's OK to slur because he is a "conservative"), Lynn Swann is gonna make a big splash in Pennsylvania, and now we have Mr. Ken Blackwell, running for governer of swing-state Ohio:

Ken Blackwell has just finished regaling a group of Ohio retailers with his vision of how to turn around the state’s struggling economy with a heavy dose of fiscal restraint and tax cuts. The crowd, accustomed to Republicans who tax and spend as furiously as Democrats, is rapt. But as Blackwell works the room afterward, on a warm fall afternoon in Columbus, one well-dressed woman stops him to outline her concerns. “I like your ideas on taxes,” she tells the former college football star, who at 6 foot 5 towers over her imposingly, “but I don’t like your other ideas so much”—meaning Blackwell’s strong pro-life positions and support of a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman. “I am not just an economic being,” Blackwell unapologetically replies. “I have a wider set of beliefs that I follow.” And then, before the woman moves away, Blackwell adds: “With me, you’ll always know what you are getting. You’ll always know where I stand.”

You going to try smearing this guy as an Uncle Tom, Hillary? Don't think it will stick, he's got too much on the ball as well as fresh ideas in a economically stagnent state:

Blackwell has built his early lead not by tacking toward the center of this swing state but by running on an uncompromisingly conservative platform that’s won him grassroots support from both Christian groups and taxpayer organizations—a novel coalition that makes the old-boy network in his own Ohio GOP as uneasy as it makes the state’s Democrats, who have begun a “stop Blackwell” campaign.

Ken Blackwell has so many people worried because he represents a new political calculus with the power to shake up American politics. For Blackwell is a fiscal and cultural conservative, a true heir of the Reagan revolution, who happens to be black, with the proven power to attract votes from across a startlingly wide spectrum of the electorate. Born in the projects of Cincinnati to a meat-packer who preached the work ethic and a nurse who read to him from the Bible every evening, Blackwell has rejected the victimology of many black activists and opted for a different path, championing school choice, opposing abortion, and staunchly advocating low taxes as a road to prosperity.

Wait! Here comes the Democratic race-hatred...right around....now!

Blackwell has become a growing target of left-wing blacks like Jesse Jackson, aghast that the first black governor of a major midwestern state might actually turn out to be a conservative who doesn’t trade on race. Though Blackwell has yet to suffer the kind of indignities of Maryland’s Steele—pelted with Oreo cookies in his campaign appearances—black Democrats have dismissed him as an opportunist for joining the GOP and accused him of trying to “disenfranchise” blacks to help elect George Bush president.

The 2006 Democratic party. Full of racists, anti-semites, and traitors.

Oh, Canada!

Looks like our northern neighbors are ready to give the boot to their once-beloved liberals in today's nationwide elections:

A Canadian electorate that appears to have tired of more than a decade of Liberal rule was heading to the polls on Monday, seemingly ready to hand a limited mandate to the Conservatives....
....Martin's government was toppled in November over kickbacks from government contracts but rather than spending most of his time on that issue, Harper methodically laid out a policy a day during a campaign that ended up dispelling some of the doubts voters had about him in 2004.

Think our Democrats will learn a lesson from this? NOT!

The New York Times adds in their liberal scare-mongering, of course:

Many Canadians have grown weary of the broken promises and corruption scandals under the Liberal Party and appeared willing to give Harper the benefit of doubt, despite fears the 46-year-old economist is too extreme in his views opposing abortion and gay marriage.

Don't forget: If you have a moral issue with same-sex marriage and wanton abortion, you are extreme! Added bonus: Lots of quotes from scared liberals on how Harper would "change" the country, but nothing from any Conservative Canadian voters...guess the Times cannot fathom their existance.

Now where will disgusted American lefties move to? And what about their Canadian bretheren?
Maybe they should consider that little "worker's paradise" isle off the coast of Florida they profess to love so much...

The New York Times, Sniffing Hillary's Underpants!

Today's New York Times' "Political Memo" has a bit on Hillary's recent travails, and don't you know, it all comes up roses for HRC...first, the Times' version of events:

...things did not heat up until Monday, when the senator, speaking at a ceremony in Harlem honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said that Republicans ran the House of Representatives "like a plantation" in which dissent was not tolerated. Mrs. Clinton also attacked the Bush administration in that same speech as potentially being "the worst" in the nation's history.
The Republican National Committee responded within hours, accusing the senator of using divisive and racially charged language on a day devoted to national reconciliation. Then, two days later, the national party sent reporters an Internet video of her speech included in an e-mail message titled "Hillary's Back," in
an apparent effort to conjure up an image of her that she has tried to largely shed: shrill leftist partisan.

The message accused Mrs. Clinton, among other things, of failing to attend an Armed Services Committee hearing that looked into body armor for troops.
"Senator Clinton repeatedly attacked the Bush administration over body armor, called for hearings, and then didn't bother to show up," said the statement. (Mrs. Clinton's spokesman responded that the briefing was called on short notice and that the senator already had a full day of events scheduled with constituents in New York and sent an aide in her place; her spokesman added that only one Republican attended the special briefing.)

And if that were not enough, the White House's chief spokesman criticized Mrs. Clinton, as did
Laura Bush. "I think it's a ridiculous comment," Mrs. Bush told reporters on Wednesday, two days after Mrs. Clinton made the remarks. "It's a ridiculous comment - that's what I think."
The attacks by the White House and their Republican allies put the Clinton camp in a state of high alert, with the senator's advisers enlisting prominent black Democrats to come to her defense

Note the buzzwords: accuse, an apparent effort to conjure up - oh, poor Hillary! And Among other things, And if that were not enough... Hillary is the victim here, dammit! Can't everyone see that? Note that the reporter does not even discuss the appropriateness of Hillary's racist "plantation" remark (made on MLK day, no less), and defends her within the article (no bias here, folks!) by pointing out only one Republican made it to the hearing.
That's no excuse - it's her pet issue, she has to be there. It is her job.

And the "black Democrats" comment also implies racism on the Republican side as well - but these poor plantation Congressman know they must echo plantation policy in order to get their share of the goodies for their constituents.

And you know this is all good for Hillary:

The attacks may help energize her network of financial supporters at a time when she faces no serious opposition in her re-election bid this year in New York. But perhaps more important, the Republican attacks are already leading Democrats to rally around her...

Yea, OK, this is the same pie-in-the-sky wistful rationale I heard all throughout the 2004 campaign. Same old Hillary - opportunist, leftist, divider, weakling.

Bring it on, HRC!

The Hostage Scam

Seems like a lot of the hostage-takings in Iraq are not what they appear to be...instead of poor, innocent folks (usually women, nowadays) snatched off the mean Bagdad streets as a means of revolt against George W. Bush's minions, we see...a profit-sharing operation. From David Medienkritik:

Part of the ransom money alleged to have been paid by the German government to win the freedom of Iraq hostage Susanne Osthoff last month was found on Osthoff after her release, the German magazine Focus said on Saturday.

Without citing its sources, Focus said officials at the German embassy in Baghdad had found several thousand U.S. dollars in the 43-year-old German archaeologist's clothes when she took a shower at the embassy shortly after being freed.
The serial numbers on the bills matched those used by the government to pay off Osthoff's kidnappers, the magazine said.
A spokeswoman at the German Foreign Ministry declined to comment on the report. The German government is known to have paid ransoms for hostages in the past, but has refused to comment on whether it did so for Osthoff. (...)
Speculation about the circumstances of her kidnapping and release has swirled in the German media since the German government announced on December 18 that she was free.
Two days after her release, the German government freed a Hizbollah member jailed for life in 1985 for the murder of a U.S. Navy diver. Berlin has denied a connection between the two events.

Osthoff herself caused a stir when she said in an interview at the end of December that she did not believe her kidnappers were criminals

Of course not - they weren't criminals, simply Osthoff's business partners. The real tragedy is that our "allies" the Germans essentially did a swap, freeing the Hezbollah member (photo below) who shot and killed an American serviceman during a hijacking (and dumped his body onto the tarmac) to insure the release of a German scammer in cahoots with terrorists. And how will Germany's blood money be spent? Why, to help kill more American soldiers, of course!

Miss Merkel, better get your act together, or W. will stop taking your phone calls too...

And on a side note, CAIR's concern for Jill Carroll, the Christian Science Monitor's freelancer currently be held captive, is self-serving. She's been an anti-war reporter for some time, and while she does not deserve to die for it, I wonder if CAIR would step up for a reporter who was not pro-insurgency. Jill Carroll's dad makes the sad point:

In a statement aired Friday by two major Arab television stations, her father, Jim Carroll, described his daughter as “an innocent woman” and told the captors that sparing her life would “serve your cause more than her death.”
Muslims from Iraq to France have called for release of the journalist, who has reported on the suffering of Iraqis living under U.S. occupation amid a raging insurgency fanned mostly by Sunni Arab militants.

All Welcome Our New Messiah - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad !

Did you know Iranian President Ahmadinejad has promoted himself from mere hostage-taker (see yesterday's post) to full-on Islamist Messiah? Yes, it dawned upon him during his speech to the UN, which is recounted here via Dr. Sanity:

World leaders had expected a conciliatory proposal to defuse the nuclear crisis after Teheran had restarted another part of its nuclear programme in August.
Instead, they heard the president speak in apocalyptic terms of Iran struggling against an evil West that sought to promote "state terrorism", impose "the logic of the dark ages" and divide the world into "light and dark countries".
The speech ended with the messianic appeal to God to "hasten the emergence of your last repository, the Promised One, that perfect and pure human being, the one that will fill this world with justice and peace".
In a video distributed by an Iranian web site in November, Mr Ahmadinejad described how one of his Iranian colleagues had claimed to have seen a glow of light around the president as he began his speech to the UN.
"I felt it myself too," Mr Ahmadinejad recounts. "I felt that all of a sudden the atmosphere changed there. And for 27-28 minutes all the leaders did not blink…It's not an exaggeration, because I was looking." They were astonished, as if a hand held them there and made them sit. It had opened their eyes and ears for the message of the Islamic Republic."

Western officials said the real reason for any open-eyed stares from delegates was that "they couldn't believe what they were hearing from Ahmadinejad".
Their sneaking suspicion is that Iran's president actually relishes a clash with the West in the conviction that it would rekindle the spirit of the Islamic revolution and - who knows - speed up the arrival of the Hidden Imam.

The good Doctor adds:

Some have even suggested that he thinks he is the 12th Imam. Certainly his religious ecstasy during the UN speech has given him reason to believe that he may be the vessel in which the Imam returns to rule.

Don't believe it? Charles Krauthammer does:

So a Holocaust-denying, virulently anti-Semitic, aspiring genocidist, on the verge of acquiring weapons of the apocalypse, believes that the end is not only near but nearer than the next American presidential election. (Pity the Democrats. They cannot catch a break.) This kind of man would have, to put it gently, less inhibition about starting Armageddon than a normal person. Indeed, with millennial bliss pending, he would have positive incentive to, as they say in Jewish eschatology, hasten the end.

We have called Ahmadinejad "Hitler in a headress" before; but the bloggers at Gates of Vienna quantify pretty well the similarities between these two tyrants. They start with Mein Kampf (the pre-history of WWII that no one decided to take seriously), and then spin the wheel of time:

Now fast-forward eighty years. Watch Kristallnacht, D-Day, Auschwitz, the Berlin Wall, Vietnam, and 9-11 fly by in a blur. Hit “play” as soon as you see the face of Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, making his infamous speech this past October:

The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world… The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land.
As the Imam [Khomeini] said, Israel must be wiped off the map.
The Islamic umma will not allow its historic enemy to live in its heartland.

It is as if the President of Iran were eerily channeling the Reichskanzler of the 1930s. President Ahmadinejad elaborated on the same topic when he denied the existence of Herr Hitler’s most notorious accomplishment:

They have fabricated a legend under the name “Massacre of the Jews”, and they hold it higher than God himself, religion itself and the prophets themselves.

Mr. Ahmadinejad has no doubt of his mission; he has made that mission blindingly clear on numerous occasions. He is here to prepare the way for the appearance of the Twelfth Imam, which will usher in the Islamic version of the Apocalypse.

And what does almighty Europe do against this threat? In1938, France and Britian tried to buy off Adolf with a few countries as tribute. Of course, if any of Hitler's early advances - into the Rhineland, into Austria - had been met with any type of force, the world would have been spared tens of millions of deaths. So fast forward almost seventy years, and the best Europe can offer is to attempt to put together an agreement to put Iran in front of the Security Council? Where it is already known, as a fact, that both China and Russia will veto any sanctions placed upon Iran? It's a charade to buy some time, much like the appeasement of Munich, in the hopes that someone else will have to bear the burden of their cowardice.

What will appeasement bring us in 2006? Nukes flying arount the Middle East, with much of Isreal and Iran burnt to a cinder, uninhabitable for centuries. An offensive in Iraq, to keep American forces tied down. Islamist uprisings all throughout Europe, with impotent PC governments falling one by one. China, taking opportunity of the chaos to reclaim Tawain, while the gangsters that control Russia get into all types of mischief, most likely involving re-intergrating some of those pesky former provinces. Watch as leftist South America and Mexico declare for Iran, and the United States is forced to engage at its southern border, while its last supply of oil is cut. All this, as the UN seeks to proclaim "peace in our time".

I wonder...what is the meaning of "never again"? If one swaps out a swastika for a headress, are all bets off? Isreal knows better, but they cannot win this war alone.

Every day we wait brings us closer to Ahmadinejad's dream of apocalypse...every day we wait, the death toll of the future is rising.

Have we truly learned nothing?

25 Years Ago Today...

...The Iranian Hostage crisis came to an end - the Islamists ruling Iran then knew the differences between Jimmy Dhimmi Carter and Ronald Reagan. But does our "Hitler in a Headress", Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, recall? Does he know the difference between George W. Bush and the feckless Euroweenies (although Chirac, for 5 seconds yesterday, developed a backbone - "French President Jacques Chirac has said France would be ready to use nuclear weapons against any state which launched a terrorist attack against it "-) ?

President Ahmadinejad should remember - he's here, on the right clutching an American hostage back in 1980:

And here's our little terrorist today, all grown up, taking questions from an adoring media:

No question this is the same guy; not just facially, but spiritually...this animal has always been about murder and mayhem, and the world is about to let him unleash his horror on a global scale.

This should not be Mr. Bush's pre-emptive war (nor Israel's); it should be the world's...else the word "multilateral" should be banished from existence, now and forever.

Al Gore and Hillary Clinton: Dueling Nutjobs!

Yesterday, from Al Gore, we get the following soundbites:

Former Vice President Al Gore asserted Monday that President Bush “repeatedly and persistently” broke the law...
...“a threat to the very structure of our government” Gore charged...
Gore said that Bush’s actions represented a “direct assault” ...

And now, ladies and gentleman, we get Hillary at the Harlem Church:

"When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation and you know what I'm talking about..."

This is one of the more offensive things I've heard in some time, and I will tell you why...

If there is a plantation, it is owned and operated by the Democratic Party - the party that claims to support women, blacks and minorities only does so if they toe the Democratic party ideological line - otherwise, they have no problems resorting to racist name-calling to bring an uppity inferior back into line.

Where's the praise for Condi Rice, the most powerful black/woman in the world? Where's the kudos for Alberto Gonzales, the first Hispanic Attorney General? Where's the huzzahs for George W. Bush, the man who intergrated his cabinet not with Clinton-esque color-matching, but with qualified minority candidates?

Where's the (liberal) media's adorement of Michael Steele, a black Republican running for Senate in Maryland ? Obama got oodles of adoring press, but of course, he's a black Democrat...Steele just gets racist bile with a wink and a nod from the MSM...from Michelle Malkin:

Black Democratic leaders in Maryland say that racially tinged attacks against Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele in his bid for the U.S. Senate are fair because he is a conservative Republican.
Such attacks against the first black man to win a statewide election in Maryland include pelting him with Oreo cookies during a campaign appearance, calling him an "Uncle Tom" and depicting him as a black-faced minstrel on a liberal Web log.
Operatives for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) also obtained a copy of his credit report -- the only Republican candidate so targeted.
But black Democrats say there is nothing wrong with "pointing out the obvious."

Yea, Hillary, there is a plantation, and you and Al and Nancy are the masters, threating blacks with ridicule and scorn if they dare think outside of your box...Can anyone speak truth to this power in the black community?
Not Hillary - she winds up her speech with one last filthy lie:

Speaking during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, Clinton also offered an apology to a group of Hurricane Katrina survivors "on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you." Her remarks were met with thunderous applause by a mostly black audience at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem.

Nice words - I'm sure MLK would have been so proud of your attempts to divide and conquer, Hillary. Go ahead, you try it in 2008...we'll see you in Gore-land!

Brokeback Mountain: Globes-Yes! Box Office-No!

The money, it never does lie:

Brokeback Mountain

Munich
1,498 screens
$33,807,605 Total Box Office

Syriana

Now, in comparison:

So Hollywood's triumverate of liberal morality plays - gay cowboys, sympathetic terrorists, and evil American oil companies - combined still fall short of one fantasy flick (with Christian overtones).

Once these losers finish their back slapping and self-congratulations about "sticking it to the man" with their films, they are going to wake up and realize that no one, outside of their liberal interest groups, went to see them!

And then the blame is gonna fly - "censorship", "closed-mindedness", the "right-wing media" - are all going to take the fall for Hollywood's moral depravity and its tin ear towards Middle American morality. And the media will be there to blow the horn for them...

Boy, it's gonna be a sight to behold.

CNN Bows, Scrapes before Mullahs

CNN stayed inside Iraq all those years by lying to the world about what was really going on there; they appear to be ready to shuck their principles again:

Iran on Tuesday lifted its ban on CNN after the U.S. news network apologized for misquoting President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying Tehran wanted nuclear weapons, a top culture ministry official said
Iran banned CNN journalists from working in the country on Monday after its simultaneous translation of Ahmadinejad's news conference on Saturday included the phrase "the use of nuclear weapons is Iran's right."
In fact, what the Iranian president said was that "Iran has the right to nuclear energy."
CNN later apologized for making a mistake.
"Following a request from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the ban on the activities of CNN's stringer in Iran was lifted," Mohammad Hossein Khoshvaght, director of foreign media at Iran's culture ministry, told Reuters.
Iran denies seeking nuclear weapons, saying it wants atomic technology for generating electricity.
"I want the channel to be allowed to resume its work owing to the apology it made," Ahmadinejad said in a letter sent to the culture ministry, a copy of which was faxed to Reuters...

The ban came as CNN's Iranian-born chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour was in Iran to report on the nuclear issue.

CNN, apologizing to Hitler in a Headress over a translation issue? Sorry, did I miss their apologies to President Bush over their reporting of the forged "National Guard Memos"? Hmm, can't seem to find it...maybe a different search engine?

Gore Rants, America Smirks...

..and thinks, 'there but for the grace of God, he may have been our President!". Perhaps the second angriest politician in America (behind Teddy Kennedy, whose viciousness may be simply disguised self-loathing), Gore spent his MLK day bashing the President with hackneyed buzzwords, certain to enrapture him to his loony base while drawing little but yawns from the general populace:

Former Vice President Al Gore asserted Monday that President Bush “repeatedly and persistently” broke the law ...
...“a threat to the very structure of our government” Gore charged...
Gore said that Bush’s actions represented a “direct assault” ...

OK, heard it all before, from Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy...all the usual suspects. Hey Al, maybe if you tried to be even louder and shriller, maybe someone (besides the MSM) would pay you some attention! Like that time you held a global warming conference in NYC on the coldest day of the year, shrieking all along that the cold was due to the heat...wait, bad example....

Anyway, the RNC puts him firmly in his place:

Tracey Schmitt, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, shot back: “Al Gore’s incessant need to insert himself in the headline of the day is almost as glaring as his lack of understanding of the threats facing America. While the president works to protect Americans from terrorists, Democrats deliver no solutions of their own, only diatribes laden with inaccuracies and anger.”

There but for the grace of God, indeed...

Iran Warns The West: Roll Over!

The limp-wristed Europeans threaten toothless sanctions against Iran, and even that is too much of an affront to the Middle East's homegrown Hitler...from Little Green Footballs:

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the hardline President of Iran, launched an angry tirade against the West yesterday, accusing it of a ‘dark ages’ mentality and threatening retaliation unless it recognised his country’s nuclear ambitions.
In a blistering assault, Ahmadinejad repeated the Islamic regime’s position that it would press ahead with a nuclear programme despite threats by the European Union and United States to refer Iran to the UN Security Council, where it could face possible sanctions.

Addressing a rare press conference in Tehran, he appeared to issue thinly veiled threats against Western countries, implying that they could face serious consequences unless they backed down. ‘You need us more than we need you. All of you today need the Iranian nation,’ Ahmadinejad said. ‘Why are you putting on airs? You don’t have that might.’

I know this doesn't scare the United States or Israel, but it could send the Europeans scuttling into their surrender holes...wait, they're already there!

France said Friday it was "premature" to speak of sanctions against Iran for resuming sensitive nuclear activities.

"The question of sanctions is premature," foreign ministry spokesman Jean-Baptiste Mattei said. Instead it was necessary to "proceed step by step" after Thursday's meeting of the French, German and British foreign ministers in Berlin.
Paris would "continue consultations" with Russia, China and its European partners on the issue, the spokesman said...

[link here: http://www.ttc.org/200601131147.k0dblr324328.htm]

And they will continue consultations, until the new Muslim Caliphate is restored to a seat in Paris. But the French have been through this before, and they know the drill - bow down to your new masters, hand over the Jews, and you will be allowed to live...

And let us remind the world whom is actually in the "dark ages"...note the two gentlemen being executed below - do you know what their crime was?

These fellows are being hung for the high crime of being homosexuals in Ahmadinejad's Iran...so where is GLADD, by the way? Probably still bashing Bush's America as "fascist" and hunting down critics whom give poor reviews to "Brokeback Mountain" (here: http://jerseynut.blogspot.com/2006/01/brokeback-mountain-love-it-or-else.html#links ). Pathetic liberals...

The next war is on the horizon and moving fast, like a summer thunderstorm...we'd better get ready, this one is gonna be nasty...

"Kennedyism" - the New McCarthyism

Ted Kennedy's hateful behavior at the Alito confirmation hearings is getting some press (although not from his liberal lapdogs in the mainstream media). First, in today's New York Post, Arthur Herman writes:

...McCarthy's defeat seemed to vindicate their own excesses. Liberals began to label conservatives as closet fascists, embodiments of a primitive and pathological "paranoid style" of politics, while the media applauded.
Over the next decades, while conservatives were reining in the rhetoric, liberals were settling into the habit of attacking every Republican as a crypto-Nazi, a racist, a sexist and a religious bigot — and those who supported them as an ignorant redneck lynch mob...
Democrats came to see themselves as entitled to smear every conservative as a racist and every conservative organization as a looming threat to civil liberties, while the media accepted that rhetorical excess as standard operating procedure.
And — like McCarthy — as the Democrats' political fortunes began to slip, they assumed that the way to reverse course was to ramp up the rhetoric, "to get their message out," instead of turning it down.
Then came Wednesday.
THIS time, the TV camera, trained by chance on Mrs. Alito's face, revealed the human cost of their recklessness — just as it did that June afternoon in 1954.
The media filter's control of the direction of our public perceptions and sympathies has been suddenly reversed. Americans can see which is the party of reason and compassion, and which the party of demagogues.
And Sen. Kennedy's strident demands for a closed session to sniff out Judge Alito's connection to a long-defunct conservative Princeton alumni group sounded precisely like McCarthy's "Point of order, Mr Chairman," during the Army hearings — the exact same kind of "are you now, or have you ever been" guilt-by-association attack that McCarthy made famous.

And Mark Levin takes the media to task for its acceptance of this "standard operating procedure":

The media like to pat themselves on the back for taking down Joseph McCarthy. They award themselves the Edward R. Murrow Award for courage in journalism as Murrow is viewed as the reporter who exposed McCarthy. McCarthy’s name has been turned into a synonym for character assassination. And yet, judicial-confirmation hearing after judicial-confirmation hearing — during the terms of Republican presidents — there sits Ted Kennedy on the Senate Judiciary Committee using every sleazy tactic fed to him by every sleazy left-wing group to destroy the reputation of honorable men and women.
...Kennedy has played the role of McCarthy for 40 years, and always to a fawning press. He’s a greater menace than McCarthy ever was. Indeed, McCarthy’s influence lasted only four years. In 1954, the Senate censured McCarthy for his behavior. Today’s Senate lacks the statesmen to censure Kennedy, and the media lack the integrity to expose him.

We don't have to ask where Mr. Kennedy's sense of decency is...he lost it long ago, along with the body of a female companion, down in the depths of Chappaquidick...
But what of the media? It reminds me now of some once-chaste girl, now fallen, taken by many, used by most, whom demands to know why she is called a whore...
